We will be traveling with our DD who is 18 yo and is very happy traveling with us on the DCL -- she's been before and loved it BUT what can she do? Is there a club for the 18 and up group? She's happy just laying out, being able to go to Palo's with us, and going to the spa but I would appreciate any other info. you could give. She had so much fun on past cruises at the teen club but I thought that was for under 18. Thanks.

She can do anything except drink alcohol. :) Seriously, she will have a blast at the "adult" activities and all the evening theme nights in the clubs. She can go to Dueling Pianos, the dance clubs, the adult versions of the entertainers...whatever she wants. She'll especially enjoy having the Quiet Cove Pool available, it is SOOOO much quieter than the other two pools. :)

The first night of our cruise they had a meet and greet in Rockn Bar D (Hosted by DJ LA). This was for young adults 18-22. My daughter had a friend along (which helped) and they also met a few others. They came back in the wee hours every morning (3am or so) and when we woke they always had lots of stories to tell us. They were getting a kick out of watching the 'older adults' drink and behave 'badly' in the bar at night. They usually sat at a table with a few adults letting loose -- and they had a wonderful time with them! DJ LA always seemed to be around too -- and they felt a definite bound with him by the end of the week.

hsteacher...my 18 yo son will be with us and I have the same concerns. I think both of them will be fine and have a great time. When are you cruising? We are going on the eastern June 14th.

Thanks for everyone's help -- trobert: we are on the 3/32 Wonder. Hopefully there will be some other 18/19 yo along.

I am also concerned about my 18 yr old niece who will be traveling with us. She will be a senior in high school and I think would have more fun in common grounds than hanging out with us "old folks" at the adult clubs. She looks young and I have said she'll need to wear a sign that says "I really am 18" or she will be asked to leave the adult areas. Just wondering if she can still go to common grounds?

They do let some 18 year olds in CG on case by case basis.....maybe if you explain that she would feel more comfortable in CG then maybe they will allow her to go. I think alot depends on how far past their 17th birthday they are.

I am also interested in finding out about 18 year olds for the Common Grounds activities. When we go my daughter will be 18, but her best friend will only be 17. Obviously they are not going to let the 17 year old go to adult activities, but will they let the 18 year old do the teen activities? Thanks for any replies.

On their recent cruise, my cousin's 18 y.o. dtr. was allowed to join in Common Grounds activities with her 17 y.o. brother. On my last Disney cruise I was with same cousin and her then 17 y.o. DD. -all female cruise :D On that one the 17 y.o. wanted nothing to do with Common Grounds because she didn't know anyone. Had a great time going there with her brother this trip.
