$18 Roundtrip - doing the super happy dance!!

I can forward you the promo email if you will PM me with your email address. It expires tonight at midnight, I double checked that. Yes - we are members of the $9 club and you have to be logged in as a member.

Our dates are June 10-June 13. There are only specific dates but they happened to work for us.

I can forward the promo email to anyone interested but I think that I need each email address b/c I dont know how to link (and not sure that I would be allowed to do that). :goodvibes

Quick Question do all members of the traveling party need to join? Ie do only I need to join, my wife and I, or the whole family to get the $9 fair?

Thanks!

Only one person has to join. I am the spirit member in our family and I just booked everyone on one reservation and used my credit card. Good luck!

Thank you so much for sharing this information. And Yeah for you for snagging those great airfares. Spirit does not fly out from our town, but it would still be worth the drive to San Antonio if we can get $9 fares for our July trip.

You are welcome! Have a great trip. :goodvibes

Quick update - Spirit has fares to Orlando for .10 cents (yes, 10 cents) today. They dont fly from all major markets but you may be able to find connections.

Hope that helps someone get to see the mouse a little sooner than planned! :cool1:

Hey Global_Mom,

How long have you been a member of the Spirit $9 fare club? Can you give me any sort of review?

We'd be willing to drive 3 hours to get to Atlantic City for fares like that!

I signed up for their e-mails and did get the 5 and 10cent sale list, but it says you have to be a member of the fare club to get those rates. We're not going until March 09 so I'm just wondering when and if I should spend the $40 for membership.

Any feedback would be appreciated.:thumbsup2

I joined a couple of months ago and took our first flight with them in Feb. (to MCO). I had been getting the emails prior to joining but I joined so that I would be able to get the super low fares. Sometimes their fares are higher than Delta so you have to wait for specific sales and dates.

When I joined the club it was $9 for the first few months "trial period" and then $29 per year after that. The $29 charge appeared on my Amex about 90 days after I joined.

If you think that you are going to join the club then I would go ahead and do it so that you can jump on a super cheap fare the minute that they release them. I get emails from them about 2x per week, some are great sales and some are irrelevant to our market.

Hope this helps! ( I would also drive 3 hours for these really cheap fares)

Uh-oh. You better look for another flight. Skybus closed it's doors tonight.

I was just going to post that. I went to Skybus to see what it was about and there was a message about it ceasing operations tonight.

Hopefully, Sprit won't go the way of ATA and Aloha and the other one whose name I can't remember that just went out of business this week stranding people at their locations with no way to get home. Economics says that a company can't stay in business with $18 round trip flights or $.10 flights.

I agree and wouldn't be celebrating until you get home at the end of your vacation. With three airlines shutting down within a weeks time, and even the majors facing financial difficulties, flying an airplane at a loss doesn't help the bottom line.

Hopefully it works out.
