17y/o flying alone how much $ to bring?

My niece will be joining us on an upcoming trip for a few days. This is a graduation gift to her. But my only concern is how much money to giver her for the flight? As much as I love her, she is really not responsible with money. If I give her too much she will likely just spend it at the airport on junk! But I need to give her some traveling money, so how much? She will be dropped off and picked up so the only thing I can think of is just some $ for a snack or so. But than again, I think what if the flight is delayed?

Any opinions?
