DCL Day 3...Alone Time!

I hustled back to the room, changed into my swimsuit and hurried to the spa. There I was handed a glass of cucumber infused water and asked to wait for my therapist. Within a few moments she was leading me back to a private suite. We walked through the suite which had two treatment tables (and was very lovely indeed). There were flowers and petals strewn about the room along with colored pieces of glass and stones placed in pleasing arrangements.

We walked through the suite and out on to a private veranda. If the suite was lovely, the veranda was STUNNINGLY AMAZING! There was a double bed, a whirlpool for two, an alfresco shower and then there was the view. Miles and miles of open ocean....

The first thing I did was sit down on the double bed (really a lounger, but the size of a double bed with comfy pillows). I was given a robe and told to get comfy. When the therapist came back, she directed me to the bed lounger. I was to sit on the edge and she would wash my feet for me. Ahhh, it was a very relaxing foot cleansing with a mini foot massage thrown in. :cloud9:

I was then asked to pick which treatment I would like to receive. I chose a facial and scalp massage. While she was getting that ready in the inner suite, I would be soaking in the whirlpool tub, watching the ocean and the sky. She gave me my choice of bath salts, added my chosen salts to the water, poured me a glass of lemon infused water and left the rest of the pitcher on the edge of the tub in case I wanted a refill during my soak. She then exited the verandah and told me she would be back in a half an hour. Soaking in hot water (not too hot though) while sipping cool infused water and watching the ocean waves dance by...I was totally blissed out.

Toasting myself and the beauty of my surroundings.

As I laid there, I was totally relaxed by the time she knocked and asked me to make my way inside. After wrapping up in the comfy robe, I headed back in and she left the room again so that I could slide down under the warmed sheets (the table was slightly heated) of the treatment table.

She then proceeded to give me a very relaxing facial followed by an even more relaxing neck, shoulder and scalp massage with frangapani scalp treatment. She was so good that I almost fell asleep while enjoying the treatments. Almost...I didn't want to miss the chance to soak up such a relaxed feeling by snoozing away the time. :cloud9:

I think that treatment lasted about an hour (I wasn't wearing my watch). Upon completion, she told me to step outside and rinse off under the outdoor shower and then lay down on the outdoor lounge bed. I did so and she gave me more than enough time to get the robe back on and settle down on to the lounger. She then rolled in a tea tray and served me the tea of my choice.

While the tea was steeping, she told me to lay back and relax and that she would be bringing me a fresh tray of fruit. Within a few minutes she brought the fresh fruit. There were skewers with pineapple, grapes, strawberries and melons. There were also some very delicious chocolate covered strawberries. Oh the joy! :lovestruc I was once again totally blissed out.:cloud9:

I had another forty five minutes of time to relax, zone out and just watch the waves and clouds roll by. As I was laying there, I must have fallen asleep and when I woke up, there was a very strong wind whipping across the front of the enclosed veranda (although the front was thrown totally open, the front sides were encased in glass). It got so strong that I got up and closed the sliding glass across the open front area as well. Even the approach of what seemed like a hurricane force storm (I knew it wasn't, but it sure sounded VERY loud and was starting to look VERY rough as far as the waves...although I didn't feel a change in the motion of the ship at all) I was still totally relaxed and watched the clouds go from puffy white to light gray to a deep shade of charcoal. She brought me back into the treatment room, asked me if I wanted to go over the products used (when I said I was not interested, she didn't push at all) and had me sign the receipt.

She then led me back to the locker room where I quickly showered using the good Elemis conditioner and shampoo again. I also stayed in the locker room blow drying my hair instead of heading back to our room to do it. I was still enjoying my me time and trying to draw it out as long as possible. :cutie: :cloud9:

When I finally emerged from the spa, I was feeling very happy and completely relaxed. Little did I know that my happiness and relaxed state of mind would come to an abrupt halt upon my return to our stateroom.

Why? Well...that's for the next installment.;) I don't want to taint such a beautiful spa experience by sharing my annoyance and upset in the same post. I will leave you with one hint. It was Disney that did the upsetting.

As always, THANK YOU! :) I am glad you are back. I have missed you! We should look into a Mousetriper/Jaycns family cruise! :):)

Oh my goodness Jay, we should definitely look into that. How fun would that be. I know it would be a blast and a riot to hang out with you and your beautiful family. I know my DD would just fall in love with all your boys and think how cute our two babies would be together. I can see all the pictures now!!! Hahaha....!!!

Let's plan it....wait...correction....YOU plan it, I'll just send money and show up. Hahahaha!!!!! (cracking myself up over here...)

O My Gosh!!!! Well let me first say that I started reading your TR back in October but I lost track of it because I got married that month and then the honeymoon and yada, yada, yada, yada.......Anyway I have now caught up on everything and I'm at a complete loss for words. I'm seriously in awe. Your trip just sounds amazing, I'm completely jealous. The surprises you did for your family and friends were just awesome, truely awesome. And Stitch and Cinderella are to cute for words, I loved how she stayed with him when he had the headache. SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!! Anyway all your pictures are wonderful and I can't wait to hear about the rest of the cruise. Keep up with the great writing and pictures.

WOW, your exotic spa treatment sounds wonderful. I think I would enjoy throwing the mud at DH too. Hahaha. Your obsession with bath lotions and whatnot makes me laugh....you are just like my friend Lala. One day I was at her house and I opened a closet to put something away for her and the ENTIRE closet was FULL of bath soaps and lotions. I am not kidding you....completely full. Not a single other item was in that huge closet. Hahahaha....funny thing was, we had just gone shopping and she had bought a bunch of items from Bath & Body Works. That is what I was putting away for her when I fully became aware of her obsession. Hahahaha. :rotfl2:

Too funny...I do have to admit though, because of you Jay, I am now hooked on those Bath Bombs from the Grand Floridian. Oh my goodness, those are amazing. I love 'um. I really wish I had bought more.

:scared1: What a cliffhanger???!!!!! You are NOT supposed to do that to us Jay!!! Hopefully you will be kind enough to post EARLY tomorrow morning...hint hint hint. LOL!~!!
:goodvibes

Amazing spa treatments!! I have read about the first treatment you and your dh did and you are saying the same things! Everyone highly recommends it! ;)
And then another treatment!!! Way to go!! That must have been so relaxing! It sounded like one of those moments that you just want to bottle up and open at any time. :flower3:
Hummmm... something sounds ominous for your next report. :scared: I hope it's not too bad!

Wow Jay, you are SO lucky to have been able to enjoy 2 spa treatments in one day! I don't think there is anything quite as relaxing as a scalp massage; I rank them above full body and shoulder massages (maybe it's because I carry 99% of my stress in my shoulders and massages make them hurt!:headache: ). It must be nice to know that you have a "guardian" in Aladdin and that you can be confident in leaving him with the younger ones for a bit while you and DH enjoy time to yourselves. You are truly blessed:goodvibes .

WOW - two awesome spa treatments in one day?! I soooooo wish I was you

I am a little nervous with how you left off though...........

WOW What a lovely relaxing Spa day!! The Exotic Rasul was already on our list of things to do for the VR, but the mud fight just sealed the deal!! :rotfl: Can't wait for that!! And your relaxing afternoon spa treatment...heavenly!!

Uh oh!! What happened to ruin paradise??? :headache:

As much as I would LOVE to throw mud at my DH, I think we would enjoy this second spa session together much more. :rolleyes1

Uh-oh!!! Not a Disney Disappointment! :scared1: Do tell!!!

I think I've said before but DH and I have done a similar rascal treatment and errrr it ummmm wan't very errrr G rated :rotfl: The second spa treatment sounded heavenly, how long did it exactly last?

This was not the update for me to read today! I'm sitting here in the almost sub zero northeast with strep throat and a baby with pink eye...and now I'm insanely jealous of those spa treatments!!
LOL

I tried to talk DH into a rasul ritual on our last cruise on RCI, but he wouldn't go for it. I'll be talking him in to it next time for sure!!

Everything sounded just wonderful!! I just love the spa and all those relaxation feelings it brings! :lovestruc

We thought of the Little Prince when we were at MK!

Congratulations! How are you enjoying being a newlywed?

Thanks for the sweet comments. Stitch and Cinderella are really a lot of fun to watch, they are highly entertaining. ;) I will be posting another update later today.

Okay I might just have a closet of my own. ;) I thought it was normal to have stacks of bath products...you never know what scent you might fancy.

See, I told you those bathbombs were the bomb!:lmao:

I will get to working on the update later today. :)

That second treatment sounds so relaxing!
It was very relaxing. I wish I was back on the veranda right about now.:cloud9:

I do so wish I could have bottled the relaxed state of mind I was in. I would be sneaking whiffs of that almost daily! I loved my time at the spa! In fact, Mrs. Friend and I are planning a spa afternoon/dinner out next week! Ahhh....I wish it were going to be on board the Magic!

For me it's the foot massage...I just melt. Way better than a full body massage as far as I am concerned. I do adore the scalp massage as well. It was nice...and knowing that Mrs. Friend was 'on call' just a few doors down made it even better! ;)

I count my blessings everyday. I do feel very, very blessed!

WOW - two awesome spa treatments in one day?! I soooooo wish I was you

I am a little nervous with how you left off though...........
Make it a reality. On your next WDW trip, schedule two spa treatments for yourself. One of the positives about not having a daughter is that you can spend all of your precious spa pennies on yourself instead of having to share. ;) Okay, it really would be nice to share, but since there is no little princess in your home (or mine)...I think we need to take the responsibility of fully enjoying the spa for our entire family, VERY seriously! ;)

It might be a fun activity to plan for the day after your renewal! :) It was one of the times I felt closest to dh in all of our married days. It was wonderful!

As much as I would LOVE to throw mud at my DH, I think we would enjoy this second spa session together much more. :rolleyes1

Uh-oh!!! Not a Disney Disappointment! :scared1: Do tell!!!
Ha ha ha. Throwing mud is always good CLEAN fun. ;)

I think I've said before but DH and I have done a similar rascal treatment and errrr it ummmm wan't very errrr G rated :rotfl: The second spa treatment sounded heavenly, how long did it exactly last?
Ha ha ha, I don't think our entire time in their would garner a 'G' rating... :cool2:

I think it was a 2 and 1/2 hour treatment (from start to finish). I might be off by a half an hour on that estimate. It was VERY heavenly!:cloud9:

Sorry to hear about the strep throat and the pink eye. :( Poor little thing. How did she enjoy her first Chritsmas?

SO nice to see such a happy update! Jay, your trips are just incredible!
Thank you, Linda. I think that I am need a few pointers from your dh on pulling off incredible times at WDW! ;)

Everything sounded just wonderful!! I just love the spa and all those relaxation feelings it brings! :lovestruc

We thought of the Little Prince when we were at MK!

100_4101_00.jpg
OH, I love that!!! Do you mind if I make that my screen saver for a bit. It makes me smile (cause I think of you and my little nugget and WDW all at the same time! ;)

Tomorrow the nugget is ONE!!!:scared1:
