Okay me being the football fanatic that I am thinks that is the coolest thing I've heard in a long time, being able to watch football on a jumbo screen under the stars. Sounds heavenly to me. They can't seem to figure out why someone from Oklahoma would be a Vikings fan - I just tell them I haven't ALWAYS lived in Oklahoma!

I was a couple updates behind (as usual), so I have to comment on your spa experiences...HOW HEAVENLY!!!!!!! How wonderful for a Momma of four boys to get some quality time with her DH and then ALONE TIME. I'm sure that's near unheard of!! That is a true vacation! I loved reading all about it and when we eventually go on a cruise, a spa visit -or two- will be required.

I'm so sorry to hear about the ordeal with the laundry. What a pain for you to have to deal with-and to have to deal with it more than once too. I am very happy to hear they eventually made it right though.

You are right about the customer service actually making them thousands. I have a co-worker who recently said the same thing about an experience of Disney loosing a very sought after ADR on them. The CM for his family of eight, made it very right-giving them the ADR for the next day and free park passes for the next day! They go back every year.

Looking forward to reading about your next port of call!!!

Jay, I am sooooo jealous of all those SPA treatments!!! One word comes to my mind "HEAVENLY"!!!!

I will be sure to post some first birthday pictures...they will just be 'false' pictures. Instead of yesterday getting better, it got worse. Now it's LP, dh and Goofy who are dealing with the stomach flu. Aladdin and I feel 'yuck' but haven't actually been sick. Lucky for Stitch, he seems to be unfazed. I am now hoping on tomorrow (at the soonest) for any sort of birthday anything. We did let him have his new Fisher Price Little People barn yesterday and in between sleeping, feeling really poorly and laying there doing nothing, he seemed to really like it. We are saving the rest of his presents and cake for when everyone here is feeling less like living in the bathroom and more like a party. Poor Little Prince.

I think this sums up your whole post perfectly! Seriously, though, I think that if anyone takes your money with the promise of delivering a service, then you should expect to get what was implied and/ or promised. The whole ordeal just seems so "UnDisneylike"!

I must add a

to LP as well! It's hard to believe that this time last year you were holding an itty-bitty baby and now you have a drooling, teething, getting-into-everything real-life little action figure! May every year be as good as the past one and may LP and the rest of your family enjoy time with the ones nearest and dearest to you.

It is hard to believe that in the span of only 12 months my bitty baby became a big infant that can walk, talk (at least a few words), play and laugh. Life is truly good (even with the stomach funk in the house).

I think it was a communication break down between the person I was speaking to and the rest of the laundry area. I think that the reason they were acting as if they were doing us a favor is that they thought they were. I don't think those doing it/delivering it had any clue that an issue had occured. Instead, we must have looked like overbearing guests who were demanding they jump through hoops for us yet weren't even willing to be grateful. At least I am going to assume that's what happened.

I cannot wait to share our wonderful day in Grand Cayman.

Good grief!!! I'm glad to hear that the laundry issue was finally handled in an acceptable manner but how crazy that you even had to go through all that. So un disney like. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures in Grand Cayman.

I can't believe they tried to charge you!! But i am soooo sooo soo glad the officer did appologize. you're right, the refunds and credit don't meananything if they don't own up to the fact that they screwd up and that is not what Disney stands for.

After all the ridiculous laundry drama that Disney inflicted on you, I got the warm fuzzies reading the rest!! How wonderful to have special friends like that, great kids, and to be on a cruise ship making incredible memories. I am just loving this, Jay!

I think I might borrow that phrase for my next trip report.. "Making Incredible Memories"...I really like how that sounds.

It was very cool and don't worry about being a diehard Bears fan...I won't hold it against you. Believe it or not, I married a diehard Bears fan. Not only does dh not love all things Disney, he is a Bears fan through and through. I guess love doesn't account for taste.

I am glad you found another Vikings fan, I hear they are rare. Actually, my very best childhood friend moved to MN and is now a huge Vikings fan. I am a good enough friend that I actually bought her a Vikings helmet at EPCOT that she wore to a game this year!!

Sorry to hear you are having one of those weeks. I am actually in the middle of one of THOSE weeks myself. Celebrating your baby's first birthday while the entire family has the stomach flu has to qualify me. Writing the updates has helped me to escape. Right now while everyone else is taking a nap, it's much nicer to focus on the amazing trip we took than the harsh reality of the stomach flu.

The spa treatments are heavenly. And although it's not the cheapest of pursuits while on a cruise ship...something about the motion of the ocean, the pampering, the surroundings...it's just hard to beat it!
