17 Days of Wishes Come to Life- A Sept. 08 WDW and DCL Adventure 3/27 new link posted

Big time fun!!

It is so bittersweet when they start growing up, isn't it? You're happy for them, excited that they are finding their way, but at the same time, it is still your baby!

Loved the Nugget's matching hat and shorts. Very GQ!!

Can't wait for more!

Love the snorkeling pictures:thumbsup2 We went snorkeling in the Bahamas last summer and the water was so rough we all got really seasick. I'd love to try it again someplace where the water is calmer. Your pictures are awesome!

I had never heard of Flounder's. A coworker of mine is in the early stages of planning a Disney cruise vacation but wasn't sure if there would be any childcare available for their 2 year old. I'll have to pass that info along to her.

Stitch and Cinderella are too cute together!
Flounder's is GREAT! I felt totally safe leaving our little guy there and he was always either happy as a clam or sleeping when we returned. Flounder's takes kids from 6 weeks to 3 years (they have to be 3 years old and potty trained to go to the 'big kid's club). The only thing "wrong" with Flounder's is you need to pay per hour per child. BUT... for that young of a child they are sailing free (after paying for port charges and taxes) so it more than evens out price wise. You are guarenteed ten hours per cruise but both times we have cruised with an infant we had no trouble getting all of the hours we needed/wanted. HTH.

Thanks for sticking with me!

Castaway Cay looks so amazing! I guess it's a testament to how wonderful the clubs are that the kids never want to leave. It all just sounds so wonderful. Ahhhhh:cloud9:

Has your family ever sailed on another cruise line? The reason I ask is because my whole family is supposed to go on a cruise next year to celebrate my parent's 40th wedding anniversary. I couldn't sell them on Disney (although I tried real hard) but seeing as how we're the only ones out of 16 people bringing our kids I kind of understand. Anyways I was hoping I could get your input being the travel queen that you are. :thumbsup2
I have sailed on Royal Caribbean but not with the family. I don't think you can go wrong...a cruise to someone tropical is amazing no matter what. How much fun to travel with your entire family! That sounds like a great adventure. I hope you are having a great holiday season. How are the kids doing?

What a nice picture of you and DH together! :cloud9: Your night at the Walt Disney Theater sounds so much fun, I'd love to see all the cruise ship entertainment on a Disney cruise! You just know it's top-notch. How funny the kids don't want to leave their groups  The snorkeling excursion sounds fun, I'm sure it was beautiful. How cute are Stitch and Cinderella? ;)
Nice? HA. I was almost embarrased to post it. ;) I look all water logged. And dh looks like he wet himself (although he claims he did not ;) ). It was just a really fun day and I treasure every memory/picture...even the ones that are not that flattering. ;)

I think you can watch some of the shows on You Tube (???someone told me that, but I have never looked). It was a constant battle to regain my children. ha ha ha.

Big time fun!!

I know, I L-O-V-E-D the nugget's swim outfit. I am heart broken that he won't fit into it next swim season. Ahhh, I guess I will just have an excuse to shop for another one. :rotfl:

DCL Day 2...More Castaway Cay Fun!

Once we reached the beach we went straight for the water.

While we were enjoying the water, Mrs. Friend grabbed an umbrella/lounge chair and took a nap. At the water's edge, we were approached by a family who was going back to the ship for the day and wanted to know if we would like to have the floats they had rented. YES WE WOULD! THANK YOU SWEET FAMILY!! Stitch and Cinderella were VERY excited about this development and made full use of them!

What a view.
wddw08386.jpg

We borrowed one of the floats for our Little Prince. Just like his mom, he loves the ocean! I loved watching him splash and look at the water in awe. I also liked the sour face he made upon sticking his fingers in his mouth after dipping them in the salty water. He was so happy splishing and splashing away the afternoon.

Being they had only one float, they started a game of "Pirate of the Float" (think "King of the Hill"). I laughed so hard as they gave each other their best pirate growls.

And then a full on battle started!
wddw08400.jpg

Stitch was momentarily victorious.

However, Cinderella was not a sore loser.

And after a few more rounds they called it a tie and shared.

All too quickly, our afternoon in the water was coming to a close and we ran over to pick up Goofy from the Grouper Pavilion where his club was playing sand soccer. Aladdin and Abu were also in that area playing beach volleyball with the Ocean Quest bunch. With more than a little convincing on our parts, we reclaimed all of our children and took the long walk back to the tram stop. Here's a picture of our Little Prince right before he fell asleep on his daddy's shoulder.

Once back on the ship we took lightning fast showers (having two rooms came in handy right about this time!) and LOST OUR KIDS ONE MORE TIME! Aladdin was begging to go back and by saying yes to him, we had to say yes to the other two as well. Mrs. Friend dropped them off while dh and I grabbed the Little Prince and headed up to the Buena Vista Theater and saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets. We missed the first twenty minutes, but being as we had seen it before, it wasn't a big deal. We enjoyed the movie while our LP enjoyed his nap. Once it ended, we grabbed our boys (who once again weren't ready to come with us...are you sensing the pattern here?!) and got ready for dinner.

To be continued...

Here are a few random shots that I forgot to include.

We are off on another vacation tomorrow morning. This time to the COLD :cold: of IL and WI. We are going to hit a bunch of museums and visit family. I doubt I will have a chance to pop back online until we return home next week. I will make sure to post an update shortly after we return home. In the meantime, I wish you all a very safe and very happy NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to you too, Jay!

By the way, you guys might be pleasantly surprised when you head up to our territory. We are experiencing unseasonally warm temps right now. We were almost in the 50's today! Although I heard another cold front might be on the horizon. :scared1:

I loved all the pictures!

Happy New Year to you, Jay! By the time you get home, I will be winging my way to (hopefully) sunny warm Florida! Doncha wanna come down for a girlfriend's get away?

Cool update! Love all the photos. The Flying Dutchman looks frickin' awesome!

All the fish pictures reminds me of my favorite Nemo quote:

I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.
