DCL Day 2...More
Castaway Cay Fun!
Once we reached the beach we went straight for the water.
While we were enjoying the water, Mrs. Friend grabbed an umbrella/lounge chair and took a nap. At the water's edge, we were approached by a family who was going back to the ship for the day and wanted to know if we would like to have the floats they had rented. YES WE WOULD! THANK YOU SWEET FAMILY!!
Stitch and
Cinderella were VERY excited about this development and made full use of them!
What a view.
We borrowed one of the floats for our
Little Prince. Just like his mom, he loves the ocean! I loved watching him splash and look at the water in awe. I also liked the sour face he made upon sticking his fingers in his mouth after dipping them in the salty water. He was so happy splishing and splashing away the afternoon.
Being they had only one float, they started a game of "Pirate of the Float" (think "King of the Hill"). I laughed so hard as they gave each other their best pirate growls.
And then a full on battle started!
Stitch was momentarily victorious.
However, Cinderella was not a sore loser.
And after a few more rounds they called it a tie and shared.
All too quickly, our afternoon in the water was coming to a close and we ran over to pick up
Goofy from the Grouper Pavilion where his club was playing sand soccer.
Aladdin and Abu were also in that area playing beach volleyball with the Ocean Quest bunch. With more than a little convincing on our parts, we reclaimed all of our children and took the long walk back to the tram stop. Here's a picture of our
Little Prince right before he fell asleep on his daddy's shoulder.
Once back on the ship we took lightning fast showers (having two rooms came in handy right about this time!) and LOST OUR KIDS ONE MORE TIME! Aladdin was begging to go back and by saying yes to him, we had to say yes to the other two as well. Mrs. Friend dropped them off while dh and I grabbed the Little Prince and headed up to the Buena Vista Theater and saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets. We missed the first twenty minutes, but being as we had seen it before, it wasn't a big deal. We enjoyed the movie while our
LP enjoyed his nap. Once it ended, we grabbed our boys (who once again weren't ready to come with us...are you sensing the pattern here?!) and got ready for dinner.
To be continued...
