I was hoping that my dh and I would be able to fly down at this rate to visit a friend, but the dates from Dulles that are still available just don't work with our schedule.

I was trying for Toldeo airport too! I was thinking if we got the cheap airfare that I would priceline a hotel.

Just booked out of Syracuse! 5 people, round trip, $280! WOW! We just avoided 4 days in the van with a 13 month old. With this price, it's just as cheap to fly as to drive, and saves so much time. We had to try for about an hour to get on the server, they are having problems but we got through. Found some good rental car deals as well.

Keep trying if this will work for you, it's an unbeatable deal.

Vacation express says they are sold out of $16 rate, but they have $39 each way rates available.

Just got an email saying our reservations are 'waitlisted' whatever that means, and they will tell us if they went through tommorrow. Could be the faires were a mistake, and they are figuring what to do? Don't know, hope we get it, now that we got all excited about it!

DreadpiratK oh, i am sorry to hear that it may have been a mistake, i hope you still get the fare. I checked and it was $480 for 4 people out of chgo.

I was told when I called that I could "request" the fare, give them my cc number and then wait and see if my tickets were available. Kinda like Priceline. I wonder if you can actually get the fares on their site or not? When I shopped around a little after talking to one of their agents the $130 per person round trip didn't sound so bad. It would be $500 total for four tickets and two lap babies. To go when I really want to in early Oct. would be $160 per ticket plus $75 for two lap babies. I'll keep watching their fares!

Sorry, I did not notice where you were from. Rockford is over an hour closer to Minneapolis than Chicago. The airport is about a half hour into Illinois when you drive down 90.

Well, that is darn good information for me to have. Thanks so much for letting me know! We seem to never get good prices on flights and it might be worth the drive in the future. sounds like I missed out on this one though. I couldn't get through to the website like so many others.

I just tried to book two tickets from Syracuse to Orlando - price came up as $132 - can do better on the airline's site. . Maybe all of the special deals are gone

Vacation Express indicated that they were sold out of the $16 deals. I played around with a few dates yesterday, but since we're already going to be in WDW 8/7 to 8/14. I couldn't really justify going back on the 19th! Well, for $56 r/t I probably should have! I tried to convince DS that we could use this as his b'day party and cancel the actual party. He didn't go for it!

Just got my confirmation, I guess we did get it! Ye haw, I'm going to disney World

Should be fun, none of our kids have flown before (except our 1 yr old, but she doesn't care) our DS (12) is a little apprehensive, but I think he will love it.

I'm just a little disapointed, I actually like the drive down, it's a bit of an adventure as we don't really plan anything, just take off and see what happens. Oh well, I think the screaming baby would override the adventure pretty quick!

Oh yeah DreadpirateK!!! I am so glad SOMEbody actually got this fare. It restores my faith that these things are real if you are persistent and get in on it early enough. This is why I love the DIS so much! Have a great trip!!
