16 Day Spring Break! I'm An Adult, I Do What I Want ;) *Update 8/17 Complete!

Wow!! What an update! Everything looked and sounded so good!! I am also a fan of Yak & Yeti and love that you can frequently get a walk-up. I am with you on just wanting to hang out in Disney Springs (never in a million years thought I'd say that!!). And wait until you see the new Town Center - so pretty!! Sorry Morimoto was just meh. I hate when I'm assigned a bad table and/or you feel like you're on top of other tables. 5 min walk to WPE is awesome! Saratoga now on my radar due to previously mentioned love for the Springs. I bet it will become a lot more popular!

Your updates are the best! I get my Disney fix between trips because of you- thank you!!

I love your dining reviews!

We are staying at POFQ for the first time in Nov for the Wine and Dine half. I would love to get over to trails end for either breakfast or dinner. How much time do you give yourself to get from FQ to the restaurant? And would you pick breakfast or dinner if you could only do one?

Thanks!

Great update.

We loved the Firecracker shrimp at Y&Y also.

One more thing to possibly help you with the Landry gift cards. If you have Verizon Smart Rewards you can get $50 gift cards for $45 and then pay using your Discover card and save even more

Beautiful pic of the path at Port Orleans. The colors are so pretty and the light shows through the trees beautifully.

The review update was awesome! Your two movie day looked perfect. Morimoto's is beautiful and that ramen looks delicious--do you ever get ramen when you visit NYC? It's my staple there because it's cheap and good! Also the only place to really get warm on a cold, cold day.

I know what you mean about the Signatures. The last 2 times we came, I was underwhelmed by Yachtsman and Narcoossee's respectfully. I was absolutely WOWED by Captain's Grill and the Wave tho. Maybe my expectations are too high for sigs, and too low for some of the lesser known resort spots. I might abandon restaurants all together and just do lounges for a while LOL

I am going to try Flying Fish next March after the refurb, but that might be our last one for a long time!

We, too, were underwhelmed by Morimoto Asia. I'd heard such good things and it was really something my husband typically enjoys, but it just seemed really pricey for what we got. They were really accommodating for our kids and subbed out a kids meal for chicken fried rice, which my oldest son downed, but I think I'll be more apt to try the Boathouse or something else next time.

Following along. Probably won't comment much cause I'm terrible at it but I'm loving all your reviews. We also ate at Yak and Yeti for our first time on our last trip and were surprised how much we loved it!

Hi there, I just started reading your report this morning. Great stuff! I love the laid back pace of your days. And I'm jealous of all the movies!!! I love going to the movies too, lol.

Great reviews and pictures! I also loved the photos of SSR because we are staying there in 8 weeks. We've requested Congress Park and we want that view!

Massive update indeed. Can I just come on vacation with you and Rob next time? Love how you all get park time in, but really just take the time to chill (and eat and drink, my other favorite activities). I so need to take a page out of your book.

So happy you all enjoyed Yak and Yeti. Can't believe it had been so long since you'd been there. It's become one of our go too's too. In fact I can almost taste those wontons right now ; )

Speaking of pages in book, looks like Jiko wasn't quite up to snuff. It's become one of our favorites, but I feel like the menu doesn't change that often to make return visits worth it. That said I was surprised to hear they'd removed your flatbread.

Love your view from Saratoga and how close you got to be to your beloved springs. I've yet to let go of DTD (and probably never will) so I haven't quite embraced it yet :-)

Ok, I swear someone is sending me signs that we NEED to go to Trails End in November! We've never been but I've been wanting to go for the longest time. Right now I have it booked for Thanksgiving dinner but the breakfast looks soooo good, and yours is like the 3rd delicious looking review I've read in the past week. Think I need to do some rearranging and/or adding!

Wasn't Zootopia great? Thinking it's becoming one of my favorite Disney movies :goodvibes I saw it with younger
DS but older DS was too cool to come :cool1: Now I need to get him and DH to see it! Wish they'd do a Nick & Judy M&G in a park!

Awesome update..... so much yummy food and drink. Glad to hear you scored the walk up and Yak and Yeti. We ate there for the first time in March and loved it....especially the cream cheese wontons and the Yak Attack!

All of this looks so crazy good! Your review totally put Captain's Grille on the list for me. For some reason, I thought it was a 2 credit spot. When I saw it was 1 credit each and all those great choices, I'm totally sold!

Our last morning at POR before moving to SSR. I was so sad to leave this resort! I really love it here. Were up early and packed up our stuff and said goodbye to POR for now and then made our way to Fort Wilderness for breakfast. Trail's End, here we come!

We parked in the main lot at FW and took a bus back to the Settlement Depot for breakfast at one of our favorite spots.

We were seated right away and had the same server we had twice last trip, which was funny. We are becoming regulars. I love it!

I feel weird about taking pics up at the buffet, but here is an idea of what the buffet area looks like at Trail's End.

It's bigger than just that area, but you get the idea.

For Rob's first plate he got both the pulled pork on a biscuit and the normal canadian bacon on an English muffin types of eggs benedict along with shredded potatoes, french toast bread pudding, sausage and bacon.

For my first plate I had a Mickey waffle, their amazing breakfast potatoes full of meat, a cheese danish, breakfast pizza, pulled pork eggs benedict, biscuit with sausage gravy, and french toast bread pudding. Yummmmmm!!!!!!!

And of course I had to have a little 'Moonshine' to start my morning, which is their specialty juice and some water. Gotta stay hydrated at WDW.

Round two for me was another Mickey waffle, breakfast pizza, pulled pork benedict, and more of those awesome potatoes.

Let's get a closer view of that Mickey waffle, shall we.

The eggs on the eggs benedict were great today too and just the right amount of runny. They can definitely over do them here sometimes, but today they were perfect. Everything was delicious as always, and the price is right here. Our server was on top of our drinks the whole time too which was great. Another successful breakfast at Trail's End. If you have not been here for breakfast, you are missing out! It is worth the trip over to FW.
omg you are making me want to swap out my boma breakfast for this on our rest day - we are staying at the poly so could take disney transport (though with a transfer)

Caught up! Trail's End is going on my list and that SSR view looks fabulous. I may add SSR to my list of options. I am under contract for DVC points so I will probably "need" to test them out and I hear SSR is good for last minute bookings!

Rob got an Orange Grove Rum Runner. Siesta Key spiced rum, blackberry brandy, creme de banana, and Florida citrus juices with a float of Gosling's 151 rum. And boy of boy was there a float of 151 on this thing. Wow.

Cheers!

No kidding, Cheers. One of these is enough to put me on my rear end, and last time I had two. Needless to say the rest of the day did not go well for me! They are so tasty though. RESIST THE SIREN SONG OF THE SECOND ONE! And if bartender Shakila is there, wait for her and tell her that someone her hubby Michael sent also sent you... kind of a little joke but she was an awesome bartender to interact with and we loved spending time at Dockside listening to the musician!
