I doubt it has to be a good one. I submitted a haiku to Poetry.com, and got 13,000 points! (Haikus are simple -- first line has 5 syllables, 2nd line has 7 syllables, 3rd line has 5 syllables.)

I think my 13000 points showed up the next day. I didn't check my actual total before leaving the site. This was when I had those short lived 54000 points!

I did this one before when it was about 13,000 points, and i made up a stupid (i mean really stupid) it was only 4 lines and it rhymed but really was quite poor...so u could imagine my surprise when I received a letter from them saying I was being honored for my wonderful poem, and would i give them permission to print it in a special book of poetry that they would be happy to sell me for only 49.95....then it also said I was among the "few" up to win 10 Grand for my poem! What a scam!!!!!!! This one was through poetry.com
