Hi all!! No more band leader news. But awesome news on the weight loss front: My scale is a liar. The one at home is 3 lbs off from the actual one in the doctors office. So I now weigh 182!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I am so happy!
 
Hi everyone! :wave:

Back from my trip to the World. 2 vacations back to back can really get a person behind. Then on Tues, I'm off with DD17 to do college orientation for 2 days, then in a couple of weeks, it's off to camp w/ DD7, and DD15 has 2 camps lined up. I think that will put us to class reunion, a birthday, then moving stuff for college, and finally school again. Where did my summer go?

Anyway, I will be posting my WDW trip info on my journal when I get a chance, if anyone wants to check that out. Had a great time, but DH and I are a little bummed about returning to the real world. He is thinking of retiring to WDW so that he can be a kept man while I sell DVC Memberships. ;)

I will catch up with this thread as I get a chance.

Good news for me, my weight held steady at 209 during my trip, but even better is the fact that I have some water weight from the trip to shed! :cool1: Getting out of the 200's is sounding more feasible all the time. :cheer2:

WOW!!! Tigercheer2009!!! You weighed 182 at the doctors??? Was that with clothes on??? So you are SOOO close to the 170's!!! I would yell "WAIT FOR MEE!!!" But I much rather like the idea of you speeding into the 170's so I'll be motivated to catch up to you! :) So on a day when you feel like blowing it...remember me back here saying "CLEAR THE PATH!!!" :) Hoping the bandleader can lead you in one aspect or another! :) Think of it this way, as principal he'll be able to write a GLOWING letter for you for college or whatever plans you have! :)

Kathy...I'm just the opposite..I've had 2 days yes count them 2 days of being very good...but I've not walked other than a few nature trails at a 6 year old's pace...I did manage to swim 4 laps yesterday but they weren't long laps just regular size pool laps...so let's do a Freaky Friday twist and you'll get my good eating habits and I'll get your walking habit this weekend! Together we can make each other big losers! :)

Lacerta!! Glad you had a great trip!! I just don't believe in dieting while on vacation...I'm glad all that walking let you enjoy yourself! :) You can see FIREWORKS by the 4th!!! I just know it!!!

Got sunburned yesterday so I'm lazying around today...did just carry a friends 3 year old on my back for 1/2 a mile...feeling that's worth something! :) Drinking some unsweet tea....really need to make some water in today..I am the worst at drinking my water!!!

Hi Tara-clothes on, flip flops on, at 6:30 pm. Thanks for the positive thoughts! I'm counting on you all for when it snows in the winter for clearing the path (wink wink!) That he will, that he will. My mom said he wouldn't be able to keep himself out of the classroom, he'd "substitute" for the band head guy or something! Oh well...3,2,1 over it! Switch you my exercise habits, Tara! Kudos for keeping on the healthy eating track! ::yes::

I can't be on a "lifestyle change" on my vacation!

Today was weigh in for me and I lost another 1.5lbs. That puts me offically in the 220's, last time I saw this weight was before I got pregnant with my older son.

This weekend should be good for me, because we are just going to hang around the campground. This means lots of walking, bike riding and swimming. I also will not have much time to snack and since all meals will be in the trailer I will have control over how they are made.

I am off to go pack mine and the boys stuff in the trailer and than off to bed.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Evening All!! :sunny:

Been a very busy weekend around here - DD20 has a friend in from college for the weekend. Puppy (Cody) is becoming more of a puppy with each minute he gets more comfortable in the house YIKES!! :rotfl: Right now he is snoring - passed out in his crate - YEA!!!:):)

Then there is DD17 - what would my blood pressure be without her :rotfl2: After everything that has happened with the boyfriend - she wants to get back with him and see where the relationship goes!! BANG HEADS ON WALLS :crazy: Dh is beside himself and I am not much happier. DH and I have an appt with therapist tomorrow morning to discuss this. DD insists that he makes her happy........gee how come we only see her in pieces and get to glue her back together. She is soooooooooo mad at us right now. The mood has been icy cordial for days..........KEEP BANGING MY HEAD ON THE WALL :crazy:

On top of all of this DD17 has dance recitals this weekend. Who was the brain that decided to do this on Father's Day Weekend? :rotfl: What every father wants to do on his day. Having 13 over for bbq then off to the recital except for me - I am on puppy patrol so I went to dance recital today......nice but lonnnnnnnnnnng.

Just going to watch the food intake. Feeling really bloated - TOM is on his way.......exercising my blood pressure :rotfl2:

Hope everyone enjoys their Father's Day. Back to the grind on Monday.

Linda...oh my...oh my...okay...it's time to get drastic...don't you have a cousin or sibling you could ship her off to for the remainder of the summer? She's welcome to come to Huntsville, AL...my kids would ADORE having a big sister around! ;) your daughter sounds like a swan stuck up in the tree. Somehow she managed to fly up into a tree and has gotten comfortable being uncomfortable. She met this woodpecker while she was up there and thinks he's a good match because he's the only nut to visit that tree she's in. Doesn't she know there's a glorious world out there for her if she'll just spread her wings? She'll SOAR not drop like a lump. Hey, she could come here and teach my children dance! :) I'll be sending extra :flower: to you for your next meeting with the doc....it may just be one of those things where she has to beat her head upside the wall a few times to realize it's not good for her. You're hanging in there and I think that puppy is good diversion for you! :)

Hey, Kathy, our plan worked!!! I walked 4 miles this morning!!! But I don't think I got our plan 100% correct...you see I was doing GREAT eating and not exercising..you were doing great exercising and not eating...well, my brain just switched the two rather than COMBINING the two! I was keeping house (watering flowers) for a neighbor who went on a vacation. Well, she went to Hawaii and brought back fresh pineapple and chocolate covered macadamia nuts...aren't those just sooo taboo on low carb? Well, I started out just with the pineapple...but man I tried one macadamia delicacy and then had 4 more...ugh!!! So tomorrow I'm going to try to have a day of eating well AND exercising! :) I must lose weight this weigh in! :) How was your weekend?

Still haven't caught up on all the reading, but I just wanted to pop in and say............206! :cheer2: That water weight from WDW and traveling is finally slipping away.

I am only 1 lb from my new clippie and 6.5 lbs from ONEDERLAND! :banana: Which means only 46.5 lbs from the 150's!

I am feeling on top of the world. This is the lowest I have been in almost 3 years. What great motivation to keep on moving and losing.

Linda, :grouphug: I feel your pain we just found out our son's poison just moved back to town and has been in contact with him. I just pray he remembers how badly she burned him. But kids have short memories. Hopefully, the therapist will have some answers for you but in the mean time any time you need a shoulder just holla!! :grouphug:

I have everything set to go tomorrow....the house is full of healthy food and the treadmill is ready to go!! And I had one of those "get off your duff and get busy" moments in the Belk's dressing room Friday. Ugh! sideways is not pretty in the mirror! :rotfl: And please explain to me why they can't make cute shirts WITH sleeves in them for summer. I really hate my arms shoulder to elbow and they haven't seen daylight in 10 years and I have a hard time finding clothes to hide them. Oh well, the soon I get busy the sooner I can go shopping again. :cheer2:

Have a great Father's Day with the guys and see you bright and early tomorrow ready to kick some LBs to the curb!
 
I managed to do 13 min on the elliptical crosstrainer after eating supper. I drove 6 hours to get back to Long island. Tommorow I will attempt to get back on track with the eating. I figure if I eat lots of salads instead of going out for restraunt meals, I may actually lose some weight this week. I will be living in a motel on Long Island every other week until the end of the year.

I may change to a different hotel where I can have a microwave as well as a fridge. Is is possible to eat healthy when you eat out all the time?

Good luck to everyone who is staying focused and losing weight and to those who don't let one bad day ruin their determination to lose weight. I could use a little of that determination myself

Well, I must confess I had a hanful of pita chips this morning but that is all I have had off plan today (it's after lunch now). Sliced up a sweet juicy watermelon today so that will be my planned snack for the next few days...if it lasts that long!! :p Gotta get on the treadmill today to earn my happy face for the day.

Oh, this does not bode well....we took a co-worker out to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, and I did great for lunch -- a cup of tomato vegetable soup and Vietnamese spring summer rolls -- not fried. Then it was time for dessert. A co-worker and I split a brownie ice cream sandwich. I ate waaaay too much. So, here's my plan.

While I was at work today, my vcr was busy taping Y&R and ATWT. I plan to get on my treadmill and just walk. Not jog, not set a killer pace, just comfortably walk. I'm actually hoping I can do that every day, but today seems like a pretty good time to try this out.

It's a little thing, but if I can just let it be a one meal slip, rather than an all day food bonanza, I will be o.k. with it...
 
No, I watch B&B off and on, and I'm off right now. I just can't handle the way Taylor looks. I find the "Taylor Back From the Dead #567" not to be a story line I'm interested in.
 
That is exactly why I asked... they had her in a bikini today... EEK! I don't find that to be too motivating. Looks like there was a little help there! Have fun watching the two others! That sounds like a great way to pass the time while working out!
 
I actually did what I said I would! When it comes to exercise, that's big for me. And, honestly, it was like time wasn't passing at all. Even with FF for all the commercials (I know all about the value of Balmex and Clorox), and a few storylines I really don't like, I still walked 4 miles!

Taylor in a bikini...no thanks. I'm sorry you had to see that. ;)

I have to weigh in tomorrow or Wednesday, and I know it won't be pretty. But, if I can keep up the exerise, it should be much better next week!
 
Tiggerkeeper - I agree with you, is everyone on vacation? Great job staying on plan after eating the pita chips.

Went down to the fitness room and spent 45 min on the elliptical. :cool1::cool1: I found it goes faster if I watch the tv built into the machine instead of listening to my ipod. I also walked for 20 min at lunch time as it was a nice day :sunny: today.

Haven't quite got the eating and water part of this weight loss equation licked yet. I changed my clippie and my ticker to reflect the fact I gained back :guilty::guilty: all but 1 lb of what I had lost between February and now. Hopefully the additional exercise will help me start losing again.

Worfiedoodles - one questionable meal does not make you a failure. Look forward not back. Everyday is a new day and a chance to stay on track.

Let's approach tomorrow with a cheery attitude and try our best to stay on plan and always look forward.

Kathy...you and me both...I did 4 miles this morning at 5 am...did another 1 miler with the kids and some 2nd cousins (10 & 12 year olds)....took them to a hiking trail did 2 miles there...did 1 mile at the Botanical gardens...and swam for 2 hours...well played...I'm physically WORN DOWN!!! But I'm about to have ice cream...had chocolate chip cookies and cheetos...ugh!

Worfiedoodles...don't fear the scale...make it fear you!!! :) Uh oh..kids are all having meltdowns from a very loooooong day....after ice cream it's bed time for everyone! :)
