:sunny: Good Morning All!! :sunny:

How is everyone? Between puppy patrol, DD17 and her traumas, getting DD20 ready for Spain and planning our trips time is getting away from me. Here it is summer - not working - should be BORED and the days are flying by :rotfl:

Cody the 3lb wonder dog :rotfl: thinks nothing of chasing and barking after our 12lb cat :rotfl2: He doesn't realize that the cat could eat him for a snack. What do both cats do? RUN AND HIDE!! He just went down the hallway after the cat - thought he cornered the cat got so excited he peed.........ah yes the joys of puppyhood.

DD20 is leaving for Spain on July 1st for 6 weeks - She will be near Madrid completing her minor in Spanish. We will be going to visit for a few days in August. Just trying to get her ready YIKES!!

DD17 - ah yes - what can I say but the saga continues. DH and I went to see the therapist alone. We are going to take a more nonconfrontational approach because everything seems to be a power struggle. Don't know the status of the ex boyfriend. She hasn't brought him up and neither have we.

Therapist also told me that I need to start taking care of myself. Worn down - duh :rotfl2:

So with that said little by little will start taking my life back. Going to the doctor today - he will not be happy with my weight. That will probably be the kick in the pants I need.

Walking tonight with friends - what a great way for stress relief :cool1:

Read everyone's posts - And you guys are doing GREAT!! Don't dwell on the minor setbacks!! Just Keep Moving Forward and DOWNWARD!! :Pinkbounc

Gotta go - puppy on the move AGAIN :rotfl2:

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda

Well, I'm ready to face my new day! I have to take another co-worker out to lunch for his birthday, but I have a plan! He loves Chinese food, so I'm sticking to low points beef w/broccoli and filling brown rice.

I also took a quick break this morning and walked for 15 minutes. I cleared my mind of work (I've been here since 7:30 EST), and just focused on what I need to do today to stay on track with getting healthy. O.k., I also had a few thoughts about our upcoming trip :cool1:, but it was a good mental break.

Here's looking forward to a great healthy day for everyone!

Good Morning losers!! :wave2: How is everybody? Ready for a new day? :sunny: Water, good HEALTHY FOODS, movement!

I didn't get on the TM last night due to a big storm complete with lightening. Ugh! Will these storms ever stop? :earseek:

Linda, puppy duty sounds like an exercise by itself! :rotfl: I hope your DD has a great time in Spain!

Worfiedoodles, today is a new day...clean slate...make the most of it!! :Pinkbounc You can do it!

Tara, Tara, Tara...I know my eyes need to be checked but I could have sworn your post said ICE CREAM, CHOCOLATE CHIPS, and CHEETOS :earseek: What?? Must have been a typo! :grouphug: WTG on the exercise!

NYcpa, I wish I could get some of your exercise discipline. :bounce: Good luck with the food plan today!!

Okay gang, let's boogie and get some poundage off of us!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi all!

Ok, weighed in this morning after a VERY bad week for me. Had chinese food, pizza and some other not so nice things and still ended up losing .3 lbs. Ok not good, but at least i did not gain right? Mini goal this week is to stay on program all week without using any flex points and exercise 5 out of 7 days. I did lose 3 lbs the week before, so I am doing ok. I noticed I definitely lose more when I don;t eat after 5-6pm but that is still the most challanging part of the day for me. Still plugging along!! GO GO GO Everyone! WE CAN DO IT! If I squint my eyes really hard I can see 150! :goodvibes

Hello Fellow Losers!!!

Well my WI was as expected. I gained .6 because TOM arrived 3 days early :confused3 I'm okay with it since I know that plus more will be gone by the end of the week. I'm currenly at 151, so I KNOW I will see the 140's next week.

Everyone keep up the GREAT work!!!

Happy Afternoon everyone!

Well, I did o.k. for a Chinese food lunch -- 1/2 a spring roll, lemon pepper shrimp w/brown rice (fewer calories than beef w/broccoli, who knew?!), and 1/4 of a fortune cookie.

We ended up going to Coldstone Creamery, but I got the smallest sinless lemon sorbet, so at least I made the best choice I could.

I have to weigh in tonight. As of next week, I vow to be firmly in charge of the scale. I have stayed off my scale at home for a few days, so I don't get depressed by gaining and losing from morning to evening.

I am really going to do my best to have a great weigh in next week, which means no pigout as usual after I weigh in tonight! Does anyone else do that?! I know I shouldn't, it's just this weird reaction that I want to stuff myself after I go through the agony of the scale... Anyway, my new week is going to start when I leave the WW meeting, instead of tomorrow morning. I think that mental shift will help me.

Good luck to everyone getting through a long, hot afternoon...!

Hi all, some of you with your excerise are true inspirations! I have always wanted to be athletic and strong but I have never been able to accomplish that. Weigh in last night showed a loss of .5 lb. Not great but definately could be worse! I was very good all week except for Father's day lunch when I ate a bit more chips and dips than I should have. Plus the brownie. On the positive side, I haven't touched the brownies since and have left them to my family to finish.

Worfiedoodles, I do the same thing with eating off program after weigh in. I just did it last night. I had my planned meal and then made some "additions" to it. It has been a struggle for me for a very long time. The only time I didn't do it was when I was on the PRISM program and didn't weigh for 6 weeks.

Back on track today and with a clear week ahead (just work, no special events), everything should be great. I need to get on that treadmill. It is more than just a decoration for my corner! Have a good week! :cheer2:

Today was a somewhat better for food choices except for the afternoon snack. Breakfast -corn muffin; Lunch - ham on rye w/ mustard, onion and tomato, diet sierra mist; Snack - last 3 Take 5 candy bars (NO MORE TEMPTATION); Supper - garden salad w/chicken and lite italian dressing, diet pepsi and string cheese.

Went to the fitness center immediately after work and did 48 on the treadmill using the random program. I set the speed to 3.2 and ended up using level 4 for the incline changes. The speed seemed too slow so I increased it to 3.5 but had to back it off after 20 min as my right shin started hurting.

Worfiedoodles - Coldstone creamery can be my downfall also. i don't go the healthy route, I usually the middle size with chocolate ice cream and marshmallows and double almonds for a mix in. :guilty::guilty: I stay away from the place when I am by myself. Both like it so we sometime opt to use it for our supper. Not the most nutritious but it tastes good.

Everyone - keep up the exercise, healthy eating and drinking your water. Your goals are acheivable with the support of this great group.

ONward and DOWNward :Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc

We had a great time this past weekend. The weather was great, and the campground kept us busy. I did great with exercise and ok with my eating. Everyday we did 2-3, 15 min. bike rides; 2-20 min. walks and not the mention the constant walking or biking where ever else we wanted to go. I told DH if he would just win the Lotto, I would be at my goal weight in no time, with all the exercise we get when we camp.

I am still behind in reading all of the posts, but it looks like everyone is making good progress.

Morning All!! :sunny:

Ok so I got in trouble with my doctor yesterday for not paying better attention to myself and my body (knew that was going to happen) :rotfl:

Got out of weighing myself there WOO WEE!! How did that happen - you ask? Both DD17 and I had appts - they took her first - I went in the room with her because this was first visit to the osteopath and then they just continued with me. I evaded the BIG BAD SCALE :rotfl: Ok OK - I know I am suppose to meet my fears head on..........I didn't I ran like a scared baby :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So seriously I was lectured on about the stress in my back and neck - also that I need to go back to me. Is that the kick in the pants I need? Hope so :cheer2:

Today I am going to work on walking, drinking my water and not eating after 7:30pm. What are you going to do?

Regina - Sounds like a "moving" time :Pinkbounc

Kathy - You have become an exercise GODDESS!! Have TOM right now so fighting the urge to just curl up on the couch and veg

Worfiedoodles - Lemon shrimp with brown rice sounds YUMMY!! Keep shifting mentally towards the DOWNWARD!!

Sthronds - How did the treadmill feel? I also need to do that TODAY!! :bounce:

Tera - TOM is evil!! Next week will be better!!

Team - LET'S KEEP MOVING!!! :Pinkbounc  Don't let the scale win!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Patsfan7...how did I miss you??? I need to go back a few posts and see your intro...WELCOME!!!!! I somehow missed the whole discussion on actresses zombie walking in bikinis! I don't think that would inspire me to wear a bikini! :) Glad you joined us!!!

Worfiedoodles..let those quick 15 minute walks take you right into a great and active summer...it always starts with creating a habit...my body much prefers the walks to the days where french fries cross these lips! :) You're head is on strong and YOU WILL make it to your goal with that glorious attitude and discipline while taking coworkers out!

Linda!! I knew your dog was a cutie but I didn't realize he was only 3 pounds! Okay, I switch gears..he'll never be big enough to take long walks with you..his poor little legs will tire out...so now you're just gonna have to carry him as a 3 lb weight and switch him as you do your long walks! And, oooh Spain!! HOW COOL IS THAT??? Those daughters should be keeping you soo busy that you'll have to shed some butter sticks! :)

Carrieberry!!! WOW!!! .3 pounds is a LOSS!!!! I'm trying to make the next 16 weeks losses...and if it's just .1 pound it's a WINNING WEEK!!! So celebrate that loss!! With the not so hot eating that means your body must be shaping into an efficient machine!!! :) Keep up the great work!!!

Tera!!!! OH NO!!! IS this the last week you'll be in the 150's???? We've only had you for such a short time!!! :) I'm SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: You'll be one of the first ones I SCREAM to when I finally see 150's!!! :) Stay strong this week... TOM will be gone by next week and you'll WHOOSH!!! :)

Sthronds!! .5 is GREAT!!! It's a LOSS!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Now that treadmill is giving you a great big grin and begging you to come play!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! Start a habit of 20 minutes a day and you'll be amazed how great you feel! And the scale will be moving swiftly!

Kathy...you ate well AND you exercised...what are you trying to do to yourself? Lose weight???? YES!!!! You've inspired me...I just finished my 4 mile walk and my new neighbor has legs the speed of a rabbit...I know I'll have shin splints but it felt good to get everything pumping...tomorrow is weigh in for me and I know I can manage atleast a pound even with all those bad threes I mentioned yesterday! :) Let's kick it!!!

Regina!! WELCOME BACK!!! WE MISSED YOU!!! Great job on a wonderfu camping outing...you ROCK :teeth:

Keep up the great work...we're officially in summer...let's use these 12-13 weeks to greet Fall in a new pant size!

Tara

Just got back from our wonderful trip to WDW and Disney's Vero Beach resort! What a great trip!

As I predicted, I am no longer in the 150's, but I will be again soon! I gained 4 pounds, and they were deserved! I had a great time. Now I am off to the grocery store to buy some healthy food and get back on my food plan. I have 9 months before our next Disney trip and by then I want to be at my goal weight!

Sorry, I haven't read through all of the posts. I am still tired and have a ton of laundry to do. Also, the kids are out of school now so it is harder to find quiet time to read the computer, but I will be reading from here.

Hope everyone is doing fine!
DJ

WELCOME BACK DJ!!!! 4 pounds is really broken down into 2 categories...2 pounds of muscle that will burn 10 more calories per hour than you use to burn...and 2 pounds of water from eating higher sodium and/or fat laced foods...so oila..in less than 143 hours you should have mastered those pounds and said goodbye to them! :) Atleast, that's how I like to look at it! :) Hope you're doing a trip report! :)

Tara

Thanks Tara! I was prepared for the weight gain, and I am ready to get back to losing.

As for a trip report, well......let's see:

Thursday we arrived and checked in at 10:00 pm at CBR (our plane was delayed 2 hours due to storms in Orlando, so we basically checked in and went to bed).

Friday we went to TL for the first time. It was very nice! We did the new water roller coaster (Crush & Gusher) and it was great! Basically we went there first thing so the lines hadn't started getting long yet and we just walked and walked and walked up those stairs to get to the top. NOW here is what is SO neat.....I did it!!!! I actually walked up those stairs 3 times one right after the other with my family! Now I was little tired, BUT I had 44 less pounds that I was dragging up those stairs. All I could think of was that if I had done this in December (our last time at Disney), I would have went up once and then waited for the rest of my family to go the other two times. It was great to be able to join in!!!

It got busy at TL by 11:00 am (which I wasn't surprised because I was warned about this on the Theme Parks and Attractions Board). We we left after lunch.

That night we ate at Chef Mickeys for the first time. It was VERY good. If my twin DDs weren't turning 12 (meaning they will have to pay adult rates on our next trip for buffets) we would go again.

Saturday we moved to Boardwalk (I don't remember if I mentioned this, but we did resort hopping this time, so we moved pretty much every day to try out different resorts). We took out the water mice at the Beach Club marina that morning. It was FUN! I had never tried one of these before and I was a bit nervous, but we had a blast! We went down to MGM and took pictures from the water before we returned. Once the girls are 12 they can drive one themselves and they really want to do it again next year so they can drive!

After boating we went to DTD. We ate at the RFC (a tradition for us) and then we went into the new Goofy Candy Co. store. NOW what I LOVED was they have bags that you can fill up with Jelly Belly Jelly Beans and pay by the weight. I LOVED those jelly beans, so I got a bag and put in my different favorite jelly beans and when it weighed in, I only had 1/8th of a pound! I even ended up sharing them with my family, so I felt like I got to indulge without really going overboard.

After doing some shopping at the big Disney store at DTD we went back to Boardwalk for some swim time (that is one cool waterslide at Boardwalk!).

That night I went to the "Dis Board Project X Illuminations Dessert Buffet Party". This was something organized by WebmasterPenny and it was great! We had a wonderful location, the weather was great and the desserts were fabulous!

Sunday we went and checked in at OKW. Our room wasn't ready yet, but that was OK because we headed over to AK and was there before they opened the gates. We went straight to Dinoland and spend the morning there. Then we had lunch and spent some time in Africa. Around 2:00 our room at OKW was ready so we went back for some swim time. The new slide there is a winner in my kids' book!

That night we headed over to MK. It ended up raining on and off a lot, but we still had fun. They postponed the fireworks for 20 minutes, but we did get to see them before heading home.

Monday we packed up and went to breakfast at AKL. We went to Boma for the buffet. WOW! That was a great breakfast! Again, if the girls weren't turning 12, we would go again! After breakfast we went to Disney's Vero Beach resort. It was about a 2 hour drive, but it is a great place! We all want to go back. The kids swam and played minature golf, and then went to the beach for awhile. They didn't go any of the kids' programs because they didn't want to lose out on their swimming time. That night we went shopping at the Vero Beach mall before hitting the sack.

Tuesday our day to go home, but our flight wasn't until 8:00 pm, so we still had lots of time. The girls talked their dad into letting them swim again that morning. We packed up our bags and put them in the car and then took the girls to the pool. We were able to talk to some other DVC members sitting near us (that is always fun). Around noon we headed out and went to north to the Kennedy Space Center. WOW! We thought the afternoon would be enough time to see it, but it really is an all day thing. We didn't get to do nearly as much as we would have liked, but we did get to see quite a bit in the 3 1/2 hours we were there.

After that we headed to the airport and came home.

NOW I am going through Disney Depression. I always feel blue when we get back from our trips. We have vowed to cut back to once a year (we spent WAY too much money the past couple years on travel and we have to cut back). We are going to start making spring break our Disney Trip time, so we will be going in 9 months (March). Right now that sounds so far away.

Anyway, that is my trip report. We had a great time. Now we are back in reality and ready to get back on track to that new body!

Thanks for all the support everyone! This is a great group! I'm so glad I found you here on WISH!

Wow! Do you know what really stands out about your report? It's not where you ate or what you had, it's that you were on the go every single day. You were very active, you were having a wonderful time, and you could do things you couldn't before...

What a great inspiration you are to me!

Thanks for a great trip report!

I really did notice a BIG difference in energy. I will tell you something else I noticed. Before I was always grabbing the camera to take pictures of my family. That way, I wasn't in the picture myself. This time, one of my DDs wanted to take pictures and I actually let her! I didn't hide, stand behind someone and peek out. I was 'part of the family' in every way!

It is amazing how different you can feel. It is WORTH it. So everyone, stick to it! You will just LOVE all of your future Disney Vacations with your families in a way you never have before!

Good morning fellow 150ers. :wave::wave::wave:
It is a bright :sunny: day here on Long Island. I am going to dinner after work with the girls from the office to celebrate on of the supervisors 25th year of employment. We are going to an Italian restaurant so I probable will not eat as healthy as I have the rest of the week.

Yesterday was my best eating day so far this week. NO CANDYBARS :cool1::cool1: I even managed to take time out of working here in the hotel to get 30 min in on the elliptical. I took the time for myself and made it up by working later.

Off to work :moped:. Have a great day.

Eating out can be SO hard! A couple of weeks ago we went out for our anniversary and I asked for a take out box right from the start. Then I put half of my food in that before I took a bite. It worked well for that night anyway. I am TRYING to develop little habits like this, but I admit, I really would like to eat the whole thing! :rolleyes1

Congrats on the good day yesterday. Keep up the good work! Losing weight can be a long journey, but well worth it!

Morning All!!

DJ - Sounds like you had a GREAT ACTIVE time at WDW  Those 4 pounds will come off like that!! Bet the kids had a BLAST!!

Kathy - Enjoy your time with your co workers tonight. You have become such an exercise machine!! Woo Hoo......probably have a lot more energy also. ;)

Nothing really new hear. Went and saw Little Shop of Horrors last night - first time. Strange but cute!!

Still not doing the regular exercise thing. Can't bring myself to moving. Need to go motivate.........

Off to start drinking my water.

Everyone have a MOVING Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Remember her from the original Willie Wonka movie? She's the British little girl with the famous line, "Don't care how, I want it now!"

That's how I'm feeling today. I just want to lose one little pound. Just one, and I will be happy. I would prefer to lose it before noon, but I guess I can wait all day if I have to. LOL

I just can't seem to pull it all together. The painful and rapid onset of TOM this morning didn't help matters, either. Aaaaargh!

Just a little venting. I'm sure my optimism will return tomorrow :hourglass
