Mornin All!!

It is a chilly 20 degrees this morning :cold: We are only making it to 30 today and the normal high is 43..........better yet the low tonight is going to be 12 :cold: :cold: Leaving for Florida a week from tomorrow :cool1: Can't wait:)

Had a good day yesterday exercising. Total of 90 minutes split between 30 minute walking tape in the early am and 60 minutes at the fitness center. This am I overslept so was only able to do 20 minutes but going to the fitness center after work (dealing with 2nd graders for the rest of the week). Going to go swimming then a total body toning class. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Went out for dinner last night. Had sea scallops and asparagus with a small bowl of fried rice. Feel alittle bloated today so really pushing the water :drinking:

Won't dare go near the scale :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Kathy - So sorry to hear about your grandmother. 100 years old!! We should all be so lucky to have a long life like hers. Hope this day pass with many fond memories of her.

Tara - wow NYC!! This has really turned into an adventure for you and your sound :flower: Keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out for you.

Christie - I like what you said!! The pound is not lost but melted away!! Have to remember that - Thanks!! I need another 40 to melt away ;)

Regina - you sure have had some crazy  things happening to you and your family. Sending some pixie dust your way :wizard:

To the team - GET YOUR REAR IN GEAR!!!! (wow haven't heard that one in a awhile:) :jumping1:

Happy Tuesday!! Not that I am anywhere close to the 150's (7.5 pounds could take me 7 years :rotfl: ) but I have to ask..........can we still play together once we reach that goal? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:
Linda

Gooooood Morrrrning, Club 150!! :sunny: Hope it is a good day where you are!

Just wanted to send you some positive vibes :goodvibes for the day!!

:grouphug: :cheer2: :grouphug: :cheer2:

Goood Moorning Back to y'all!!!! The sun is shining...a strong wind came last night and they are even predicting snow! (It'll be the second time this winter...but likely won't happen) But my neighbor's fence was broken and that wind kept it knockin all night...woke up at 3:30 and still am awake! :) Coffee, anyone??????

I just caught up (I think!) on updating everyone's losses to date so far...please let me know if I'm inaccurate....and remember we're just charting till you get to 159...after that it's SMOOTH SAILING!!! And I plan to be here until EVERYONE gets to 150's!!! And I hope some of you passing through to the 140's and 130's will keep checking in to let us know how life is! :) Just keep in mind that WE WILL ALL be there!!! Just takes making good choices and moving our tushes!

When I read about the workouts...some of you are kicking it up!!! Seeing 1-2 hour workouts really gets me motivated! It's funny, I'll start with a 30 minute but I really don't mind doing an extra session of 20 minutes on aerobics....it's getting started that is hardest...but I haven't missed an Oprah Boot camp day yet...I think that's really going to help....I can already notice differences in my legs...where's that measuring tape!!!

Let's make Tuesday a GREAT choices day! And I'm striving for loads of water...but with lack of sleep I'll probably have to have a diet coke...I hate drinking those during TOM..seems to make cramps worse....ONWARDS & DOWNWARDS GANG!!! :)

Tara

Hi Everyone!!

Tara - We had the same thing this morning. Sun was coming out, blue skies to the west and after I walked out of my WW meeting, it was SNOWING :earseek: Gotta love Colorado

Well todays WI went pretty good... lost 1.6 pounds for a total of 42.8 and my weight is currently 165.2 pounds. That 159 is soooooo close :) Hoping to get down another 2.2 for next week to bring me to 45 pounds and then 159 will soon follow. Still shooting for that weight by the end of the month.

Hi! I hope everyone's day is going well so far. :flower:

Tara they are predicting snow for us tomorrow! It has been in the 70's or close to it for several days. It's crazy!! Congratulations on you Boot Camp success. No missed workouts is awesome!! :worship:

Tera Congratulations on your 1.6 loss. You are so close to the 150's. I am here cheering you on. :cheer2:

Tera!!!! YOU SHOULD BE SOOOO PROUD OF YOURSELF!!!! 1.6 is GREAT!!! And you're just 6 pounds away from 150's!!!! WOW!!! Tell us what it's like!!! What are the five things you notice the most (changes) from weighing 42+ pounds more? I bet your clothes look GREAT on you!!! You're soo close!!! We're pulling for you!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks Tara! I was pretty excited, but wish it was more  I think I'll be more excited when I get to that 161 number :cool1: :cool1:

Let's see... 5 things that I've noticed:

1) Down from a size 18 pants to a 12/14 (14's starting to get lose and 12's alittle tight still).

2) I can cross my legs more :earseek:

3) I've got more energy at the gym :Pinkbounc

4) My butt doesn't "jiggle" as much when I run/jog :teeth:

5) I have a WAY better selection of new clothes I can fit into now :sunny:

It's hard to believe I weigh 165 now when just 7 months ago, I was 208 pounds. Hopefully next week I will be celebrating my 45 pound loss :cool1:

The highest I have ever been is 212 at 17 years old, I went on Weight Watchers and lost over 50 lbs..but never quite made it to my goal. Then I got married, moved to Alaska, decided I was a bear and need to gain weight for the winter, and now I'm sitting at 181. I have been at weight watchers again for the last 8 weeks and have lost 14 lbs. I have been yoyoing alot and I really want to get focused and I think being a part of this group will do that for me. I can't wait to watch all of you reach your goals...here's to be a loser LOL!!!

Jen

You guys are such motivators!!! Thank you to all of you! :grouphug:

Mornin Sisters in Sweat!! :sunny:

Once again here we sit in March dealing with 20 degree weather and prediction of snow :cold: :rolleyes1

Had a pretty good day yesterday. A total of 80 minutes of exercise split between 20 mins in the am and 60 mins at the fitness center. Today I started with a 30 minute balance ball/stability ball DVD (whew that was harder than I thought). Will be back at the fitness center after school.

UGH - have a second grade class that do not know how to be quiet!! Have them through next Monday and one of us is not going to make it :rotfl2: :rotfl2: They were even chattering through a reading test!! I had to repeat all instructions at least 4 times............it is like someone stood out in the hallway put a quarter in them and directed them to me :rotfl:

On a down note I am in the process of getting my cold of the month. Have had one every month since December. First time in all the years of subbing. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......can't seem to avoid it.

Jen - Welcome to the "Losers Club"!! Always looking for new members. The most important thing I have learned is that this is a GREAT bunch of people who will be there for you every step of the way.

Tera - Way To Go Girl!! Will you be our leader into the 150's? I want to cross my legs toooooooooooooooooooo:):)

Too the team I pose this question - What are you going to do today to GET MOVING :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: ;)

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Linda

WOW-everyone is doing so great! Thanks for the motivation so far, and I have a good announcement. I've weighed myself the past 3 mornings and the scale said less than 200 each day! I'm at 199.6 this morning so I'm claiming my addt'l 1 pounds loss and an finally in ONEDERLAND! Yippee! I think that deserved a dancing banana!!! or 2!

I also have a question about how you picked your goal weight? I picked 140 because I always thought of myself as "too heavy" when I was 150-but that was more than 10 years ago now. I'm 5'7" tall. My gym trainer and nutrionist both think that I should really aim for 150. Their reasoning is that 10+ years ago I had never set foot in a gym and since I've been doing weight training and plan to continue that I may be a smaller size at 150 with lots of lean muscle than I would be at 140 and less lean muscle. They said since 1 lb of fat takes up more space than 1 lb of lean muscle I will be a smaller size. They both encouraged me ( more than once ) to re-think my goal weight so I don't get frustrated or feel that I didn't accomplish what I set out to do.

Just curious what you all think about that and how you decided a goal to set. I may be closer to my goal that I first imagined! :)

Hmm, are you sure you don't teach in Rochester, NY, LOL!!! Sounds exactly like my son's class! Everyday he comes home & says "Don't make me go back to school--those kids are lunatics!". Not so funny since he can be one of the talkers except he talks to himself, lol! hope your week gets better! :)

Karen - LOL!! This is why I love all you guys!! You make me laugh!!

I am just shy of 5"1" and when I got married I was 121lbs (26 years ago:). Currently I have a target weight of 128lbs. I don't know why I picked that number - just did. I figured as I was moving onward and downward I would get a feel for what my body wants and adjust accordingly. Didn't think to ask the trainer or my doctor. Guess I will the next time I see them.

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Linda

Karen~That is exactly why I have not really set my goal weight in stone. I am 5'8" and I am just not sure what a good goal weight is. My current goal is to get to 155 and then see what I need to do from there.

We have had a really rough week so far--but I have been able to keep on program with my eating. My DS 3 had a 2 1/2 hour long febrile seizure when he was 14 months old. He ended up being airlifted and in ICU, because they had to give him so much medicine they shut his little body down. He had a few more little seizures over the next 12 months, but I can not remember the last seizure he had. Well, Monday night I was holding DS 14 months and he started having a seizure. We still had the seizure meds from DS#1, and after 10 mins he did not stop, so we gave him the medicine. He still seized for the next 10 mins and we took him to the ER. Turns out he has pnemonia and an ear infection.

We also found out DS#1 is allergic to wheat, soooo all the whole wheat everything we have been eating around here had been making him miserable. The getting rid of all wheat products will be chaning our lifestyle.

I am caught up on my sleep and I will be doing 2 different exercise videos today and keep on with the eating right. I really think this will end up being a great week for me in the weight loss department.

Christy

Christy - Good thoughts and wishes are being sent your way!! Group hug!! Hang in there and just take it one day at a time.

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Linda

OMG Christy! Sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts your way..how scary!

If you need any help with allergy resources let me know. I have some food allergies and have tons of sites bookmarked.

I hope both of your DSs are feeling great soon! :goodvibes

Morning Divine Sisters of the Losers Club! :wave2:

Jen, welcome we will be watching YOU reach your goal! Keep us posted on your progress! You can do it! :cheer2:

Linda, you are very brave to go into a classroom full of 2nd graders they remind me of energizer bunnies!! LOL! :hyper2:

Can we have a drum roll please.....KAREN welcome to ONDERLAND! That's fantastic!!

Christy, :grouphug: and :wizard: Sorry to hear about your rough week here's hoping everything gets better soon.

Tera, You give me hope! One day crossing my legs won't be such a challenge!
:rotfl:

This will be a quiet week for me DD(17) is in Washington with the hs choir singing around town for the National Anthem project. Did you know that 65% of Americans don't know the words to the Star Spangled Banner? I was surprised, but then when we sang it at their concert last night they left off the line that says "play ball"!! :rolleyes1 Guess I'll have plenty of time to hop on the TM this week!!

Have a great day everybody!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Good Morning Everyone!!

Christy you and your family will be in my thoughts! I hope your week is only filled with many blessings!!

Being active today, well besides walking around campus I AM going to do an exercise video today. I have a really great high intensity WW Dvd I will probably do today!!

Thanks for making me feel so welcome everyone :wave2:

Jen

Welcome FLIPPERJC Jen!!!! :grouphug: You will get to the 150's BABY!!! You found a great group of such encouraging losers and we can make it down there together!!! Some weeks will be better than others but we're here to help make all of them better weeks! ;)

Linda!! Let's flush that ole nasty cold away with lots of water and some good nightly resting! We won't let it grab hold of you! And fresh fruits...albeit frozen fruit up in your area!!! :)

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Oh my oh my oh my!!!! A Onederland MEMBER!!! We LOVE welovedis!!!! That is GREAT!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Isn't it Onederful??? Isn't it GRAND to be below that 2 number??? Your hard work and right choices got you there...can't wait to see where they take you next!!! :)
I'm in the same boat with you as goal weight....I'm 5'7 and 3/4" I claim 5'8 in my shoes! :) But 10 years of this added weight on will have an impact on how I look at those weights...and the extra muscle may make me look thinner at a heavier weight...that's why I needed this club! I'm going to enjoy going through the 150's trying to feel it out...if I end up at 145...then that's great, too...I just have two pairs of pants hanging in my closet (one a 10 and one a roomy 8) that I want to fit nicely into...I'll let you know what number on the scale that is when I get there! :) As soon as I get those pants on..I'm at GOAL!!! So go buy yourself a GOAL outfit...when you fit in it the way you want it to fit...you're there!!! :)

Christy!!! :grouphug: I am praying for you and your sons...it's so hard to be a mom when that happens...we want to make it better immediately...I'll pray for quick healing...you take care of yourself!

Tiggerkeeper!! You must be SOO proud of DD!! I think that's wonderful...what a great experience for her! And I have to admit....I used to have trouble saying the song...I can sing it no problem with others while they're singing it but if you ask me to sing it on my own I change up the verses somehow! :confused3 But I love trying to hit those high notes..it drives my kids crazy! :)

Jen (Flipper) walking around campus is GREAT!!! I didn't have a car in college and I was very similar to you...my senior year in high school I weighed 212...by my sophmore year of college I was 135! I drank lots of water...ate veggies and a roll at the commisary and walked my tail off! :) I kept it off for 10 years before having my first child...ooh..pregnancies were bad for me! :) Love the end result but the blooming was much more than I expected! :)

Now I have GREAT motivation...I just got a discounted room for our stay in May...we can only go if we sell our house...so SELL HOUSE SELL!! But knowing that I'll be in a swimsuit in 9 weeks is going to keep me STRONG!!! :) Last trip to Disney for a very long time...we're doing YC as a splurge so I hope it's nice...would have loved GF..but the rates weren't low enough.

ONWARDS & DOWNWARDS TEAM!!!
Tara
