150 Club...care to join???

Boy, we sure have gotten quiet lately haven't we. I am guilty of it too. I just haven't been able to stay on program and I won't even get on the scales right now because I know I have gained so much that I don't want to see.

We leave on Sunday for WDW, and when we get home I plan to get back on program again.

Did everyone have a good holiday weekend? It was VERY HOT here and our pool club had problems and they had to close down, so the kids didn't get to swim! Bummer!

I walked 2 miles yesterday with DH. Now that the weather is warm again, I am hoping to start up my walking along with healthy eating again (once vacation is over) and get back to where I was when I was at goal.

It's crunch time-exam week! I've also been working up a storm.

Eating hasn't been the best either...but it's mucho better than before :)
 
OK, today I faced the music. I don't know WHY I would do this just 4 days from leaving for Disney, but for some reason I needed to do this.

I got on the scale and I am up 15 pounds from January 1st!

So it is time to get back on track. Of course, next week I will not be doing well, but maybe I an keep things in check and no gain.

This is depressing!

One of my DD is going to try to lose weight with me this summer (the other DD is too skinny and could use a couple of pounds--UGH!).

Come on everyone! I need you guys! We can all make this summer a good one!

Good Morning!!

The LOST ONE :wave: has returned!! After a few beyond crazy months I finally can say that I am RECLAIMING my life and working towards a healthier me!! :teeth:

I got on the scale this morning and I am at 179 which is more than I have ever weighed in my life :bitelip: So that is going to change!!

Where have I been? Well up until 2 weeks ago I was working 3 part time jobs.....crazy I am :crazy: Currently I am at 2 jobs for the summer :banana:

Last week I moved dd21 (graduated from IU at the beginning of May) down to WDW for the college program!!! She is at Traditions as I am writing this. She is living with 5 other girls in a HUGE 3 bedroom/3 bathroom apt. about 5 - 10 minutes from WDW. She starts on site training on Sunday at Epcot - JOURNEY INTO IMAGINATION - FIGMENT :bounce: :bounce: You don't know my dd but this is fate - she has been consumed by Figment since she was 4 yrs old and kills her when people think he is Puff the Magic Dragon or Elliott from Pete's Dragon (Even the CM that interviewed her initially didn't know who Figment was). She said when the CM told her the assignment she busted out laughing and tried to explain to the CM why she was so happy. This is FATE for her - she was meant to be there now. Going back in August to visit:):)

DD18 is graduating high school on Sunday - whew - taking her to freshman orientation for college on Tuesday. Always something.

My fridge is filled with fruits and veggies and I dug out the pedometer.......now that my girls are set (for the most part) I am back to ME ME ME!!! :yay: :yay:

Have missed talking to everyone and will be making this a habit again........

Jen- Good Luck with exams!! How is the job and snacking going?

Debra - Let's stop the madness together!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: We can do this.........you worked way to hard to get where you wanted to be.......come on stay focused!!! I have faith in you and now you need to have faith in you!!! When you are at WDW stop by Figment and look for DD - Melissa - petite with blonde hair. Tell her you know me from the Disboards. She will be thrilled to meet you.

WELCOME BACK Linda!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Anytime someone returns from Disney it brings good memories to all of us I bet! :) Ahhh...the rides, the smells, the scenery! :) Glad you had a good trip...everyone look for her dd at Figment if you go this summer! :)

Alright gang!!! :banana: You ready to kick ourselves into SUMMER???? I just emailed over 60 150'ers in hopes of having some of the gang join a summer challenge...if you can't commit to a weekly weigh in..please just come on in and find some encouragment! But starting next Monday I will have a roll call sheet that I will update each Monday with starting weights (for those who are brave enough) and weekly losses (color coded of course for effect :teeth: )...so each week you can see your name and progress in headlights! :) And receive all the tips and pats or pushes on the back to keep exercise and good eating a goal to get you to the 150's....Debra and Tera have done a GREAT job getting to the 150's and staying below or in there...we've had some more sneak in that I think I've forgotten to add to the first page...but make me aware of where you are so I can praise your hard work appropriately! :)

Let's get it going and by the end of summer September 22...let's see some numbers MOOOOOOOVE! :) I'm excited!!! I'm ready!!! Are y'all ready to have a hoppin summer?????

Hi Everyone!

I tried posting yesterday afternoon, but the server was too busy. Just too much traffic from all the DIS folk! I'm glad this is such an active Board, and Thread.

So, I'm with Tara! Let's get those numbers moving! Unfortunately, mine either move a tiny bit each way, or hover. But I have a plan! I've been steadily increasing my TM workouts by 2 miles a week. I started at 10, and this week I'm up to 18. I also started eating a modified South Beach diet, and I have dh onboard to make low carb meals all next week! TOM is over for awhile, so I'm fresh out of excuses. :rotfl:

Tara -- Thanks for sending out the summer challenge. I'm with you all the way! :cool1:

Linda -- It's so good to have you back! Drink up that delicious water! :drinking:

Debra -- You did it once, and you can do it again! By Fall, you will be back at goal. We're all in this together, and this time we're going to keep our heads in the game! :Pinkbounc (Can you tell ds only wants to watch High School Musical over and over and over?!)

O.k., gang, so here's my eating plan:

B: scrambled eggs w/cheese
S: low carb yogurt
L: South Beach frozen dinner, sugar free jello
S: 1.5 oz nuts
D: baked chicken & 2 veggies to be named later (no potatoes or corn!)
S: blueberries w/light Cool Whip

I'm back on the TM today -- my goal is 85 minutes, and about 5 miles.

We can do this!

LOL! Even I love High School Musical! My kids are into it too! How funny!

Linda: That would be so cool to see your DD! And I love Figment. I know it isn't the most popular ride, but I really like it! I don't like the Honey, I Shrunk The Audience right next to it, but I go over there for Figment!

Tara: I'm in! Weekly weigh ins are a good way to keep motivation up and to have a goal to work towards.

Well, here I go again, I think I need to make this my home page. I'm in for the summer challange. I NEED to be held accountable. I also start doing the morning hours at the gym starting June 20th, so there will be no excuse for me not to do something. My DD Ellissa bought an IPOD with her paper route money, so I am using it to listen to Disney podcasts. That's my plan ladies, now I just need your help sticking to it.

Where do you get the Disney podcasts? It would be nice to have something interesting to listen to while I walk (and I do plan to start my walking back up--right now, I am just doing my nightly walks with DH, but I need to do more than that when I get back from WDW).

Debra,

I download them from Itunes. The best part is, is they are Free. Just go to Itunes and do a search under the podcasts for Disney World. I was amazed at all of them. I have a few of them, so feasibly I can walk for 3 hours and listen to nothing but info about Disney.

Welcome! And just jump right in. We chat through this thread, and Tara is getting us started on a Weigh In program for the summer if you are interested in doing that, or just join in on the conversation!

Some of us have been here a long time (over a year for me) and others are new as well.

It is just nice to have a group of friends going on this journey with you.

Oh, btw, I am a stay at home mom of twin 12 year old girls and I absolutely LOVE all things Disney!

How do you keep track of the weight and what programs are you all using to help get you started??
 
I would like to join too....

I am a SAHM of two princesses ages 5 & 10. I started WW on February 3rd 2006 weighing in at 208lbs. I now weigh 176.6, and my WW goal is 145lbs. I would also love to be part of a summer weigh-in.

WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
 
Is this where I can add a challenge to myself????

If so, I have challenged myself to walk our entire subdivision everyday for a week. I need to get myself out there and walking - I eat well, and dont binge (at least MOST of the time :rotfl2: ) so walking should help with the weight loss.

I am (gulp) at the 200 lb mark and I wanted to lose about 60 lbs. Here we go!

I go to the meetings...I tried online, but it seems like going to the meetings makes me more accountable for my weight. I am not saying WW online doesn't work, but for me personally going to meetings workd better!! :)
 
Today has not been good eating wise. I had some chips (they make me sick now, though, so not that many) so am not feeling the best.

I am starting afresh for dinner!

LOL--It has been hot here in West Michigan. I cheated and walked around Meijers yesterday because of the heat. Ours is very large, and it takes over 45 minutes to go up and down all the isles. Today the dog was more aggressive to go out, so with it 18 degrees cooler today than yesterday, it's ok to go out!

Thats the hard part here too - its been so bloody hot outside, that I hate to walk, even WITH a puppy in tow!

Thankfully its cooling down a bit (its going to be 78 today) and I will be able to get in a walk when I get back from taking one of my kids to therapy.
