Good Evening!
I hope everyone had a great day, no matter what your weather was like. Dona kept sending that rain north to me, so we've had a slow, soaking rain. I'm sure it was great for all the growing things. My backyard is starting to resemble The Jungle Book, however...
No workouts this weekend. I had good intentions...I did keep busy doing things, though. We took ds to the New England Aquarium Saturday morning, and today I got to attend my very bf's endless birthday party for her ds. Now I'm getting ready for tomorrow and launching the family into next week.
I worked like a little bee cleaning out my closet Friday night. I got rid of everything too small, too big, too ugly, too old, etc., plus a pile of empty boxes (why did I save those?!), canvas bags, etc. It looks like a different space now. I also have two big boxes for the Salvation Army, so that's always good. I did two dresser drawers, as well. Workout bras from 1995 have lost their ability to do their job, and it was time to acknowledge that! It's great to see what I have, so I can figure out what I actually need, instead of the random buying I usually engage in.
Anyway, I guess you could call that some form of exercise...
We have a menu for dinner next week, and I'm going to put together a workout plan. It looks like I'm good for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I will be very happy with three workouts this week.
Dona -- I totally get the long birthday party syndrome! My bf has these unbelievably long parties for her kids, and they're not that old! When her dd turned 3, we had been there for 2 hours before she even considered the pinata, cake or presents. We left, but she proceeded to take three hours to get through everything else. I can't do 5-hour birthday parties!
Kathy -- I sure hope that nerve block gave you some relief. I know you have had chronic pain for so long, feeling good would be amazing. Just take everything slow and steady.
Sally'smom -- It's great to reinvent your attitude! If you can find something fresh to get excited about, it makes everything, especially weight loss, easier.
Tara -- You are going to feel so good and look great for your September vacation! Just watch out for the Cadbury roses...
Debra -- That feeling of being full just feels right, doesn't it? I struggle with that. But knowing when you are full, which you clearly do, is also an incredible skill you have to counteract the impulse to eat too much. I predict you will be back to your goal in no time!
Binkyboots -- I think you have such wonderful areas to walk, it must be fantastic! I am a huge fan of a mystery series with a village policeman set in Scotland -- it sounds so lush during summer, and so starkly beautiful in the winter.
Kim, Linda, Jen, Tracy and everyone else -- let's get ready to be moving in May! I plan to use this week to move whenever I can, so next month I reinvent it as my new habit!
Enjoy the beautiful sunshine (assuming you have some)!
