Hi Everyone!

One more post before the weekend...it sounds like some of you are having a rough time, with lots going on. I don't have that excuse, but I am slowly getting it back together.

I was back on the TM for a run yesterday evening, and although it was not fun or comfortable, it felt good to be running. I'm hoping it will get better as I get back into my routine.

We won't be eating takeout, so that should help with my intake this weekend. Since we're braced for a big storm, we'll be making our meals at home. I'm going to get on the exercise bike later this afternoon, TM tomorrow, and rest on Sunday.

Kelly -- I'm sorry you are going through so much right now. Your St. Patrick's Day meal sounds like fun, much better than the corned beef and cabbage I don't enjoy. I know you are very worried about your uncle. You are doing the right thing, taking care of yourself to avoid scary situations as much as possible.

Wendy -- It sounds like you are super busy with your mouseketeers. I hope you are able to get your results quickly, and you'll be able to make an eating/living plan he can be happy with.

Dona -- I hope your conference went well, and you are able to relax and enjoy the dinner. It sounds like you are feeling great, and ready to tackle whatever comes your way! :thumbsup2

Michelle, Tara, Rosie, Jen, kkcmom, Nikki, Kathy, Melissa and Linda -- I hope you are ready for a wonderful weekend, and I can't wait to catch up with you next week! :grouphug:

Let's move onward and downward!
Maria

Hi my name is Natasha and I want to join the 150 club, I started dieting/exerciseing about 1 week ago and first weighed myself at 294.5 I am now 286. I am slowly trying to get to 150. I need all the support I can get! I have pretty much been trying to cut back calories and start exercising boy is it hard! but im still doing it!

Hello Natasha! So glad to see you! This thread, and all the others, are great for support and virtual hugs. I was once at 253, and now at 209. I feel great, and enjoy interacting with other WISHers. Good luck!

Maria, thank you so much for the hug, I really needed it, and yes, I am anxiously waiting so that we can get on track and get healthier. DS has always been 'health' challenged. I worry, but please, don't tell him that! He will use it against me! :goodvibes

Kelly--sending best wishes for you Uncle. And, the green dinner doesn't sound so strange. We just do the corned beef and cabbage. Maybe I will add some food coloring to the pot?

To everyone, sending great thoughts, and best wishes. I am so excited with the warmer weather so that Sydney the aussie and I are able to walk outside. I know she is more excited than I am! It has been a long winter for her.

Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone! :shamrock:

Wendy

Welcome to all the amazing new members!!!!

Tri-M is a band and choir society thing that you can only get in with some good recommendations and good answers to your questions when they talk to you. It's pretty cool, actually-we're all good at what we do and we support the arts by seeing musicals/plays/concerts and doing stuff for the arts in our schools!

Michelle-I didn't like US history last year. World history is much more my thing (except the plague...EW!)

TARA!!!! Welcome back-missed you! You are going to do this and do it in style! WISHing you success and sending hugs!

All else-let's keep on moving and losing!

I didn't have the eating week I imagined. Between tests and tech week (and TOM who came last night!!!! :(), and the amazing cast dinners, I was able to LOSE 2 POUNDS!!!! YES!! That officially makes me at 10 pounds down now! I couldn't even believe it!

Our musical went pretty well last night. They laughed at all the right parts and they were pretty good. Except there's a somewhat shaky platform we have to cross to get on and off stage. In the first scene of the second act we have to get off stage in total darkness. I put my toes under the platform (because I couldn't see) and stepped right on top!!! OUCH! Then the other girl beside me stepped on. DOUBLE OUCH! Then we both tripped over the thrones that are oh so close to the exit. It was fun though and I'll miss it when it's gone.

Daily Queen (my summer job of serving ice cream) opens next week!! I'm telling myself that if I can have one baby cup of sherbet a week, then I can have Cold Stone on the weekends.

Hi All!

I am down to 20.2 pounds lost! I am very excited, but eager for it to go even further. I feel like I have just SO MUCH to lose that it is going slower than ever. I am loving my Jenny Craig meals. I had chicken fettucine tonight. It was SO good. MY JC consultant wants me to have a meal on my own once and awhile now (1-2 times a week). I did that today and had Saladworks. They have this *OUTSTANDING* fat free Caesar dressing. I just can't get enough of it.

I hope everyone is enjoying some corned beef and cabbage this weekend!

Oh Man I hate Spring Break!!! I've been on child duty all week, having all three of them home all week has been stressful to say the least. I didn't get to the gym because I can't afford daycare costs for all three of them. Good news though, Nachito goes back to school tomorrow   Dance Banana Dance! I get to go to the gym as normal and I'm almost caught up with my late homework. I feel like tomorrow's a new day.

I have managed to lose 2 more pounds. I'm at 175 this morning! It's all because DS gave me a stomach bug :lmao: I hope it lasts, I would love to see 169 someday soon.

Welcome, Greetings, and Congrats to all, see you tomorrow (hopefully).

Well the play is all wrapped up now that the play dinner was last night. It was fun But the DJ was much too loud. I will miss some of the senior parents who I have worked with for the last few years but I will be there next year.

I hardly slept last night and then I slept through the alarm so I didn't get to work out thismorning. As ds and I were driving home from the play dinner I asked him about who he was asking to the junior prom. I knew he who he was asking but I didn't know when. He told me this girl couldn't go and he said that she couldn't go since her family always does the MS bike tour and if she doesn't do the MS 170 with her dad he will have no to ride with him. I feel bad for my son because I think the 2 of them have been getting closer but have never been on a real date and this would have been the first. I hope he does ask someone.

Have to go and teach. WOrk always gets in the way.

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and is ready to tackle this week!

I'm still trying to get back on track with working out. The storm threw me for a loop, my house didn't empty out like it normally does, and I found myself being Mommy instead of making progress. But, there's nothing to stop me this week. I already told dh I plan to hit the TM the minute we get home, so there's no time to think about all the things I need to do.

My eating was better -- I didn't really snack at all, but I did have substantial meals. We restocked with fruits and veggies, so I'm bound to do better this week. I am getting close to my breaking point, where I can't just keep talking about it, I have to make some progress. I had to stop in at Macy's the other day, and I got a peek at all the great new Spring clothes. Needless to say, I want some, so I'm going to have to lose weight. I am not buying a larger size, I just refuse.

Dona -- Poor ds! After he worked up the nerve to ask her and everything! Maybe he can ask her to do something else, hopefully he'll realize she'd probably love to go out with him. You couldn't pay me to be a dating teenager again -- but I wouldn't mind having the energy! :tigger:

Michelle -- Congratulations on the weight loss, but I'm sorry you were ill! We have one more Spring vacation week to look forward to in April, then DS will be done until school's out in June. I am not looking forward to it. Even though he goes to camp during the day, he wants to stay up later at night, and I need him to go to bed!

Nikki -- You are doing fantastic! I am so proud of you for finding your magic bullet! :thumbsup2

Jen -- WooHoo! Great job, especially with everything you have going on! :cloud9:

Wendy -- You will see Onederland before you know it! You have made incredible progress, and you are a great role model! :wizard:

Natasha -- :welcome: We are thrilled to have you. You are already off to a wonderful start!

Now for the best news I've heard all day -- dh is going to pick up our new computer and take it work to load his system. Sometime this week I will be online again at home!

Have an awesome eating and exercise day!
Maria

As of now, I'm feeling a little achy but I missed that feeling. I'm also a little shaky-feeling but confident. The girls coming up have experience (gymnastics since they were 2, competitive cheer) out the ying-yang...but none of them can make a poster like I can! I already started on mine.

We started learning the dance today, and I like it so far. That being said, we learned the first fourth of it today! There's more but the advisor hasn't decided on an ending yet.

Tomorrow is busy-school blood drive, practice, yearbook stuff (oh that yearbook stuff!) and Cheer Parents Meeting.

B: 2 eggs, scrambled, with 3 slices Healthy Choice turkey
L: "pork fritter" and fries
S: Campbells Chicken and Stars soup at hand, 2 bananas, baby sherbet cup
D: Chicken McGrill, no mayo and Apple Dippers, no caramel

Hello ladies, how is everyone today? I'm staying home and being lazy all day because I was horribly sick last night and this morning. I did go to the gym yesterday and felt dehydrated and yucky so I'll just try to drink lots of water today. I'm just over halfway done with my history class. Unfortunately, I start some business computer classes next,:scared: I'm sure they won't be fun or easy. I just have to keep on keeping on.

Dona, I agree with Maria, you couldn't pay me to be teenager again!! Hopefully your DS and his girl can get together sometime. At least he had the nerve to ask her :thumbsup2

Maria, Congrats on the computer, finally. I just sent a new computer to DH in Korea. He had our old dinosaur and felt like he needed something more up to date. I don't know how you have gone this long without a computer, I would go crazy.

Jen, Good work on the weight loss and enjoy that achy feeling.

Michelle, I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick. We've been sick here, too. My ds, dd, and myself have this bad throat/cough/low grade fever thing. I forced myself to do 7 miles on my exercise bike on Monday but felt soooooo lousy afterward. I didn't exercise yesterday. I haven't been sleeping much at night because of this throat-thing, so I'm dragging to get through the day. Anyway, both kids seem to be on the mend. I hope that I'll be better soon. I'm going to take today off from exercising and want to get back in the swing of it tomorrow. I'm afraid I'll lose my very small grip onto the high 160s if I don't bike!

BJs had Lean Cuisines on sale so I bought a few packages to stock up for lunches. Deciding what to have for lunch was usually a struggle, and having those in the freezer makes it easier. Today I'm going to have a salad with leftover chicken on top.

Keep up the good work, everyone! Spring is here! : )

Hey! Where is everybody?! Are you lurking like me? TOM has me discouraged, so no weighing, eating poorly, and not much exercise with the piranha running around my middle.

Sigh. Ok, enough of the pity party. As soon as the computer returns to my house, I will be posting regularly, and I hope I will have some buddies to chat with!

Kelly and Michelle -- I hope everyone is feeling better!

Let's have a great day of moving and losing!
Maria

Hi All!

I am down to 20.2 pounds lost!

That is great. It seems once you are over the first 20 pounds, the rest is possible! You will reach your goal!

Hi all. Seems it has been quiet here. I was quite ill Mon and Tues, and Wed I wasn't able to get on the server the times I was home. Guess it was Spring Fever for the internet.

I hope everyone is feeling better, and that Maria, you have found computer nirvana at home! :goodvibes You never miss it until it is gone!

DS and DH just left to go to Parents day at Mich Tech for a college visit. It is a 10 hour drive, so they are going to stay at the Mackinaw brigde tonight and finish tomorrow. Their first appt isn't until 3:30 pm. Then all day Sat is wrapped up with being on campus. I think DH is more excited than DS, altho DS is very excited. both DH and I graduated from Mich Tech, in fact, that is where we met. So, we will see what happens. Still waiting to hear from blood tests from the allergist. If he does bee/wasp venom therapy I don't think DS will be leaving this year, he will have to go at the local community college until he has a year of shots under his belt. The local community college has a program that he takes what MTU tells him to take, and as long as he as a 2.0 it transfer as if he was at MTU. So there are options.

Well, DD just came in the door. She was at 'Girls on the Run'. This year she has orthotics, so the knee pain shouldn't be there.

Ciao for now!

Wendy

Hello everyone!

It's a beautiful day here in West Michigan! The Big Lake hasn't much ice, and it really didn't freeze except along the shoreline. Still not ready to jump into yet, not that I ever do! Too cold for me. I am a heated water gal.

Well, off to do whatever. DH and DS should be enjoying their campus tour! Hope the UP (upper pennisula) is warm for them, because the campus has lots of wind tunnels and such (something you wouldn't have thought to happen at an engineering school!).

Ciao and great losses to all this weekend!

Wendy

Oh. My. Gosh. I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in utter shock right now-JV!!!! I can't even believe it. I made a fuss-I was laughing so hard thinking it was a joke, then crying, then hugging and freaking out!!!

Sorry I haven't been on in a while-our internet has been screwy!

I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just noticed this thread and would LOVE to join. I am currently at 219. This is the most I have ever weighed & I can't stand another day of it!!! But, with patience and hard work I am hoping to get back to 150. Before I got pregnant last year I was at 165 and getting sooooo close to my goal. I know I can do it again, it's just going to take some time :)

Welcome Becky

Jen It's time to CELEBRATE!!!! CONGRATS:banana:            LET"S DANCE

Yeah Jen!

Congrats!
The great talent for cheer and poster making shines thru!
Great to 'see' you back!

Hello Becky! I know you will find the support that I have with the WISHers. The stories and people are very inspiring!

Off to do the laundry dance! :laundy:

Wendy

Congratulations, Jen! :cheer2:

Welcome, Becky!

I'm doing laundry now, too. :laundy:

Healthwise, the kids and I are getting better. I've started using my bike again--9 miles yesterday! :woohoo: And, I'm still clinging to the high 160s. I'd like to see that number go down, but I am glad it has not gone back up.

My uncle had his amputation. They cut off his leg right below the knee. We didn't see him as we live out-of-state, but my parents have been in to see him. He was moved to ICU because his oxygen intake is poor. We hope that he improves soon.

This is a busy weekend for us. I hope that you all have having a good weekend!

Hey there is it too late to join your little club. If not I would love to. I am also trying to get to the 150's. I started out at 240 and right now I'm sitting at 192 I was as low as 177 but I've had some set backs but now I'm getting back on track. I am doing LAWL and in 6 months I had lost 50 lbs plus 10 from just doing Curves. Anyways I've put on 15 pounds and I want to take it off plus another 35. We leave Feb 7th for our first trip to WDW and then a 3 day DCL. I must say congrats to those who have had success with the weightloss.
