Weighed in this morning at WW. Lost 2.2, now down to 166.6 for a total of 24.4. I'm hoping to hit the 25 lb. mark next week.

lovedvc-congrats!!! :cheer2:

Can you post what you've been doing? I tried finding your other posts back a number of pages but didn't see what I was looking for? Anything in particular that you think is helping you lose so consistenly?

Flexibility is key, right?! I'm showing it today. It's just too cold to walk home from the subway, so I'm waiting for dh to pick me up, and moving my long walk to late afternoon/early evening instead of, well, now. Plus, I didn't bring a lunch to work since I expected to be home, so I had to buy something. I got a cup of seven bean broth and had a bag of Lay's baked Doritos. I watched my co-worker eat this overstuffed tuna sandwich...but I'll be happy when I get on the scale, right?! :rotfl2:

Lovedvc -- Congratulations! You are doing great! :cloud9:

Karen -- you are doing very well. Dona had great advice for you. It takes a long time to recover, or even feel like life is anything like normal. Be patient and loving with yourself. :grouphug:

Linda -- you are getting there! Every journey starts with the first step. I'm going to watch Fever Pitch today. My list is full of romantic comedies, with a few adventures. I'm going to laugh and have fun on the TM. No sad movies allowed! :goodvibes

Kathy -- I am so proud of you! What a fantastic accomplishment! party: I'm trying to get mine back, but I'm not erasing it! I am drinking water like there's no tomorrow. I'm on bottle #3 today, so that's 48 oz. I'll get at least two more in, plus a nice large cup of hot tea.

Tara - I can't ever have Cheetos as a treat. Once I start, I eat the entire bag. I just love them. I long for the days of my youth when I would eat a bag with a bottle of Mountain Dew, topped off by Twizzlers. Those were the days. sigh.

Jen -- Hope you are feeling better today. Did you try Tara's Tea? :drinking1

Everyone else -- Let's do this! :cheer2:

Let's make lemonade out of those lemons!

Maria

Hi All,

Thank you NyCpa for the list, I'll have her take a look at it.
Great Job on earning the 10lb clippie. :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

So let me tell you...I went to the gym today. Just like welovdis, I was up at 4:30 and in the gym by 5:00. My personal trainer( I'm getting her services for free as I will be her walking advertisement)was in at 5:30. So we did 60 minutes of personal training. When I left, my legs were like JELLO. So all day, I can tell I used muscles that haven't been used or abused like that in a LLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG time. I have to go back to work at the gym in a few minutes, so I think I just do some abs and walk on the treadmill.

Well TOM has left and I'm down 5 lbs again. I just can't believe you actually put that much on. I have never really given much notice to it before, buy boy oh boy.

I have been successful at sticking with the no cheating challange and the closing the kitchen. Even last night at 9:00 when DD's and DH were eating popocorn in front of me I managed to resist the temptation.

welovdis, my children all think of Grandma, sitting in her rocking chair in heaven, with our old dog Shane, who we had to put to sleep. They just say she is their eating what she wants, petting shane and watching all the Lifetime television she wants. She was a diabetic, and even though she knew what to stay away from, she just couldn't do it. I finally gave up trying. I decided that it was better for her to die happy, than with me nagging her all the time while she was here. I was lucky that she had quit smoking for 2 years before she died. That subject I was not going to quit nagging her about. So anyway, maybe you could tell me to think about what she might be doing or telling him that she is doing her favorite thing. At least than he might feel better knowing she is happy.

Jen how are you feeling?

lovedvc great job on the weight loss. You will be down to 150 before you know it

Ok so I'm off to the gym now. I will have to do some stretching tonight, or I will be a hurten unit tomorrow.

Wowie kaboodles!!!

Digimom-Sick Tea is what Tara swears by. It involves hot tea, garlic, lemon, ginger and honey.

CONGRATS KATHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 Nice job :-D

Maria-No tea yet...I am definitely going to try it...I'm waiting to see how much garlic and ginger and honey I add...I want to err on the side of caution. And you did very well with your food choices.

In general here, this chickie is still swinging on the upswing. About 30% of my voice is back...and we have a game tomorrow...I am DESPERATE for that tea...

After school stuff is doing well. I have about 3 basketball games left. That makes me sad. I love cheering and basketball and the times spent together...but our team is going to the tournaments!!! :woohoo:

I should let you all know, Yearbook Is Not For Sissies!! It's a LOT of work and deadlines are rushing in. I've got it. It's just a lot of interviews and such...

Play is going well too!

Eating is alright. There's a part of me that I haven't tamed yet; when I was little I used to have so many different treats when I was sick like marshymellows and bread and juice. I so need to break free of that habit.

I have three tests tomorrow: a Practical (biology...microscopes and such), a Prueba, and an algebra test! I just made up a practice test for the bio so I'm waiting until I don't remember what I typed to take it. Very little homework tonight though.

Off to drink water and to attempt to make the tea...will be back!

Debra - If I can do 22 minutes so can you!!

Linda

OK, Linda, you inspired me (for today anyway :teeth: ). I just did 23 minutes on the treadmill (took me that long to do 1 mile).

I don't know about tomorrow, but I did it today.

I am not eating right. I seem to do good one day and mess up the next. So far, I am just staying the same. I had hope to lose some before my cruise, and I still have 6 weeks, so we will see. If nothing else, I HAVE to stay the same!

Debra

P.S. Maria: Did you watch LOST? Wasn't that freaky? I didn't see that one coming! They always seem to fool me! I guess that is one reason I like the show. You can't figure it out ahead of time.

Morning!!

LAST DAY OF THE ASSIGNMENT :cool1: :goodvibes :cool1: :goodvibes

Ok so who super glued the 1 and the 7 on the scale - 171!! UGH!! :crazy2: I am convinced this is an early April Fools joke and someone snuck in and super glued my scale :rotfl: :rotfl: Still working on it......... :faint:

Debra - Ok......you did one mile in 23 mins - I did it in 22 minutes. Here is the next goal. I have to do it in 21 minutes and you in 22 minutes or less. COME ON!!!! WE CAN DO THIS........WEEKEND GOAL!!! :cheer2:  Let's help each other out in baby steps.

Jen - How are you feeling? Hope the sickies  are GONE!!

Schatz - WAY TO GO with the personal trainer!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: Soon you will be slim and trimmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! What does the personal trainer like to work on with you?

Maria - GREAT choices for lunch!! You will be rewarded on the scale :thumbsup2 How did you like Fever Pitch? Dumb but cute:):)

welovedis - How are you doing? Think positive thoughts and remember the good times :grouphug:

Dvc - WOO HOO :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: nothng else needs to be said.....well it does. Do you work outside of the home? What do you eat for lunch on CORE.....struggling alittle with that.

I made a small cake for the kids in the room - I like the kids - it is the staff I have been struggling with. Will be easy to avoid the cake - my downfall is salt and crunch.........

Happy Friday!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

I DO!
I know you can do whatever you put your mind to!

Hey, Tara! BTW, whatever happened to that idea of having a 150 Club clippie? Did we give up?
Debra

P.S. Kids having a sleepover tonight. Never good for me food wise.....already went to the store this morning for junk food.....OH to be young again! ;)

Hey! I wrote to Digimon...I didn't hear back on the 3 I had put out there...and I liked the idea of having Mickey in the background because that's what brought us here together in the first place but I also really liked the glitter font that you brought so...I just asked her if she could glitter up the font of the "150's Club"...hope to hear soon if she's not too swamped with life right now.

Hopefully we'll have a clippie by the end of this week! :)

Off to start this day!!!! :)

Tara

Happy Friday!

Wow, we do have lots to celebrate! Yesterday I ended up not doing the long walk, just too tired when I got home. So, I'm switching with today, which was going to be a rest day. I rested yesterday, so today it's full speed ahead!

Today's eating -
B: oatmeal & raisins
S: banana
L: haddock & rice
D: baked shrimp, rice pilaf & dinner roll
S: hot tea and 1 chocolate

I'm still doing well with the water. No diet soda for me! This weekend is a danger zone, but I have a plan. DS is having a daytime pajama party Saturday with 3 family friends. We're having pizza, popcorn and candy for the kids, plus ice cream cake for his birthday. I'm getting Greek salad for the grownups, figuring I'll have one piece of cheese pizza with it. We should be in the kitchen w/the kids in the living room watching new dvds, so I think I can avoid the candy. I think it will be pretty cute. I got popcorn cups like you get from the theater at the party supply store, and small six-muffin tins. Each child will get a muffin tin with their own assortment of candy. That way everything will be equal, and they won't be fighting over anything. I'm also putting their initials on the muffin tins.

Sunday is dangerous because we are getting a Nor'easter. For those of you unfamiliar with it, this is a dumping of snow with high winds. We are expecting 9 inches, falling at an inch an hour from late Saturday afternoon into Sunday. This means dh will spend Sunday shovelling, and I will spend it inside, probably feeling a little trapped. I've already planned beef stew for dinner - gotta love that crockpot. I need to think about lunch. I should be fine with raisin bran for breakfast. I definitely want to have a nice walk on the TM, that will help me burn off some energy!

Tara -- Looking forward to a clippie, that will be great! And you can totally do as much walking as you need to. I know you can succeed at whatever you try. :cheer2:

Linda -- You must be so happy right about now. No more rotten, scary people! Here's hoping your next assignment is a joy! ::yes:: Those pounds are going to drop off, I feel it.

Debra -- Great job getting on the TM! :Pinkbounc I was blown away by the end of Lost. Really stunned. And did you recognize the waitress in the restaurant? It was the same woman who did the lottery, etc. These people are all connected in some way...

Jen -- Glad to hear your voice is coming back. Good luck with the tournament!

Tracy -- TOM really does a number on me, too. Even when I'm weighing consistently, I'm better off skipping that week. It's just too depressing! ;)

Kathy, Karen, KathyT, Dona and Everyone Else -- Let's move it and lose it! :hyper:

C'ya,
Maria

Tara - you can do the 16 miles. If you are able to keep up the that pace, you will be able to do the WDW marathon next year.

Linda & Debra - great job on the TM. It gets easier as you go alone. Don't push the speed too fast or you may end up with shin splints or other leg problems. The unofficial rule is to try and increase distance for conditioning. As you become more conditioned, the speed will naturally follow.

Maria - how is your day going?

Linda - I have a Specialized Sequoia on the trainer in my family room. I also have an exercise bike in the basement next to the treadmill. The see on the road bike is much easier to deal with and doesn't numb my b***. If I can keep up the indoor cycling, I should be in good shape to cycle outdoors and maybe do some of the group rides with the cycling club. I have worried about keeping up with them because I would die on the hills in the past.

I am going into the gym after my nerve conduction test to do the strength circuit set up for me. I may even spend some time on the arc trainer depending on how my legs feel.

Have a great day. Will check back in later.

Hi,

Tara, I sent you a pm on the clippie. I'm at work now, so will post later tonight.

KathyT

Wow, so much to celebrate! For those in the NE, please be careful this weekend with that nasty noreaster that is coming your way. It will hit to our east, but I'm praying that you all will be safe & sound.

Met with a new trainer this morning and got a run-through of my new program, seems tough but it will help! Not concentrating on my food too much just staying on track with the exercise for now.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and if you are stuck in that snowstorm burn some calories by shoveling, lol! I shoveled for nearly an hour this morning and I am whipped. Between the elliptical and my program run-through & the shoveling I am ready for bed at 2pm!

Well! What a lot to celebrate.

The sore throat is almost completely GONE! I was able to put on another pair of formerly forbidden pants :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

B: pb toast (2 slices....6)
L: one slice pizza (6)
S: ???
D: ???

It's a basketball game and it's away! Bus ride.... :moped: which will probably be spend "iPodding"! And and and I get to cheer (with any luck, I'll get to be in front today).

Must dash as I have to get ready! Hugs love and WOOHOOS to us all :cheer2:

OK, here's a clippie (don't link from here yet, it's still on my own webspace).

The flash version (swf) looks really cool, but we can't use it here. I saved it out as an animated gif. It's not as cool, but still OK, I think. I can't remember the size requirements. It's 35KB, 200x 75.

Give some feedback, guys!

KathyT
