15 yr old getting too old for Disney???

I am in the same boat...except my DS is only 13!! He has been to WDW three times now. We always have fun. This year he doesn't want to go. Every time I try to involve him in the planning, he tells me he doesn't even want to go. (He has said this ad nauseum) . Sorry sweetie...you are going! I was thinking maybe it has something to do with having to get up early in the mornings. So I made no early PS's and have told him that if he doesn't want to go to EMH with us, then he can sleep in and come to the park we are at when he gets up. He will be able to contact us once he is in the park via the walkie talkies. (hopefully) I don't know what to do! (I swear, he must have been switched at birth and there is some non Disney-loving family out there with my real Disney loving son!) I just keep hoping that once he is there, he will get caught up in the magic! (keep your fingers crossed!)

Though this may seem like herecy, I also agree with the idea of taking a day or two to go to Universal/IOA. Make a deal that he has to agre has to try to enjoy the days at Disney if you agree to try to enjoy the time at Universal. I teach teenagers and I find that they don't feel so bad about making concessions if they feel like you are too.

Our cousins had the opportunity to go to WDW every summer... Our older cousin go so tired of it he was about to 'kill' his sister when for her high school graduation she chose a trip to WDW. She could have gone to Europe! so for a compromise the older son spent 3 days at WDW while the rest of the family did the cruise/parks.. I love disney and could never not go, but 15 years in a row is a bit much. So compromise is always an option..

 You r never too old for DISNEY, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!:yo-yo: :bounce:  DISNEYNANA

My son (15 at the time) thought he was too old last year....he had a blast. We are doing our vacation there again this year and he is more excited than ever. They come around...and the truth is, it's fun, no matter what the age. Make sure you include him in the daily planning so he feels he has a say. He would most likely be disappointed ( and not tell you) if you let him stay home.
Good luck!
