Oaky - it's 15 days before we leave for our WDW trip. First time for ds who's 2 - so he is so excited - can't wait to see "Lion King" as he called Animal Kingdom and Minnie's Mickey World ! The other three are pretty psyched too. DH says he's getting a headache just thinking about the trip - but then he's no too much into crowds, getting up early, and of course he loves our 4 kiddos just not having to spend 24 hours a day for a week with 4 ranging in age from 2 - 17! I of course have been prepping the kids and doing school lessons on WDW (I homeschool 2 of the 4!). I've done dining reservations - buying more warm weather clothes - new sneakers - etc. (You know lot's of planning and shopping has to happen for a family of 6!)
Of course now I'm second guessing our choice and length of stay. We are only staying 5 nights with 6 days of park hopper passes - our plan is to go to the Space Center and Cocoa Beach after Disney before heading back - but now I'm wondering if we just should have stayed at Disney over Easter weekend. And we decided to stay at POR with two rooms (one with a trundle) so all dc could have their own beds - but some friends just went last week and didn't care for POR. They also said that pools at POR and at FQ were terrible - all covered in green/yellow pollen, etc. We did POR about 4 years ago and kids loved going to FQ to the pool. We almost booked AKL but I was being cheap and didn't want to pay the extra $1500 to do it and now dh is wondering if we should have. Of course I think if there's a pollen prob it will be in all the pools regardless of where we stay - but our 2 yo is now in love with pictures from AK! IS it too late to change?????
