15 Days and 40 Dining Reviews

I'm in! - enjoying your reviews so far and your "style": photo, description, move on! - and 15 days?! (sigh....)

On 6/20 we had lunch at Fulton's. My daughter and I were looking forward to this meal. We had never eaten there before. It had a stuffy feeling to it we felt. The service was ok, the food took a long time to come out.

My daughter and I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and the shrimp po boy and we split them. The po boy did not have much shrimp in it. The po boy at sassagoula was much better. I really liked the lobster mac and cheese, not enough to pay $20 for it again. Tope had the chicken chibatta and he said it was good. My son had the ribs and said they were great and we would want them again. Verdict was split 50/50 on our family going back. We were able to use the TIW. I cannot find the receipt though.

Oh, I forgot to comment on the chowder. It was ok, but I am from New England and we have much better chowder at home.

We had breakfast at Boma 6/20. It as very good. Our server was also very good. There was many options on the buffet with many of the basics. The total with TIW came to $94.91. We saved $18.39.

We had a reservation r Beaches and Cream for 7pm, we were going to just go for ice cream. Due to scheduling we ended up at Beach club at 5:15 wanting ice cream. We didn't want to get penalized for canceling our reservation. At the check in desk we were advised that since we still showed up and were going to get ice cream from the to go they would not penalize. That is what we did. We ordered a banana split, a strawberry shortcake, a shake and an ice cream sandwich all to go. We could not use TIW since we wee doing the to go. The ice cream was very good. We were able to get seating outside. The total came to $26.06.

We ate at Grand Floridian Café on 6/21. We were looking forward to this one. I had eaten here for breakfast before and it was really good. We were disappointed. The server was nice, but didn't really seem to fit with the restaurant if that makes since. The food tasted of low quality. It seemed like premade or frozen. We had two shrimp pastas, salmon, café sandwich, falafel fritter. We also had 2 lemonades and a rootbeer. The food was not bad, just not up to the standards we were expecting. We will probably not try it again. The total was $106.23 with the TIW. We saved $20.58.

On 6/21 we went to DTD. We couldn't all agree on 1 place so we got food from Wolfgang puck to go and Bongos to go. From Bongos we had the Cuban sandwich, Caesar wrap and the tuna salad, a juice and a bottled water. The sandwiches were good, the fries were very good. Tuna can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed it. It came to $38.34. Pretty steep I felt, but oh well. At Wolgang Puck we ordered the Mac and cheese, which is sooo good and a kids pepperoni pizza with a water and a coke. It came to $27.69. Again, pretty steep.
We did enjoy the food at both places though. Both places did not seem to busy yet we waited a while for the food. The pic of the mac and cheese and pizza is halfway through the meal. The service at both places was not good. Bongos the server did not really speak good English and made us feel uncomfortable because we did not speak Spanish. She would not speak English to us, I don't know if she could speak English. There was also a lot of joking around behind the counter.
Wolfgang puck server was very rude and gave me attitude for ordering a child size pizza. I ordered te mac and cheese too. I went up to the register alone. I don't know why she was so mad about it.

The following I have no pictures for. We ordered a tiramisu from Boardwalk bakery. My daughter said it was very good. It is a nice spot to grab a snack and relax outside. It was $5.32.

We ordered 2 mickey ice cream sandwiches from the Beachside pool bar. It came to $8.50. They were the pre packaged ones. The kids liked them.

We went to Top of the World Lounge on the 21st. We ordered a Bay Lake Sunset, Mojito Bacardi, Ultimate Long Island, child's sunset, Virgin Strawberry daiquiri. Drinks were made well, but service was extremely slow. It took us 20 minutes to get our drinks from when we ordered them, that was on top of the 15 minutes it took to get a server. My son did not like the sunset, I ordered the adult version, it was good. I would not order again though. It was too sweet for me. The total came to $40.72 without tip.

We went to Mara on 6/20. We ordered a chicken dinner, falafel pita, pepperoni flatbread and 2 sides of fries. All of the food was good. The total came to $40.73

Thanks everyone for reading along. I wish I could add more fluff, but I feel like I am always rushing just to put them up. Every time I write one, I get hungry.

On 6/22 we went to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. We checked in about 10 minutes before our reservation. They did a photo which had a very pretty background. We were seated right at our reservation time. Our server was very good. The characters were great. The mad hatter had a fruit loop food fight with my kids from another table he was visiting and blamed it on that family. He was very funny. The other characters also did a great job in character. The food was very good with lots of options. We would definitely do this again. It was one of our favorite meals this trip. The price for 5 adults was $$144.43 with TIW. We saved $27.99.

We had lunch at Riverside Mill on 6/26. I think Port Orleans has good food courts. I like the service and the quality there. I had the make your own pasta. It is so good and so filling. I chose shrimp and some veggies and alfredo sauce. It came with a breadstick and I had grated cheese added to mine. We were using vouchers here so I felt obligated o get a dessert since it was included. I had the apple blossom, I also ordered a smart water. I could not finish the pasta or the apple blossom. I could have shared the meal, I will know for next time.
My daughter also did the make your own pasta and had a crumb cake and ice tea. She said the pasta was delicious. She couldn't finish it and did not even try the crumb cake. My son had a Bacon Chesseburger with fries and soda and a sundae. He finished it all and said it was good. My nephew had the same and finished his too and said it was good. I don't know how they ate all of it, but good for them. Tope Had the Grilled Chicken sandwich basket with fries and got grapes and smart water. He said it was very good. He was expecting it to taste dry or have that frozen chicken taste, but it did not. My niece had the make your own pasta with a cupcake and cranberry juice. She could not finish the pasta, but did eat half the cupcake. She loved it. If we didn't have the vouchers, we would have paid $117.19 for 6 of us. We already started eating before we remembered to take the pictures. Sorry.

On 6/26, we had dinner at Via Napoli. We had reservations for 6:30, but were hot and hungry around 5:30 so decided to see if they could seat us early. We waited about 15 minutes and we were seated. Our serves was awful. She acted like she didn't want to be bothered. She didn't want to answer questions. She spoke Italian most of the time, which is nice if she explained to us what she was saying after. We ordered pizzas for our party of 10. We had a large margherita, a metro margherita, and a large pepperoni. We had 3 ice teas and 3 sodas. My sister ordered a glass of Sangria. The remaining 3 had water with lemon. The pizza was great, definitely best pizza on Disney property in our opinion. Our group of 10 was able to finish all of the pizza and were full. We loved the pizza. We live in RI where we have very good pizza, so it was nice to be able to have it in Disney. The meal came to $129.00 with TIW. We saved $25. Via Napoli is a great value. For 10 people to eat for under $150 at table service is great. We will definitely go back, but will make sure we do not have the same sever. She was awful and almost ruined the experience.

We went to the churro cart in Downtown Disney on 6/27. We got 4 churros , 3 sprites and a bottle of water. It came to $23.50

We went to starring Rolls for breakfast on 6/27. We ordered 4 large cinnamon buns, 2 bagels, 2 iced teas and 2 chocolate milks. The cinnamon rolls were so good. I think they might have been the best I have ever had. I want one right now. The total came to $32.71.

We took the bus to French quarter from HS to have lunch at Sassagoula which you can use TIW for even though its counter service (they do not have table service). We ordered 4 quesadillas, 2 shrimp po boys, a sausage po boy, 9 beignets, and a cappuccino. The total came to $85.96 with TIW. We saved $20.18. The sevice was very good and so was the food. The po boys are stuffed, so makes them more appealing. They come with chips. We will come back if staying in the downtown Disney area.
