$149 or $129 Teach rate at S/D?

I swear the teacher rate was increased to $149 a couple months ago. I've been away from the boards for two weeks and it seems everyone is saying the rate is $129. Can someone tell me exactly what is going on? Thanks.

I believe you are correct. My wife and I have stayed at the Swan and Dolphin a few times and our next trip in Nov. we were charged 149.00. It is still a great deal, but I don't have to like it.

Perhaps the rate depends on the time of year you are visiting.

I reserved the Dolphin at the higher rate. Then I read on these boards that it had been taken back down to $129 so I called to have mine changed to that. It had already been changed to the $129 rate - maybe they did it automatically when rate dropped? Anyway, I had them send me a new confirmation with the new $129 rate just to be sure!

I'M LEAVING FOR DISNEY IN ONE WEEK. YEAH!!

I thought I read right here that it went up to $149, but was lowered back down to $129.00 per night.

That's why I had posted the rate being $129 on the other thread. I had also thought I read that after it was increased to $149 it was then dropped back down to $129. I'm sure you can contact the hotel directly to confirm.

WOW - I can't believe it's back down to $129/night. That's such an amazing rate for S/D. I think $149 was still a fantastic rate, but I'll gladly take the extra money.. When we were there last week, they were completely booked, so I figured they could afford to up the rates. I guess I missed the posts where the rate came back down, while I was away.

I was told by Stephanie, my ressie angel, that the rate had once been 149 then 139 and now is 129 and will stay at 129.
