14 people going to disney in JULY! *updated 8/7*

Hahahah Oh geez! Well, don't let them push you around ;) :rotfl: What happens next? Don't leave us hanging too long!

I love that you have so many people going on your trip that a meeting is required! But, looking at your list of 'meeting food', can I be invited to your next one?! Yum!

Great cliffhangers! Now hurry home to end the suspense...

My thoughts exactly. I just want to go to a meeting at her house!

So after DH and Dsis ran me up the wall the meeting began:teacher: . I had prepared a PowerPoint presentation . That had all pictures of the house and the cars we would be renting along with each day planned out and how much everything was going to cost. Everything was fine until……………

Macallan: “I have a question”
ME::headache: Didn’t I say no question until after
Macallan: “But it’s important”
ME: “Ugh go ahead”
Macallan: I think I smelling something burning”
ME: :scared1: OMG the Ziti
Everyone: :firefight FIREEEEEEEEEEE

So I run to the kitchen to pull the ziti out but when I get to the kitchen I see that I left a cloth on the stove and the stove was on medium. Did I almost burn my house over Disney? Would Mickey give me a place to stay after losing my house because I wanted to pay him a visit? All we could do was laugh and thank Macallan for smelling it before it got worse. We cleaned everything up and got back to the meeting. Everyone looked really interested and Suzie’s Kids and DH husbands little brother was so into it. Then came the hard part talking about the money :scared: . So the plan was to split everything 16 ways minus the 2 little ones. So here the break down divided by 16 people

House (10 nights) $1850: $115 per person
Rental Cars $1500(with insurance) for 4 cars ( 2 SUV’s and 2 full size):$93.75 per person
Gas/ Sun pass $300 per car:: $75 per person
Food for the house $1200: $75 per person

Total :$358.75 Everyone was really happy at the price and some wanted to pay all right then in there thinking that the price was going to change later on. Assured them that the price was set in stone unless someone didn’t want to go and guess what happens next:

Macallan: “I don’t think I’m going anymore

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 after an hour of my presentation now you don’t want to go????

Me: “And why not?”
Macallan: Stand up and takes my spot as if he’s now the one directing the meeting “ Well everyone just an hour ago I seen my life flash before my eyes because this women “Lucina” almost set us on fire for Disney.
Everyone: lol
Me: :confused3
Macallan: “ Now Who’s to say she wont knock one of us down at the magic kingdom, or try to kill us if we are late for an ADR, or even leave us on the day of the trip because some of us are a little behind?
Me:  Takes my stand “Listen here you guys will be on time the day of departure cause you guys will not delay my fun, you will be on time for ADR’s, and yes I will knock you down if I see Mickey and you are in my way, and you will smile and have fun and enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy this trip GOT IT!!!!!
Everyone: Got it :scared:

Then I continued, So what theme parks we will be attending. We decided to go with the following:

All four Disney Parks
Universal Studios (New Simpson’s Ride)
Islands of adventure
Blizzard Beach
Aquatica
SeaWorld
Wet n Wild
We decided to get the Orlando flex ticket which give you access to Universal Studios , Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld and Wet n Wild, and Aquatica for only $195 for adults and $130 for kids under 9 we got a discount because we were a large group and its good for 14 days. Now for Disney Tickets we all have annual passes that ends July 30th so we don’t have to buy tickets that saved us a lot.

So that gives a total of : $ 553.75 adults and $488.75 kids

I also informed them of Extra money if they wanted to eat at the parks, ADR’s and we plan on going to the outlets so money for that.

Everyone Agreed and was on board .:grouphug:

So that night everyone Paid there part for the Trip, that’s when It really set in the trip was going to happen.

After collecting the money and giving receipt (yes I give receipt) Everyone thanked me and said that I did good and were happy that I was planning the trip and everyone clapped :jumping1:. I almost cried when DH said “Just don’t burn the house down in Orlando cause are Insurance doesn’t over that” WHATEVER.

The Meeting was a success  and I was Happy it did. I got the food ready and we ate and watched the Disney DVD, Hair spray and while the kids were asleep we watched “Why did I get married” which is a really good movie you should rent it. Everyone left around 3am It was fun. I really got me excited about the trip.

Next up are agenda and ADR's………..

Question are the prices about good or should I cut something’s off? I would really like everyone option about it.
Thanks

So last night me and DH decided that we would go to Disney in April instead og march because it in 2 weeks and nothing has been done. So we pushed it back to give us sometime to get ready for the trip so are new dates are April 16-23rd

Is there something going on In April because almost all the hotels are booked for the day me and DH wants.

Hey,
I'm going that exact week too!...the only thing I can think of is that's around the time of school vacation week for some parts of the country. Hope you'll be able to find something!:)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
That's right!

Just signing on! You are so brave, being the Disney Planner for such a large group! :) You do sound very organized, Power Point presentations and all!

And what a Valentine's Gift! Kudos to your DH! I hope you can find some openings to plan that one! April has some school breaks so that might be what you are bumping into.

And for your first experience on the DIS last year, I am so sorry that happened. Some people are so ignorant.

Thanks for joining :welcome:

It was the best give ever I want to see what he does next year.

I'll still can't find nothing onsite, and the ones that are opened are way to expensive.

Do you include parking fee's? Even though it is $10 a park, it still adds up. Or do you get free parking with AP's.

Still cold in Wisconsin. I walk 2 blocks to work when it is -10 below. I have anti-climated myself to the cold, so it isn't to bad anymore. It isn't worth starting a vehicle up when it is that cold out. We are suppose to see a warm of of 28 on Saturday. I think we should have a house exchange-you'll love the cold and snow.:rotfl:

Hey everyone :wave2:

Ok it’s official I’m losing my mind:crazy:. Since DH and I push are solo trip to April it hard to find a hotel onsite. It either booked or way to expensive WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY :crazy2: . I really want to stay onsite but $2900 :scared1: for a deluxe villa is way too much and the other resorts that we want are booked. DH doesn’t mind but we are going to Jacksonville for one of my oldest sisters (I have 5 sister all married except for my little sis) wedding :bride: in May, we have the group trip in July, and another Disney trip for my best friends birthday in September, and we are planning on going to Halloween Horror nights in October. So I rather save some of the money from this trip and put it toward those trips. We are staying at the Hilton in the Walt Disney World resort which is really close to Downtown Disney and Disney’s Parks and are package included extra magic hours and there is a shuttle that take you to the parks, free breakfast each morning, early check in and out it was $1200 from April 16-22 because my sister works for Hilton here in Miami and she got us a discount,it's not onsite but hey I'm still going to Disney :cloud9: . Now for a rental we are getting a full size car at enterprise DH’s always rents from them so they give us good discounts the rental was only $150 for the week and we got a free upgrade to a luxury car :drive: . I need to go shopping for some toiletries oh how I love toiletries  it give you that I’m going on vacation feeling, and shopping for clothes and I need I need I need OMG I’m having a black out, I need to go plan are day out and figure out what we will be wearing. I can't wait let me bust a move :dancer::dancer:

P.S.

Thanks for all of you who joined my PTR, and those who are reading I greatly appreciate it. :grouphug:

:scared1: :scared1: Walking in the cold now that's two things that just dont mix with me :rotfl: I wont even walk to the beach which is 2 or blocks away from my house but I guess i should start so i can get use to it when i go to disney. And about the house exchange :scared: I wouldnt make it pass the airport.

I wonder why April is so booked already. I remember in 2003, calling at the end of march and asking for All Star Music. It was booked and they gave us a free upgrade to POR. Try that strategy.

I should try that I wanted to stay at POR but they didn't have any king beds.
