I order cheeseburgers with ketchup only and a chicken sandwich with no mayo. The extra seconds that takes must really drive people crazy.

Ok, so let me get this straight. YOu go to the drive thru, it is your time and you are entitle to order what you want in any amount. Ok, so as many of you stated, you would do this partially because you really can't carry that much food out. So you go and order and then you expect MORE THAN ONE of their employees to bring out your food, because as most of you stated, you can't handle all that food at one time.
I find it more odd that someone goes through the drive thru to order a soda than someone going through the drive thru to order meals (no matter how many).

I think it is funny that typically on the DIS when you mention you eat fast food, people claim they would never eat that horrible stuff. Yet here we are with almost 10 pages of people describing their drive thrus!
Ok lets say about 4 or 5. Once you get into double digits, you are done. I do find it interesting, because I am trying to figure out who would be buying 14 happy meals, or 14 of anything, especially since not too long ago there was a thread about how people would refuse to pick up lunch for people at work. I have to say that I have never in all my 40 something years had the occasion to order 14 meals at place that has a drive thru. So does that answer your question?
So, even though you said you were done with this, agree or disagree, you were done - have a good night, blah blah blah -- you actually weren't done. HMMM Do you not get that if an order isn't ready by the time the person gets to the window to pay that they're generally asked to pull up (or over into a space) and wait for the food to be brought out??? Seriously???
Also as many have pointed out this person would NOT have sat at the window until all 14 items were ready..she would have been asked to park and it would be brought to her. You don't seem to get that either. The guy ordering his morning coffee would have taken only a couple minutes less to place and order than this lady.

I understand one thing, your posts are coming across as too bad, you wait your turn, I will take as much time as I need, I will pull forward and have multiple employees bring out my food, or have them make multiple trips, so I don't have to get out of my car and deal with my food. I understand perfectly.
We will have to agree to disagree. I am sorry that you think I am incapable of understanding. I can assure you I can. Have a good one.
I am actually so shocked by the responses, I had to post a poll. I have always been under the impression the dt was for simple and quick. I have always gone in if I had anything complicated or special order that might tie up the line.
