14 Day Ultimate Ticket

We are going to buy the 14 Day Ultimate Ticket for our September 2007 Trip. The last time we went (September 2003) This was included in our ASM hotel package and entrance to the parks was with our Room card.
What happens with this ticket to gain entrance to the Parks? Do you have to exchange it for a Pass at WDW?

You don't swap it for anything you just use it as a ticket to get into the parks each day.

If you are staying onsite then the tickets will be on your room key same as before.

When you use one for the first time, do they check your residency somehow?

If I remember correctly, you get sent a voucher for the ticket in the post. This is what happened to us in Feb when we bought 14day Ultimate tickets separately from our accomodation.

When we checked into Old Key West, we handed over the vouchers, and they updated our room keys to include the passes.

Undercover Tourist and DiscountOrlando sites both say that the 14 and 21 Day are valid for 2006 only.

What if their trip starts Christmas week, and ends the first week of January..?

Does it just have to be acitivated before the end of 2006?

I'm sure the tickets validity is OK as long as the first use date is in 2006, even though your stay goes into 2007

I seem to remember that that was the rule for the FITS passes, too. As long as you started them before the expiration date you were fine.
