14 Children are not enough???

And they are all J names!!!!!!!! Can you imagine!!!

Just think of all the grandchildren...they will have to alphabatize just to remember who belongs to who at gatherings.

Some of those J names too....Jinger?!

And homeschooling them...!!! My mom had trouble with 3!!

Well I give them credit. They know what they want and they don't seem to be asking anyone for anything. She is one busy lady but seems happy about it.

This woman was profiled in a parenting magazine (maybe Parents?) about a year ago. I think she's nutty, and not just because of the # of kids and all the "J" names. Something just reminded me of a cult thing or something--the kids do most of the work, they're very religious, I don't know, it just stuck in my craw. And now this--I think she's loving the media attention more than anything.

I woman that I used to work with... her husband was one of 17!!!!

Yes 17!

:faint:

I have 4 kids with J names and get them all mixed up all the time. Can't imagine trying to keep 15 straight.:teeth:

My mother is one of 16 children. She will be 69 in June. It's not so hard to keep track of everyone until the grandkids start having babies, then it gets sticky, LOL! None of Mom's siblings ever matched the number of offspring their mother had. I only have one sibling each. I just can't imagine taking care of that many children.
Smiles,
Diane =0)

Oh my, I can not imagine having that many children. Having two is wonderful, but I dont think I could handle 14. LOL:p

Oh my She was just on the news and she was saying she WANTS more!!!

Jinger. Wow. What a name.

Sounds like a strippers name! :p

J/k, if that's what they want, then I wish them lots of happiness.

Not for me though......;)

In my neighborhood growing up, there were two familys each with 13 kids...they lived next door to each other, there was another with 10 kids, one with 8, there was never a shortage of someone to play with

I would love to be from a big family. I only had two children, but would have loved to have a houseful. I think big families are wonderful. Sounds like they are happy, and that is what is important!

I saw them in the same parenting magazine.( I read them all so I can't remember which one either) They do seem a bit strange to me too. I think it is unfair to have all those kids and make the older kids do alot of the housework and babysitting of the younger kids.

My Dad was the oldest of 14 children and his youngest sister, my Aunt, took care of him until his death after my Mom died. He also raised her when she was a child.

I consider it a blessing that my Grandmother had number 14!
