So we fly out next Saturday (21st) and I'm all packed now! Did it this afternoon and loved it! I always enjoy packing. Two or three last things to buy, then I'm all done. Just gotta hope the next 13 days fly by! I'm really counting down 12 days, as when I finish work next Friday that's when my holiday will start officially....

We'll do a takeaway (probably fish and chips, a classic English dinner) and a few glasses of something nice to help us sleep. Anyone else have any pre holiday rituals/habits!

Firstly I hate to say this but the 21st is not next Saturday:rotfl:

I am normally packed a good couple of weeks before hand as well.
DH ritual is to buy that months Flypast Magazine but not open or read any of it until he is on the plane. My ritual is just packing, unpacking, packing, unpacking just to make sure I really do have everything we need.:goodvibes

Who are you flying with? we're out on 21st. From Gatwick with Virgin

I am pretty much packed now and we don't go for over a month. I am like a pp a bit of a pack and re pack DH is more throw it in the case and hope for the best.
we usually go out for dinner and then it's an early night. We won't drink because we have to drive to the airport we are leaving from.
We stay over night near the airport the night before so it's dinner and a couple of glasses of wine.
I will start to relax once we get to the night before hotel.

We find sleeping nearly impossible the night before. Always wake up early like a 5 up year old kid on Christmas Day...

We're staying at home, but the second I finish work at 5 on Friday my holiday starts! Same for my wife

Nice. Bet she'll be unbearable that Friday!!
I'll be at work, she has a bit of a pamper day planned i think, then it'll be meet up and drive to airport, drop off cases, check in and have a well deserved glass or two of wine.

Can't wait. Only 10 work days left. Hotel at gatwick the night before, so holiday starts at 5 Friday 20th...

That's when our holiday always starts as well. :thumbsup2 Staying at the Gatwick Hilton is another of our rituals, executive room so we get executive lounge with free drinkies and nibbles and then the Hilton buffet breakfast. :)

Enjoy all of you going on the 21st..:goodvibes

Thank you, I'm sure we will. I'll be doubly excited as its my birthday too!

Ahhhh, so you're the wife!? Hope you both have a great time. We'll join you in a toast that Friday night about 7.30/8pm?? Couple of glasses of wine with our fish and chips!

You're welcome to join us in the airside 'Spoons on the 21st I'm planning a birthday drinkie before we fly!
