Our first trip to Disney was last Sept. We stayed at the CR on the 12th floor and had a wonderful trip. So wonderful in fact that we are going back again, which I can't believe because my husband said we would only take one trip to Disney. We have 3 girls, 13, 11 and 9. I am wondering if we want to go back to the 12th floor or try the poly concierge. If we do the poly we will stay on the garden side, is that the cheaper of the two sides? Anyway, we will be staying on the cheaper of the two sides. I was wondering if anyone could help me decide where to stay. Also, if we decide to stay at the poly does anyone have any suggestions for what to request. Thanks so much.

my DH and i absolutely love the poly concierge.. we love it for many reasons.. the location to the magic kingdom is great.. just hop on the monorail and you're there.. the snacks and food out is always wonderful, whether you want a whole meal there or just a snack.. you can take drinks with you to the park or back to the room.. they did have bottled water to take with you but i don't believe they offer that anymore.. but, they do have soft drinks.. anything you need just ask.. they can make reservations for you or if you need absolutely anything.. i love the view from the lounge late at night to just sit and have a drink or two watching cindy's castle change colors.. it's beautiful.. also the beach is great during the day or at night to watch the electric water parade.. hmmm what else.. just the theme also is wonderful.. you can go over to the GCH and do shopping or dinner.. the girls would probably love the volcano pool.. i love the volcano pool, it's also zero entry..

now, i can't help you decide because i've never stayed at the contemp.. but, if you have the chance to stay poly conc definitely try it.. i would say it's well worth it.. also, check out tikiman's website for more info.. also, i'm sure others would be of more help as to which room you should request.. and yes, i believe garden view is cheaper because the other option is lagoon view..

anyway, hope that helped

We stayed in the Poly/concierge last fall. I really doubt we'll ever stay anywhere else, at least not with our kids. We all loved it. We had stayed there before several years ago but it seemed that the concierge service was so much better this past fall. We did stay at the CR several years ago, not concierge, and it was nice but just doesn't compare to the Poly! For our family, once we figured the difference between concierge room vs. non-concierge room, we more than made up the cost difference with the food and drinks available at the concierge lounge (breakfast there every day, snacks, drinks anytime and several nights the appetizers were so filling that they were more like meals - one night they had steak or chicken on skewers, noodles and spring rolls - I've read they don't have the spring rolls anymore, they'll be missed.) We have three growing boys so you know they eat plenty!!!! Also, you'll love the extra service. If you've never had concierge services before you need to try it. We just love the treatment. When we were there in October the staff all bent over backwards to help us. One in particular, Marc, not only helped us with some planning and priority seating reservations - which of course is his job - but he also took the time to really get to know us and to know our boys. He knew each of the boys by name and made it a point to speak to them and give them extra attention. I just can't say enough good about the Poly! Although we didn't think we'd be going back for a few years we're already planning another trip for next fall! Can't wait! Good luck with your decision-making!!!!!

Poly Concierge!!! The CM are really nice and helpful and they are willing to help in anyway. The food they have out is pretty good and is very quick and easy for breakfast. The theme is also great and makes you really feel as if you are in the Polynesian. The staff is also great at making PS ect. The views from each room are also amazing! Try to get a Castle view and you will be amazed!
