Hi my name is Penny Lane and I am addicted to Disney. :thumbsup2
This is my first pre-trip report. So I hope I can figure it all out. I love reading others, so hopefully I can pick it up quickly.

This trip we will celebrate Charlie Ann's 12th birthday :yay: and my DH (Clayt) first trip to Disney . He says this will be his only trip so I have to make it worth while.

There is a chance that we maybe taking our niece with us to the parks. So I do not know the exact length of the trip but I do know we will arrive in Orlando on January 4th 2015. Clayt is a service member so we will get our park tickets at the post travel agent. We can get 6- 4 day passes. So if it’s the three of us without the niece we can do 8 park days. But if our niece come we will do 4 park days. We can book Shades of green right now for our trip. I need to find out if you can book fp+ before if you stay at SOG. If not I am thinking of booking all-stars’ sports as soon as I can. Might get a travel agent involved.
Clayt has PTSD and does not want to fly so we will be driving from Kansas. Which makes the trip even longer. But I will take it :)

So let me give a little back story of Disney. I am 32 and grew up without cable TV. We had every single Disney Movie on VHS :happytv: (my mom still has all of them and the new Disney movies on DVD) and boy did I ever watch them over and over. I always dreamed of going to Disney but my parents said it was way to expensive. The summer before my 9th grade year my godparents took me along to help out with their young kids in Flordia for a month. In exchange they took me to magic kingdom for one day. Looking back it was very busy as it was late June 1995 but I loved every min of it. So my love for Disney just grew stronger.

Clayt has never caught the Disney bug (I hope I can change that) so to him Disney is a place with way to many people.

Then we have our daughter Charlie Ann. She was 7 when we went in 2010 and when she grows up she want to work at Disney. She has watched all the VHS at her Nana’s house and all the new one that have came out. Our latest fave is Frozen and we love listening to the songs on Pandora.

As I said earlier Charlie Ann and I went in 2010 with my mother (Nana). We booked at trip in January 2010 with a travel agent for a June 6-11 2010 trip. We stayed off site at Comfort inn Lake Buena Vista. The travel agent booked us for 5 nights and 6 days. It was 2000 for the flights and hotel and tickets from base ( at that time the tickets were 99 for a 4 day pass) we spent about 500 on food and another 200 on taxis. We did the city buses too. Well the trip would have been epic but my mother forgot her blood pressure meds and they didn’t show up until day 3 of our trip. Nana is also a smoker so that took up some time.
Day 2 (actually day one in parks) we did RD for MK.

I tried to sway Charlie Ann over to space mountain but she wanted to go thru the castle ,at that time I didn’t know there was things actually in the castle but she was upset that all we could do is walk thru.
So one of the things we will do is look at the castle this time. About 3pm Charlie Ann and Nana wanted to go back to the hotel as they were hot and tired. I was the mule and had the backpack on my back and I was fine but we had a vote system in place and I got over ruled. Tried to tell my mom we need to stay for the fireworks (in her mind if you have see any fireworks you have seen them all). So there is another thing for this trips check list. Day 2 we went to DHS and my moms legs were swollen and she didnt feel good so all we go to do was star tours and Muppets and watch the stunt show ( my mom left early because being that high up was messing with her).

So we left before noon. Nanas meds had been overnighter and where waiting for us at the hotel. After she took them we decided to take the city bus to Wal-Mart. Big mistake the website said you could take it and it would drop you off right by Wal-Mart. But it didn’t we ended up walking a few miles to Wal-Mart  got to see a few cool things like old hotels and lots of helicopter flights.
Day 4 was Epcot.

Nana still wasn’t feeling well and she said she felt sick watching DD on the monorail swing around the pole. The Monorail was empty

But I told nana that if she wanted she was more than welcome to go back to the hotel but Charlie Ann and I were going to stay at the park until the fireworks show. If you ask nana now you have never seen a fireworks show until you have seen one at Disney. :):rotfl2:

Day 5 was AK and we got to see a parade and nana also loved that so did Charlie Ann and I.
The one thing both me and Nana both agree on 4 days at Disney is just not enough. So that is the reason that I want to try and go for 8 days in the park and 10-11 days at the resort. But if the niece goes (we will be paying for everything but souvenirs) so we will check in Sunday and check out Saturday. Wednesday will be our rest day. clayt knows that we will be going in the futre he jsut doesnt know if he will be going again.
One thing I will add is that I found the Dis right before our 2010 trip and it helped me find a trip planning site to help get the most out of our trip. Well the most that nana could out of the trip. I will be using the same touring plans site again this time and hope they will have the FP+ worked out smoothly by then.
I hope you will enjoy my PTR.
