End of Day 10!
-Michelle[/B]

Just a quick not to say two things I am loving your trip report and to point out a samll error the music palyed after Iluminations ends is Tapastry of Nations, the original version of the music, and not Tapaestry of Dreams. By the way I love that pice of musci and could lidten to it for hours on end wishing I could have seen the parade that goes with it.

Oh, I had to tell you I thought of you yesterday Michelle!

DH & I were at the Art of Disney yesterday at Downtown Disney and I saw the Beauty & the Beast picture you bought your DD! :goodvibes

I told DH I knew a DIS'er, who bought that painting!

Hi Michelle - I'm still here!
What an amazing day! It's funny - I'm often asked why I bother with multiple-night trips to WDW when I live under 2 hours away. The day you just described is it; having an opportunity to just hang out at a resort, linger over a meal, explore places other than the parks - THAT, to me, is vacation time!
Just how horrendous were the crowds at EP? I know there will come a day when I can no longer take DS out of school to go off-season - what are we in for?!

Yes, I think they both liked the nice dinner so much that they're planning on going again sometime. Now Conner just needs to get a job so he can pay for his dates!!! ;)

Hee hee hee....a job to pay for dates...ah the stages of growing up! ;) I am so glad he had a great time even with the snow storm...and Michelle...what a handsome boy you have there!! :thumbsup2 And what a sweet looking couple they make! :) Thanks for sharing that with us!!

The last time I was at OKW was three years ago - Steve & I went on a much needed 4-day weekend and we stayed in a 1-bedroom villa. It was wonderful! We could picture us staying at OKW for weeks at a time in our retirement! :cloud9: (I think we need to buy more points for THAT to happen!!!)

That's so funny! I think that all the time, and I tell DH my long-term plan is to have enough points to spend the month of January at OKW when we retire, so we can escape a few weeks of the cold Maine winter! It's a very nice dream!:thumbsup2

Hey! I just noticed your new countdown and thought to myself... hmmm... I think that is very close to when we are planning on going to WDW! So, I had to go make a countdown of my own!!! We're going on October 5th for a quickie Halloween trip!!! It looks like we might overlap by a few days - what day do you get to WDW?

-Michelle

At this point I'm planning to arrive the 7th and leave the 12th. Where are you staying? I'd definitely like to try to meet up at some point!

Welcome to my TR! I'm glad you are enjoying it! :goodvibes

Sorry! I loved both Tapestry of Nations and Dreams and in my mind they're one big, happy blur. I have the music and I listen to it all the time! So, you didn't get to see the original parade? :sad2: We were lucky and got to see it in 1999 and 2000. I only wish I had a video camera back then - but I do have a lot of pictures! Did you get to see the Tapestry of Dreams parade?

I never got to see ethier version but I did get the CD at chrisrmas of 1999. I would love to see a video of the whole thing anywhere.

Your trip sounds fabulous!!!

I have a few questions - we have a trip planned for 12-15 to 12-20-2007. Can you tell me what to expect as far as crowds, weather, etc. From your pictures it looks like you almost have the parks to yourself!! Could that really be true!! :cool1:

Also, I was wondering does Magic Kingdom add a "Holiday Touch" to SpectroMagic and Wishes? Or do you have to attend the Mickey's Christmas Party to see the Holiday additions??

Thanks for any help or advice!!

You and me, both! I'm working on Christmas Eve right now, and I'm getting all choked up again. :sad1: Looking back, it really was a miracle we made it! This has been a crazy year over here already, and I'm trying to cling to my happy Disney memories!

Take care,
Michelle
Hold on to those memories and fill your head with dreams of the new memories yet to come...7 months and you are BACK!!! :goodvibes Of course, I am going to point out right now that we do EXPECT a trip report! ;)

Hi everyone! I just posted some pictures from our dinner at the Chef's Table in Victoria & Albert's on Christmas Eve in the Dining Review board. Here is the link to it if anyone wants to cheat and get ahead of where I'm at here in my TR!!! ;)

Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table - Christmas Eve 2006

I didn't go into any detail over there, it just has pictures. I'm saving the good stuff for my TR! :thumbsup2 Including the Chef's Table video!!!

I probably won't be able to update for a few days. It's DH B-day and I'm going to be busy this weekend. I hope everyone has an excellent weekend! See you on Monday!

-Michelle

Wow! The food all looks fantastic! I don't even want to begin to think how much that final bill was! :rotfl2: It looks so elegant and beautiful! I've never eaten anywhere that fancy! I'll have to start saving-up the money now to eat there in a couple years. The desserts look amazing! :goodvibes
