$125 for new Princess Character Breakfast

Sooo I have been dying for a princess meal to come back and was gutted it was after our trip until I saw the price!
Omg! $625 for breakfast! It just isnt happening for my family, I cant see value for us there.
I think it's a shame, kids dont need it to be so fancy, and while there are many adults going without kids, kids make up a very large part of the target market for these experiences.
Shame they cany do something like Alice's tea party at WDW.

Maybe it comes with a BBB voucher!

You do bring up a good point that it would make sense to do BBB before this as part of the day, but that seems like a pretty rushed morning, even if you could get both reservations, especially entering the parks and using a park ticket only to leave again for a lengthy meal. I think a lunch or brunch would have made more sense for that reason.

Does anyone with recent experience think it would be possible to pull off BBB before this?

It does sound a lot like the Princess Tea they do at the Grand Floridian at WDW. I think it was close to that price for my daughter(I don’t think mine was that much, it was ages ago so I’m not a very good source). It was small, so Aurora did spend time at each table. It also came with an American Doll type Aurora(I think that was part of the price). Then they took them on a parade through the hotel and ended in the gift shop because duh, it is Disney princess:
If it’s that type of a deal, I can see the price tag and I do appreciate that it isn’t a couple Mickey waffles and some anorexic Disney bacon for that price :scared::D

I’ve got a 13 year old son who has never been into meeting characters in general, let alone the princesses so I don’t really have any skin in this game.

I am not one to shy away from paying for special things at Disney...we’ve done Napa Rose chef counter twice, we are doing it again this summer for our anniversary, we’ve done a bunch of parties at wdw and I would be more than happy to pay the price to go to club 33 (if only I could find someone to take us) but I find the price of this breakfast vaguely offensive.

Disneyland has not had a princess character meal since the Pixar Pier revamp and when they finally bring one back, it’s $125+tax+tip?

Disney is giving me more and more reasons to dislike them. The cost of the meal (not counting tax and gratuity) is the price of a one day ticket from just a few years ago.

I'm happy for the people who are excited about this. It's nice there is an option to see the princesses outside of the parks.

My friend and I are insane and are somehow contemplating going to this...our birthdays are a month a part so we are thinking this could be a cool new thing to try...

We are wondering would we look weird going without kids lol
At the Princess Tea we did at WDW, there were more people that didn’t have kids than did princess: There were older teen girls, mid twenties and even older with their moms/grandmas. It was cool to see honestly so you do you and have fun! Kids at heart right, isn’t that how Walt would want it?

Oh hell no! I'm a sucker for princess offerings in the parks and have complained a lot that they got rid of them at Ariel's Grotto, and also that they got rid of Photopass in Royal Hall. But this is not going to fly. Sure, some will go. But they won't bring the family and they won't go back over and over.

I guess they're going for the segment that does the GF tea at WDW, but that offers live entertainment. And it caters to a one and done tourist set.

I very much resent that they took it away in the parks, kept it away for a year, then brought this back to meet that demand.

$250 for the 2 of us when we used to do this for "only" $100? Boo Disney!

Holy hopping rabbits that price is high! I immediately thought of Cinderella's Royal Table in WDW. Last time I went it was $80/person for dinner I can easily justify that meal - you are eating in the castle, get a large selection of princesses, and we really enjoy the 3 course meal! This is almost $50 more... I just can't with that price! I mentioned it to DH and he said "well, California can do amazing things with food, so maybe I could see that." Once he looked at the menu though, he was also on the Heck NO page with me! I am so happy we got to do Ariel's Grotto before it closed, no need or desire for this one. Excited for those who are able to do it, though! I know folks have been asking for a princess meal to come back for awhile!

Yes, I have been asking. But no, I won't be there. What a shame.

The price is steep, but I’m reading other places that it sounds like princess expirence on the cruise ships and those come with a doll and other great things.

I’m not going to say never. I can see my daughter and I doing this as a special thing while hubby and son go so something else.

I still say the menu is weird tho.

yea im glad DD was never really into the princess thing.$125 is not worth it to us when could probably do 2 character dinner/breakfast for less. Napa rose is also not somewhere I would take DD. I do get that its a character breakfast, but it sounds very formal.

But im sure it well sell since people are always looking for experiences that are a bit more exclusive. Just hope its not like the previous princess character meal. Need went but heard many bad reviews about how the princess never really stopped at tables.
