12 inch Duffy?

I posted this to Theme Parks but didn't get much in the way of responses. Thought the collectors might know a little more...

I know Duffy comes in a 17" size, and that's the one that has clothes for purchase. And I know there are 12" pre-clothed ones that get changed out with the seasons, holidays, and celebrations. But was there ever a "bare" 12" Duffy bear for sale in the parks? I ordered one online from 2 different vendors and have not received a true "bare" 12" Duffy bear, so now I'm starting to think that he may not have existed in the parks in this size.

I have not seen a plain 12" Duffy sold in the US parks, but they could have had one long ago when they were first introducing Duffy in the US or there could be one from Tokyo Disneyland.

I think they had the 12" bare Duffy in the Disneystores a few years ago, along with the 16" and the beanie size. The stores no longer sell Duffy.

Thanks. I'm just interested in the US parks. And that's what I'm trying to figure out, if there was one when he was first introduced into the US parks. I don't think so based on reading press releases on the Disney Blog and other websites, but thought someone might know for sure.

I got a 17" Duffy when he was first released in the US parks, and I've gotten a couple outfits along the way, and the 5" keychain. I don't know why all of a sudden now, 5 years later, I really want a 12", but I think I just like the size better than the 17", and it's harder to hug the ones with clothes on.

I tried ordering from two different online vendors thinking they might have something I can't get in the parks anymore. Their listings said they were authentic parks merchandise, and they are. But the first 12" Duffy ended up being a 12" 2011 Graduation Bear, and the vendor apparently took the clothes off before sending him to me. (He still had his original tags though). So I do now have a 12" Duffy bear with no clothes, and I'm keeping him b/c he's cute and apparently needed a home. Plus, even though (to me at least) it seemed a little shady, they did send me what I ordered so I don't have much recourse. But now I feel bad that there's a 2011 Graduation outfit out there somewhere with no Duffy. The second one ended up being a 17", which I am returning since I already have one.

That may have been the case. I have a 12" pink Disney Bear from the princess line along with the storybook.
