I just took a break from my packing... I don't know what to bring! :sad2: and when I can't decide what to bring, I tend to over pack. I'm repeating to myself "Don't over pack, don't over pack, don't over pack..." I don't think it's working too well.

I envy you folks who are going to go play at WDW for a few days before the cruise... you are so lucky!:yay: Please get some photos of their Christmas decorations... I've never seen the Florida parks at Christmas time.

Best wishes to the couples who are getting married this week! :flower3: pixiedust:

Started full on packing! We're going to have an additional suitcase, ack. Four checked bags and two carryons for two people. :headache:

DH and I finally got over to Epcot tonight, we had a cold front come through today and it was COLD and rainy, and very raw tonight. We saw John O'Hurley at the CP, had dinner with a couple friends at R+C, and decided to head home before the fireworks. No pictures I'm afraid, with the rain :(

Just a few more days of work (I still have to finish out the year, my job officially "ends" on Dec 31...ugh), and then vacation!!

I have not really packed yet but do have piles all over the place. Don't want to over pack either. Plus don't want to pay the airline extra for suitcases. Therefore some of my clothes have to do double duty I think.

My head hurts just thinking about it. I am trying to get away with less shoes too that is the hard one for me.

My son was sick this weekend too. Hope he gets that out of his system before we go. The kids are hoping for a snow day tomorrow. Right now we have rain that will likely turn into freezing rain then snow.:sad2:

For those still at home on Dec 4th, there are some WDW theme park specials on the Travel Channel. Seems like a fun thing to have on while you are packing your bags. :hyper:

2:00 - 3:00 PM - Fan's Guide: Walt Disney World
3:00 - 4:00 PM - Disney Splurge!
4:00 - 5:00 PM - Walt Disney World Resorts: Behind the Scenes
8:00 - 9:00 PM - Disney Holiday Magic with Samantha Brown

4 Days to WDW and 5 days to Disney Magic Cruise.
NAB: I have the you covered for snow here in Michigan. I don't think it is a Snowday equivalent, though. UGH
I, too, wish everyone who is going to get to WDW before the cruise to have a great time. If you get a chance the Grand Floridian sells Gingerbread houses out of a REAL Gingerbread house. It is quite something! Other hotels have a life-size Carousel made out of chocolate, and an African Village (Chocolate--AK Lodge). I think the Boardwalk has a Amusement Park (Chocolate) and I think the Yacht club has a life-size Santa Claus (Chocolate). At least that is what I remember from last year at WDW at Christmas.
Of course, the MK Castle is :tink: FABULOUS!!!!!Swarvski Crystal--that is what it looked like!
Hope everyone:grouphug: is well and ready for the cruise:santa: .
Have a Magical :wizard: Monday!!!!!princess: LD:cheer2:

Packing is a nightmare here. DH can't find one of his dress shirts. DS can't find his flip flops. I spent 3 hours at the Dollar store and WalMart today picking up last minute items.... This woman held up the checkout line at the Dollar store to return ONE ITEM. Mind you, it's the dollar store... you draw your own conclusions.

Love it Joy! LOL!! We leave on Thursday!
I love the packing stories everyone is telling! In my house, we tend to forget things....too many years backpacking, I'm afraid, so I make everyone travel light! But I hope we have what we need this year!!;)
Safe travels to everyone, especially those who need to brave snow and ice!! (I think we will miss it, thank goodness!) Looking forward to seeing everyone at 3 pm Saturday....I wonder how I will find you all........:rotfl2:

Started the much dreaded packing yesterday here also! It amazes me what you know you have and then can't find when you absolutely have too!! ARGHH!! We'll end up having about 7 checked and 5 carry ons for the 5 of us....luckily we purchased our airline tickets early last year and thankfully won't have to pay extra for any of it!! WHEW!! That could have cost us a bit! Hopefully the rest of this week will go smoothly! Only 4 more days!!

2 DAYS!!! 2 DAYS!! :dance3:

Ok, maybe I don't feel so bad? But then you do have extra help to carry it with five people! ;)

I'm trying to figure out the shoe situation...one white heels, one black heels, one silver heels? one flat dress sandal, one pair of strappy Tevas, one pair of thong Tevas, two pair of thong Crocs...is that enough??

And then getting frustrated because I didn't lose as much weight as I planned, so I have to unpack a couple things.

And then also figuring out what to do for dinner on Friday night...we had Grills at the port planned, but now it's supposed to be in the 40s/50s, so I'm thinking we may not want to eat outside.

And I'm sad that we'll be missing out on the Radisson pool now :(

Argh, running around like crazy! And DH is sitting serenely on the sidelines saying, "whatever you want dear."

Take your vitamins and eat healthy and drink plenty of water, everyone! I'm off to drink down an Emergen'C packet.

I have to admit I am fully packed and ready to go! It took me 3 hours yesterday! I am SO excited! I wont be able to sleep on Tuesday!

Yay no snow day here, it is raining though. I didn't want the kids under foot this week so that is good.

Hannah's teacher gave her math to that she would miss, almost got that done on the weekend. She also has to journal about her trip. The teacher had her make a flat friend to take along and put in the pictures. That should be fun, just as long as we don't don't lose Flat Maple ( that is what my dd called it)

I have the washer going as we speak, probably go all week just to stay ahead of the game.

We did book early enough for the luggage it is the size of suitcases that is killing us and that we may end up paying extra for.

princssdinsygina-- thanks for blowing that picture up! Great looking family and all look pretty darn happy.

Forever42-- I don't think I own that many shoes....:lmao: I live in my mickey crocs , but have to decide on dressy shoes.

40s/50s?? Say What?? :scared1: I guess I've only been to Florida when the low is, what, 80?

That sounds so familiar! I do all the research and logistical planning (and stressing over choices) and DH just shows up with bags packed. Then after the trip, he has the nerve to forget that I did all that planning and says something like 'what's so hard about planning a trip?' :headache:

Yeah, I had the same thought when I saw princssdinsygina's photo... you are all so cute.. you look so happy! :cloud9:

I am only bringing 4 pairs of shoes, can you believe it? Dress sandals, casual sandals, flip flops and my Skechers ballerina flats that are cushy like sneakers for walking.

Have just realized I am out of time for a pedicure so I'll have to slap on the nail polish myself.

We booked early enough to get the baggage allowance too... and we get 2 bags because we're flying first class, but I didn't want to get stuck on the way back with extra since we're in coach, so I am still trying to pack light. I figure we'll all come back with a bigger carry-on on the way back :)

No problem! Thanks! We are pretty happy! And even happier at Disney (obviously)!! We enjoy our disney food too!

Cruising puts me a bit more out of sorts than regular travel to Disney... normally we throw everything in the car and drive down to Disneyland and whatever we forget, we run to Target down the street. At WDW, we have the DVC villas and the little grocery store and anything is accessible.

On the ship, though, there aren't many choices when you forget something! Laundry is accessible but more of a pain than when we stay in a villa... and the space is so much smaller that you have to plan ahead.... eeeerrrrrrrr
