It sounds like a number of you are
DCL veterans, so I have a few (potentially stupid) questions to ask...
- Do we have to pay for food on
Castaway Cay? I had visions of everything being inclusive, but I see from the site that all the water toys and bikes cost money to rent, so I guess I'm living in a dream world.
Alcoholic beverages, yes. Food, no.
- Will there be some people that wear "pirate" mouse ears on pirate night? I don't want to dress up, but it would give me an excuse to wear my ears.
I've seen this many times before. We're going to Palo so no dressing up for pirate night for us.
- Are there any other themed nights besides Pirate Night? I thought someone on this thread mentioned 'Tropical' night (or something like that), but maybe it was referring to the same night.
Pirate night replaced Tropical night.
- Is there an internet cafe in St. Thomas or St. Maarten close to the pier? I can't afford the ship's rates.
Not certain, but I believe there is one in St. Thomas. Be careful in St. Maarten. I made a call once for a minute that cost me over $50!
- I've prepaid my gratuities... will something be given to me that I can give to my servers that show this?
When everyone else gets the form for suggested gratuities, you will get cards with the prepaid amounts already printed.
- We are two adults, will they pair us up with others for dinner? (we'd like this). I realized that the agent didn't ask about table size when I booked. We were given second seating.
Most likely. They rarely will seat you alone as a party of two unless you request this. We rarely indicate preference of table size unless the client requests a certain size. I've been at tables for 4, 6, 8, 10 and 14 before. Some I arranged, others were by chance.
Thanks!
Carol
