12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

I wish I could answer your question of what to do with your luggage. :confused3 We had this problem last time in the airport and had to lug our luggage around until we could check it. How long will you be in DTD? Have you asked this question of you car service, maybe they will hold the luggage for you. POR would be the ideal place if you could use bell service and grab the boat over to DTD.

My son has a suit now and I had to go out and get the pants hemmed for it. I do not sew. Also got my dd some new black dress shoes for her Christmas dress. We are having a family picture done at Sears this weekend. All these things will come in handy for the trip too.

Kids have a P.D. day at school today so they are home too cutting into my Dis time.

That is what I am thinking of doing and would be the best idea for us. They will not hold it for us because of all the cars that go in and out. Just dont want to lug around 10 days worth of luggage! UGH!

Ok.. another dumb question... remind me again when do I ask to have our bed split into two beds? Do I need to request that now or do I do it when we get there? Never had to split it, and dont really have to now but just want to know! :confused3 Thanks!

I'd request it now. You can request it when you get onboard, but it's easier for them to take care of it when they are getting the room ready for you to come onboard (all different bedding for twins versus queens).

Today went by really fast. Went to a concert of the Armonica. Not the Harmonica but the Armonica. It is an instrument invented by Benjamin Franklin. Quite an instrument. The man playing it also plays Glass Handbells, a Glass Violin and two other glass instruments. It was MOST unusual and one of the best concerts I have ever heard.
Then tonight we went to a program all about Ghosts that have been seen or heard by employees of Williamsburg. That was way cool!
Well, crew today (Tuesday) is 38 days!. Pretty soon it will be 25 days and then it will be like counting down for Christmas (you know, like an advent calendar). However, our Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or any other holiday we celebrate is coming early for each one of us!
Hope you all had a great day. Thanks for the clarification from Hawaii! I wish you safe journey as you make your way to WDW!
Disney Lady  :hippie: :woohoo: :santa:

We fly in on the 3rd so we're at 35 days now too! Excited, but I am slammed with work right now... it is fully the holiday photography season and I have sessions every weekend until mid November (my self-imposed cutoff so I can get caught up before vacation!).

I guess I should offer myself up for family portrait sessions for anyone who wants to do them onboard, maybe during one of the sea days. I'd love to do a Castaway Cay session but I am afraid I am reserving that day for just me and my family... Plus I don't feel good about taking my equipment into the sand or leaving it on the lounge! So let me know if you're interested-- my work is in the blog link in my siggie :)

We are at the 35 day mark too!!!  I cant believe it... it is coming up so fast! I have to buy a new bathing suit and an outfit for formal night!

Okay, just for fun, let's start dissecting the packing list....

Formal night
  • My outfit - check!
  • DH's tux - will rent from ship
  • DS's tux - have it but pants are too small so I need to either find him a new pair of pants or just have him wear the jacket and shirt with dockers
  • DD's dress - check!
Semi formal night
  • My dress - check!
  • DH's suit - check!
  • DS's suit - check!
  • DD's dress - check!
Palo
  • My dress - check! (same as semi-formal night unless I come across something I like even better)
  • DH's suit - check! (same as semi-formal with different shirt/tie)
Pirate night - still undecided but I think we're going to go with black shirts and khaki bottoms for each of us, with Goofy pirate ears. Maybe I will go to the fabric store and buy some red/white stripe fabric to make waist sashes for each of us... Trying to keep it low key.

Bathing suits - 2 for each, plus flip flips and coverups/tank tops

Shorts/t-shirts - 2 to 3 each (we do laundry at least once while onboard so that we can pack light, plus we always wind up buying at least one shirt each)

Cruise casual for dinner - dockers/capris for each of us, plus a couple nicer tops (also doubles for Palo brunch for me and DH)

Shoes - one pair tennies, one pair sandals, one pair dress shoes for each of us (plus aforementioned flip flops)

Socks, underwear, etc to make up a 3-4 day supply. LOL, I will probably be doing laundry on our first morning at sea!

Now, there, I think that covers all the clothing aspects...
I am obsessed....

WOW... Yeah, obsessed! LOL! :rotfl: I have not quite got that far yet! BUT.. soon! I have already pulled my luggage out of my closet and started throwing small things aside or picking up things at WalMart when I go. Ok...maybe I am obsessed! :dance3:

HELLO SISTER!!

Anyone need a new obsession?

For the Eastbound PC cruise someone told us that we can track the delivery of our cruise documents without getting a tracking number from DCL.

Go to http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/reference?loc=en_US and type in your DCL reservation number in the Reference field. You may need to narrow it down by counter and zip code (be sure to enter your TAs zip code if the documents are going to be delivered to them first). I checked some client's reservation numbers for the cruises two weeks before ours and they are out for delivery :yay: :yay: So about two weeks and we'll start to see ours there!!!

If DU is your TA, the documents will be coming to you. You will have to put in your zip code and US to track yours since someone else is using the same reference number.

It's too soon for them to come so everyone step away from your computers!!! :lmao: :lmao:

Never too soon to hope though! ;) We leave 5 weeks from tomorrow! :santa:
