Snowing! We still have the A/C on!

We're going to MNSSHP tonight with our friends, and probably won't get home until 2am - then back to work tomorrow morning, ack. I'll be wearing flip flops and a cotton skirt. Just have to make you guys jealous

On the flip side, when we're "freezing" in the 50s and 60s weather we may have in PC the first night, you guys will be warm!

Edit: and I'm very excited, we're really getting into pre-cruise shopping time soon at our house. Our Total Wines trip will be soon, this weekend if I can drag DH! But the Food and Wine Festival is NOT helping my diet here.

I am jealous!! Since they are calling for rain snow all weekend.

We went to MNSSHP last Sept. Have fun tonight !!! Tomorrow's Friday. Used to say that when I was younger and went drinking Thursday nights and went into work the next day. Those days are long gone.

I always find the first night at dinner cold and want a sweater because of the AC. One trip I was so cold the waiter brought my dd and I a table cloth to cover our arms. I am sure I looked cute.

My dd is into the same shows. When we were school shopping it broke my heart that she didn't want princesses on her jeans anymore but wanted a Hannah Montana stuff. She has also been princesses for Halloween this year she is wants to be a witch. She can still fit her Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella dress but not sure if I will be packing them this time around.

Both kids do not know about the trip yet. Last time we didn't tell them until we were on the way to the airport. They thought we were going to Grandmas house since we had the suitcases.

I bought DD a flower girl dress in pink from an ebay seller - it came with the headpieces and a wrap... she LOVES it... she cannot wait to wear it on formal night. So although she doesn't play dressup much anymore, she has now moved on to bigger fashions, lol. She says she wants to be a doctor and a fashion designer. She'll have the fanciest scrubs out there!

Friday is almost here and I am in Virginia. Great 12 hour drive today but the colors were gorgeous in the mountains and parts of the Smokey Mountains were, indeed "smoking". Quite a sight.
Just think we are on the downsides of the 40's--42 days to be exact!!!!!Thanks for letting me continue to do this. It keeps the excitement up!!!!
The new person wanted to know about lodging before and traveling to the port. We are doing Hampton Inn at the airport (MCO) the night before and are renting a car from Hertz for the drive to the port. From part of our research it seems that the Hertz place at Port Canaveral is only 2 miles from the ship and there is a shuttle to the ship and back to the Hertz place. It also opens at
8 a.m. on the Saturday we get back. Hopefully we are going to carry our bags off the ship asap so we can get to Hertz and then quickly get to the Yacht Club for Mousefest. We (Basil Fox and I) have registered for it.
We are staying at the Hilton across from Downtown Disney. When we made the arrangements I was not an AP for WDW. We got a good rate in the concierge section so DH and MIL will stay there while Basil Fox and I will attend Mousefest. The next day we are going back to Michigan (Probably snow, too). Also, about Hertz: it was a good rate (can't remember what) but I was able to pick up a coupon from AAA that gets us a "1 grade" upgrade for free. Hope that works. We reserved an SUV: 4 adults=some luggage going down and at least 1 extra piece for me on the way back--hate the $40 it will cost me--oh well, souvenirs and MAJOR shopping at the ports, on the ship and lots of pin trading here I come--it will be worth it!

Happy Friday! We are 39 days away from leaving for our trip, so I am already in the 30s YIPPPPPEEEEE!

Yesterday, I got a dress for semi-formal night. I love it so much, I'm going to wear it to Palo as well. It was SO nice to have a dress slip on perfectly... usually something doesn't fit right. Of course, I need a major bodyshaper for help... can you say SPANX!

Anyway, I just double checked everything... no cabin change... we're still in first class on our flight... and our Universal hotel prices haven't dropped any further.

Towncar - after getting nervous about not hearing back from FL Tours a few weeks ago, I booked Happy Limo as a backup and was so relieved that I did when I heard FL Tours had that nightmare of troubles. So we are going to stick with our ressie with Happy Limo.

Let's see... I am undecided on dressing up for Pirate Night. Maybe it's because I am too lazy to dig out our shirts from last trip.... and I don't have anything for the kids to wear... and they didn't stay dressed very long anyway. Hmmm... maybe I will have to think on this some more. Maybe we'll all get Goofy pirate ears and wear white shirts.

ME TOO!! We are 39 days from our trip too! Doing the "in the thirty day dance" with you!

I think I check our reservation everyday. Still the same cabins for us too! Spoke to the Yacht captain for our private yacht so really excite about that!

We are staying at the WL before hand and really excited! Although my sis and I have to sleep in the bunkbeds cause that is the only room we could get! UGH! oh... should be an adventure! We are going to the MVMCP on Dec 4th! Animal Kingdom all day on Friday and hitting both EPCOT and DHS on Wed!

I, unlike Joy, am sticking with FL Tours. I have talked with the new company that is taking over for them called Canaveral Cab & Bus Lines and he confirmed all my info and I feel a little better about it. I am going to call him closer to time to reconfirm. I called Happy Limo and they are quite a bit more expensive! They were going to be close to $400 for my 3 leg trip!

We are going to DTD after we leave Port on the 13th! Some last minute Christmas shopping and a Disney fix! Our flight does not leave until 7:30 that night.

BUT.... I need suggestions! HELP! We were going to check our luggage at the airport on the way to DTD but we can only check it 3 hours before our flight. Do you think we could check it at one of the resorts before head to DTD? I know we are not staying at one of the resorts but I dont believe they check that? I know it is kind of sneaky but dont want to haul it around DTD! We cant leave it with the car because we may not have the same guy pick us up! TIA!!

I just finished my stockings. I went to Michaels and got some foam stockings, letters and winter decorations and made a few stockings to put magnets on the back and stick on the door.

Just bought my son a new suit today. Everytime the sale people asked the reason for the suit was, I said it was for an up coming picture. Almost said for a cruise too but the kids don't know yet. They were probably thinking I was crazy buying as suit for a picture.

Dear Group: Sorry I was not on line yesterday--I missed the 41 but now it is 40!!! I saw the posts about being in the 30's--I am sooooo jealous and then when I saw that someone was going to Club 33 I REALLY got excited! You really have to be someone to be able to go there!!!! I want a full report when we get on the cruise. Only getting to stay in the Disney Suite at Disneyland or the Castle in WDW would trump that!!!!!
I am down here in Williamsburg, Virginia and tonight we went to the Bruton Parish Church and saw and heard an organ concert. The church was lit by candlelight and it was really nice to be in a building that has been in existence since the 1600's.
Earlier in the day I saw Mickey Mouse--that's right he was right here in Williamsburg before the football team. I took his picture but, guess what? He just wasn't the RIGHT Mickey Mouse that I was used to seeing. He had on a tux but it just was NOT the same! But, for a VERY short time it helped to KNOW that in just 40 daysI would, indeed, be seeing the REAL Mickey Mouse and not just someone pretending to be him.
I also read on winotracy that you have or are going on a Dis Board Podcast cruise. If it was in the past did you have a great time? Basil Fox and I are going to Mousefest when we get off the Magic and can't wait to meet the Dis Board Podcasters, The PassPorter people (also from Michigan), Lou from the WDW Radio show and others that we listen to on a regular basis. I can't wait to talk to you about going on a cruise with the podcasters.

HOw big are the portholes on the cabin doors? I will probably just make mickey heads for our doors--way too much happening here for me to do much else. I will probably be the only one going to Pirate Night, so I won't dress. After dinner last year, the everyone missed a great show! Maybe I can keep the kids up this year.....

The DISUnplugged Podcast cruise is May 10, 2009. You have to book through Dreams Unlimited to get invited to all the special events. I'm actually the agent handling the reservations. It's going to be a great time.

I am TOTALLY confused. Hawaiian Mickey says it is 38 days and I have 39 daysas of Monday, 10/27/08 at 12:44 a.m. EST here in Williamsburg, VA. Are you a day ahead in Hawaii? 39, does that not have a FANTASTICring to it? Talk about excited....
Tonight was a harpsichord concert and the trivia I learned was Henry VIII (you know the one who ate lots and beheaded some of his 7 wives) composed music for that instrument!!!!! It was nice music, too. The harpsichordist also played God Save the King and Rule Britannia among other compositions. He also had a great voice. The concert was in the Capital Building and was done by candlelight. I was VERY impressed.
Hope you all had great weekends, too. I got the email from Bubba's Mom and I will have the Hidden papers to you by the middle of November. For some reason, the Wireless connection I have here can receive emails (I can not send any) and I can get on this board to be able to post for all of you.
Also, thank you to Winotracy for the info on the Podcast Cruise. I will think on that. I KNOW I want to be in WDW on December 15, 2009 for DH's birthday and on December 18, 2009 for my birthday. I also was thinking of doing the land part of Mousefest which, I think, is from December 12-14.

Sorry to confuse you. I'm counting the days from when I leave for WDW then on to DCL.
We just came back from Disneyland. We had a great time. Had brunch at Club 33 was most excellent.
Going to bed now got to get up in a few hours. Got to fly to Hawaii/San Jose/Hawaii/LA all in 2 days. I just see the airport for about an hour.
