12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

Woohoo! Hello fellow cruisers! We just got our MVMCP cards in the mail today! Can't wait!!! Will anybody else on our cruise be at the MCMVP on 12/2?? (besides reneeaiko and her fam:goodvibes ) :santa:::MickeyMo:santa:::MickeyMo:santa:

I hope everyone has a great weekend,.........we're getting close! pirate: :beach: pirate:

I was whining about how our flight times were changed, and we won't get to POR until after 5 pm....then I remembered how far you have to come from ALASKA!!! How long is the flight? Youch!! I hope everyone has an uneventful and smoooooth voyage!!

Thanks Beerhider! It's always iffy flying out of here in the winter; we have been snowed in on more than one occasion.

We take a 2 & 1/2 hour flight to Seattle and spend the night, then we hop on the Orlando flight for 4 & 1/2 more hours. How long does it take to get there from your neck of the woods?? I hope your flights and traveling are smooth as well. :woohoo: Here's to only a few more weeks!!

I will be 1001!! I am counting the days.... as it seems we all are now! Luckily... we leave a few days before the cruise so I am down to 48 days! WOO HOO!  :yay: :dance3:

I am trying to decide between massages and other spa treatments. Anyone have any suggestions? Any thoughts!

I am signed up for a Cabana Massage! I am psyched!

Okay, I have just spent the last hour researching rubber wristbands instead of working :rolleyes1 and I have counted up that we're around 80 bodies -- 50 adults and 30 kids (roughly) that have checked in...

So 80 braclets would cost us about $2 per bracelet IF everyone wants one... Might be a bit higher if I have to go below qty 50 on the adult size....

How much interest is there? Maybe I will send an email out tonight when I get home, as I don't think everyone checks in on this thread regularly.....

I can fit "Pirates in Paradise 2008" on there. Would be an easy way to spot each other in the terminal.... you all can find me to check in and get your brochure and bracelet.... Maybe I'll wear a funny hat...

(Does anyone's kids watch the Wizards of Waverly Place? Cue chant - what's that? a hat? a crazy funky junky hat....) Okay, back to work....

Yes I am interested. Let me know the details. I like the wristband idea over a shirt as you can wear the wristband all the time, rather than a shirt.

Let me know the details

If any of you all are going to Mousefest afterwards and register, I believe they send out the nametags and lanyards beforehand. So we would have those on the curise as well. I hope to get mine before the cruise.

I did pick up a lime green polo.

Oh I believe its 49 days away!

We'd be in for some wristbands. I'd pay for 6 adults. And if we're getting child sized ones too I'd pay for 3 of them.

I like the glow in the dark green ones better than the green/white striped ones, but do you know what they look like when they aren't glowing? Are they still the right color green? If not, my preference would be for just plain lime green wristbands without the white stripes. Especially since I probably wouldn't have my wrist in the light enough to keep it fully glowing.

We had these on our last cruise and they were lime green when not glowing. In fact we weren't told that they were glow in the dark until one night we had them out and turned out the lights :lmao:

We only need two adult ones but found on the last cruise that sometimes there's a price break of you order more. On that cruise it basically cut the price in half so we ordered more to help get to that mark.

The last time we went we were worried about hurricanes! This time it will be snow and otherwise nasty weather!! It only takes us a little over three hours from Boston, but we will have a layover on the way back  thanks to Jet Blue changing all their flights around!! So getting home will take closer to six hours!! But it could be worse.....As long as we get where we're goin', right!!

Hi again everyone! It's been several pages of posts since I posted.. I am making a Mickey Countdown Calendar today! The kids are just as excited as me! I am up for meeting at a buffet. We liked the Topsider's because we could eat outside, quite nice it was. I will keep checking in to see what is up. Count us in for a bracelet too... 2 adults and 3 kiddos. WooHoo!!! Can't wait:cool1:

The bracelets are a nice touch. We are in too....

4 all together.

I think it would be hard to get everyone to eat at the buffet when we get on. Sometimes it is hard to find a seat for your family at Topsiders little alone a whole crew like ours....

I am still working out details on how to get to the boat and from where. So not sure the time in which we will get there. I do want to be there for 10:00 or 11:00 though. We don't even have a hotel for the night before yet.

I'm OK with anywhere we choose....it can be a little crazy when everyone first boards....Maybe during the Sail Away we could designate a meeting place?
And Joy, thanks again for researching the bracelets!! (Did I mention we would love, if you are ordering, six adults and two children?)
It is quite chilly here today....Can't wait for Florida!!! :beach:

Yes Joy you have done a great job with everything. We sure have a lot of 8 year olds.

Yes the weather is getting really cold in the morning now. We have been getting frost in the morning too.

Can't wait until we get that beautiful warm weather. Makes it easy to pack head too since we well not be wearing those clothes for awhile , just as long as the kids don't out grow something in the mean time.

I agree with meeting up at the Sail Away. From what I read, by that point everyone has done all the last min reservations and drills and such and has a chance to relax.

Reneeaiko - could you please edit your link to delete the link to our private page? There is alot of info on there that I'm not sure everyone wants shared and this is a public board....

Totally sorry, didn't even cross my mind. Your completely right!! Looks like the thread master took care of it for me...sooooo sorry. Sorry about being such a space ball :scared:

Dear Group: I survived 12 hours of washing pans at the Haunted Forest Weekend! It was fun but my hands are puckered!
The official countdown is 46 days!!!!!! The days just keep counting down and each day I get MORE excited. With having Basil Fox for a son and us both being on this board we keep each other psyched!!!!! Add to that all of you WONDERFUL people and the thought that Mickey is waiting for us on that "Magical" boat just adds to the excitement.
I decided to add some trivia to the post each day for all of you. Did you know that the two 55-foot totem poles in the Wilderness Lodge, the Eagle and the Raven, were carved in Washington State?
Have a magical day!pixiedust: :tinker: ::MinnieMo
