12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

I am glad it was not too much trouble. I really need some photo editing software on my Mac but I wanted to wait for Photoshop Elements 6.0 which comes out this month so I have been making do without.

Google "pixresizer" and download it (free). I use it all the time... it's what I used on yours. Much faster than opening up photoshop when I just want to size down a pic without fussing with resolution settings and such.

I'm glad you like the site! My goal is to start gathering info on everybody so we can see where we have something in common (other than Disney, of course!)... so that it's easier to connect when we "meet."

I'm looking forward to filling up the kids pages... I always love seeing who my kids are going to play with in the club.

I am sorry the navigation on the site stinks..... if anyone has any better ideas, I'd gladly entertain them :)

Hope you all have a great week and happy Easter!

Hey everyone! I haven't read all the posts here, but I just switched to this date today :woohoo: We are so excited to see the ship and Castaway Cay decorated for Christmas plus see it all on an Eastern sailing! It's going to be me and DH (Tracy & Bill), Guarantee category 6, second dining.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

Thanks Joy for starting the site!! :cool1: Hi Tracy, I'm glad to see you're on our cruise! You've been an awesome TA so far and it will be fun to meet you on the cruise!! :boat: Only 8+ months to go!! Here's hoping time flies.

I can't wait to meet you too!! We were originally going the following week, but I really don't like the Western itinerary so this will be great!

Becka,
Our tax return will pay off the cruise too!! I am waiting on airfare until we pay it off.

Joy,
Thanks again for the website! I e-mailed you some additional information about our plans and DD's name and club info. I will try to get your a pic soon! Good luck with the weight loss, I just lost 40 on WW, so my goal is keep it off and get a new swimsuit for the first time in 6 years!

:flower1: Happy First Day of Spring to everyone!

We just had snowfall last night, not a lot but enough for me to say...AHHH! Easter Egg hunts in Southeast Alaska are always a challenge. The big question is always...snowpants or no snowpants.

Anyway, Happy Easter to all.

~Renee

It is nice to see our little group growing. It won't be long before we all get to meet each other on the ship. :)

We are gearing up for Easter here. We dyed some eggs this afternoon and the kids colored some Easter Bunny sheets to leave the big bunny. DS said he wanted to leave him something for being so nice to him every Easter. :rotfl: We don't have very big plans for tomorrow but I am making a big turkey dinner with all the fixins' since I am not very fond of ham. It is like Thanksgiving in March. ;)

I just ordered the new version of the Passporter and I can't wait for it to come in. :)

I hope everyone has a great Easter!

Joy - I looked for this but it looks like it is a Windows only app so it won't work for me. Thanks anyway! :)

It look like Photoshop Elements 6.0 is out on April 1st so I will just have to wait a few more weeks to have fun with my pictures. ;)

It's so cool to see all the people signing up for the google group!!
Is the Passporter a must-have for the cruise? I'm a cruise newbie. pirate:

We are in Easter mode here too. We dyed some more eggs last night. That's always a good time. Of course, my DH makes the obligatory wax-resist butt egg every year! We will be doing a leg of lamb tomorrow night and a "treasure" hunt for booty after dinner!
Hope everyone has a great holiday and here's to the Easter Bunny bringing everyone gourmet chocolate!:tink:

I found the Passporter to be invaluable for our cruises - especially our first. While I love the DIS and you certainly can find the answer to any question here it is so nice to have a book to reference as many of those questions come up.

Bummer! I am a Windows gal myself... had Apple all through high school and college and switched to PC and haven't gone back since all the software I own is Windows now.

Try one of these: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/batchresizecrop/Batch_Resizing_Cropping_Tools_Tips.htm

Hello Everyone! Just thought I would post a quick comment. Our family is taking our first cruise ever with you all on 12/6. It will be Myself(not-so-DH lol)-40, DW-40, DD-16 and DS-13. We're in room 2141, late dinner seating.

Theres an awful lot of helpful info and tips here on the Dis, and we're reading it all and taking it all in. :thumbsup2

Nice to meet you all, and every day we get just a little more excited. :yay: can't wait to see the ship all decorated for the fat man!....well, I mean the other fat man :santa: ;)

Somewhere in my planning I saw the codes for rental car agencies for their location in Port Canaveral. I can't find it now, can anyone help me find this. I am trying to price the one way rental car, versus town car service, versus Disney Transportation (for the way back).

Thanks! I am waiting for my Passporter Deluxe, I can't wait to have that planning tool to organize everything!

I have used codes form mousesavers.com and costco.com. Some of the rental sites also have a specials, or hot deals tab you can click on too. Good Luck! We, personally, are using FL Tours to get from WDW to Port Canaveral! :woohoo:

Welcome to the group!!! :cool1:

We really need to come up with a name for our group. All the other really cool cruise groups do and we don't want to be left out do we. ;) Besides saying Welcome to the <Fill in the Blank Cruise Group Name> sounds so much better than the generic welcome to our group thing. :)

Mousesavers has always been a great place to get rental car codes. I think there are only 2 (maybe 3) rental agencies in Port Canaveral so if you are doing one-way rentals that will limit you a bit.

Are you looking for discount codes? If so here's one for Budget through the DIS http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-transportation.htm#rental

But I think you're actually looking for the location codes. For Budget, it's CC5 and Avis is P3F.
