Woo Hoo, Jackie!!! :woohoo:  :cool1:

hmmm...just thinking about my jumbo shrimp at the embarkation lunch...and the cold mango soup...:cloud9:

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. love that Mango soup!

OK, here's my story from this morning.

About a week ago the four homeless girls were getting antsy and decided (well, I decided!) to do Mon 10/1 midnight as a cut-off for the DVC to go through. In my head I had pictured a husband and wife sitting around that weekend discussing their tentative plans for WDW and deciding to release their reservation. So on Monday they would be calling to do that, so on Monday the AUTOMATIC computerized waitlist system would process that and so on Monday rooms would open up. So I figured Tuesday (today) AM I would call Susan and have her check her 'account' and see if the points dissappeared. So I did call her, she checked and NO, no points were assigned. So I told her to withdraw our request and we would go with Plan B, she said she'd do that later today. So, I e-mail Janice to go ahead with Plan B. Less then 5 minutes after hitting 'send' Susan calls and says, "Good thing I called before going in to my meeting, while I was on the phone with Member Services the lady says....your 2 bedroom at SSR JUST went through." So, I frantically e-mail a STOP THE PRESS message to Janice...then freak out for the next half hour hoping she has seen it and wasn't on the phone with CRO booking plan B! So, she wasn't and all is well.

So, that was my morning and why I was a half hour late for work!

Let's request Congress Park section...that's the one with views of and is closest to Downtown Disney!

Hello everyone. We are back from a wonderful trip. It is not every day that you get to celebrate your Birthday for 27 hours in the same day.

As I was reading all the posts, you guys have been busy, I saw the 100 dreams sweepstakes. My question is where do you sign up?????

Hey, I just read this on the parks board:

For Disney Visa cardholders, a special free private meet & greet is offered daily 1:30 - 4:30 pm at Epcot. Located in the Innoventions West building, just past the Where’s The Fire? and Play It Safe exhibits is a curtained off area. Guests with card in hand may join the line for their own private meeting with 2 or 3 of the fab five. Not only will there be a PhotoPass photographer onhand to take as many photos as you wish, but each account (up to 2 accounts per family) is entitled to a free 5x7 print available later at the Camera Center. While each account is limited to one print a day, cardholders are free to visit multiple days of their vacation if they wish. Currently this offer is set to expire on 9/30/07, but originally it was meant to end 9/30/06, so it’s anyone’s guess if it gets extended once more.

I'm not familiar with this, anyone else?:confused3

Hey Sarah!!! Thanks for the Weasley pics!!!

you welcome he like to scare the dogs hiding waiting for them to come by and jumps at them :lmao:

Jackie - sorry I forgot to call back... but WHERE are you? I'm getting worried - it's almost 9 p.m. and your cell went right to voice mail and I didn't hear from you today (I assumed when I didn't call you - you would call me and say ...HEY AREN'T YOU EXCITED?)

YES I AM by the way!

Im so happy now - I was really really hoping that being patient (not a likely story for me) would pay off and I was right!

YIPEE!!! Although I am really trying to "be in the moment" I am excited about this trip!

Hey Sarah!!! Thanks for the Weasley pics!!!

I AM! AND it has been extended through 2008. I figured with all the time we plan on spending at Epcot, popping in her for a photo shoot with Mickey and Friends is pretty likely to happen! You never know for sure which characters will be there (can't count on 'The Man' always being there). But they play around with you for a little bit and you can also take pictures with your own camera(s). We should think up some silly poses...like all playing rock, paper, sissors or something.

Sorry, Peg, cell was turned off due low battery.

Off to do some DVC/DDP research.

Welcome home Dee. Want to hear all about your Disneyland experience...but, um, don't you have a TRANSATLANTIC trip report to finish? Eh? :lmao:

OK...did find out that I can now buy my park tickets on my own. So I can get them in advance...if the plane is late, we can come right to LeCellier....lord knows we don't want to be late to dinner!!

The only differences with DVC are 1) you don't pre-pay, you pay at checkin; and 2) you don't have to buy park tickets you don't need. So...if you are going to need park tickets, you can save a little by ordering them from a discount site rather than paying Disney direct.

Spoke to DSis yesterday - she is so stressed juggling her sons new school/football schedule - I had her laughing by the end of the conversation regarding Pat's express!
Yes, Congressional building - yes, dedicated unit.
I will pm u this evening with my DVC resie number so we can link our rooms.
went to bed at 10:30 last evening...
Welcome home DEE!

Hey, did you kids hear about this?

Beginning this fall, Disney Cruise Line will introduce Onboard Airline Check-In, a new service that enables qualified guests to check-in for their post-cruise flights while on board the Disney Magic or Disney Wonder, eliminating the need to do so at Orlando International Airport. Guests participating in Onboard Airline Check-In will not have to collect their luggage upon debarkation, since checked luggage will be transported directly from the ship to the guest's flight. While on the cruise, guests' boarding passes will be delivered to their staterooms the day prior to disembarkation. Upon the ship's return to Port Canaveral, participating guests can proceed directly to Customs and then to Orlando International Airport where they bypass check-in and continue straight to airport security and on to their assigned departure gate. To take advantage of this service, guests will need to meet certain requirements and be booked on a domestic flight on one of the seven participating air carriers: AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, or United Airlines/Ted. Eligible guests will be able to enroll for Onboard Airline Check-in by completing pre-registration information received at Orlando International Airport or one of the Disney Cruise Line Hospitality Desks at the Walt Disney World Resort and turning it in during check-in at Port Canaveral.

Just remember, you won't have access to your luggage in the morning, so you can't add anything in. Whatever you have with you will have to be carried on and pass airport security (I'm thinking some toiletries here could be an issue...I personally need sharp objects for grooming :scared1: ). I know I liked to throw some things into my checked bag (toiletries, jammies etc.) before handing them over to the airlines.

I keep typing this message over because I do not know how to share this. I am, for the most part, a private person. My birthday present to myself was a mamogram. I wish I could return it because I do not like the results. I am sharing this because I do not know what my future holds or if my plans will change. I realize it may have an effect on others traveling with the group. I can barely type this without crying, :sad1: which I have done a lot of these past couple of days. I have another diagnostic test on 10/16. :scared: If I will not be joining you, I will do my best to let you know ASAP.

I really need to finish my trip report, but I have not had the desire since I cam back. I will try to force my self to post it (thank goodnes I wrote it everyday onboard) and add the pixs.

Please bare with me and forgive my future abscence.
