Hi all, dress warmly!!!!!You've been warned if your having a post cruise stay at WDW, my wife and I are not good luck when it comes to warm seasonable weather in December.
We've been to WDW in December three other times just about the time we will be there this year and it has been sorry to say....FRIDGED.
The last two times 2004 & 2005 we had frost warnings four nights during each of our stays, I mean it was cold!!!!!
I hope our luck changes this time.

No...I'm not packed. Just already have Disney 'park' supplies all in one place. Around Thanksgiving I'll be rummaging through my t'shirt bag, to see which one's fit. And that kelly green Tigger sweatshirt is coming along for sure......oh, wait.....Peg said I can't wear that in public....but I think she ment 'real world' public....not Disney public??

Bob, well I hope you luck changes. We're at WDW pre-cruise and I generally have really good 'trip karma', weather included. So we'll do our best to get decent weather to hold over for you too! Actually, I think evenings with a bit of chill in the air will help get me into the holiday spirit. AND there's always the resort hot tub as a remedy!

Luckily Bob, we are staying at the parks BEFORE - obviously a good choice to avoid your curse
I am just hoping for sunny weather on our cruise as I know that ocean swimming will probably be limited.

Hey in 2008 DCL is adding Saratoga Springs to the land/sea resort options. It's for a one bedroom and ties in with catagory 5, 6, 7 (and maybe 4 too....I forget already). I think THIS choice might make a land/sea package a pretty good deal price wise.

I think the rental price thru Disney would be very high....

Your room choice would be a regular hotel room at AKL, Swan, Dolphin, Beach Club or Poly vs. a one bedroom at SSR...it would all be the same cost...just seems like a 'roomier' deal! I realize I'm assuming the rack rate for a one bedroom at SSR is more than a Beach Club room, so maybe I'm wrong there. Usually when people do land and sea separate, it's because they want a higher level on one end of the trip and don't care about the other. Like a nice resort at the parks, but stuff me in a cat 11 for three or four day cruise...or the reverse. It's a nice option for the Cat 4 people, who may be booking that cat because they have five people...now those five people can spread out in a one bedroom at SSR.

You are right, that is a good deal...I would take a roomie 1BR over a hotel room or studio any day....wait, I could be tempted by that AKL room

Hi everyone. I see that you do not have much longer to go before your trip. I can read the excitment coming from all of you. Yes I read the note about the cold weather in December. They are right. When I was down there in Feb one year, trying to get away for the Northeast winter, we went to our car and there was frost on the windows. So you always need to be prepared in Florida. I hope you will all have nice weather and enjoy your trip.
My jury duty in Sep of 6 days is over. It was a different experience then the one in 1974. The judge was a doll. I mean the jury was treated like we were royalty.
I am now counting down the days til the one year mark for our Nov 2008 cruise. I am excited in the fact that my DS is also coming with his fiance. It will be nice to have both my step son and son on the trip.
I am praying so hard that all goes well for Dee, because a trip just ain't a trip without the obsessive, complusive planner and her great sense of humor. She is our hero when it comes to keeping everyone informed of the plans that are being made and what we are to have or not have. I pray that it is nothing serious. She is more than a friend to me she is family.
Remember Dee, we are all praying for you, and on this thread that's a whole lot of people!

Hi everyone....hope you all have a good weekend - it was sunny but a chilly 60ish here on eastern LI .....

But still, wasn't I surprised to get a LEFTOVER Christmas card from PoohJen, she is just so thoughtful!
I will forgive this transgression as it contained a check - nothing like getting money in the mail

And I also received a surprise package from Dizney-cruiser Janice - with info/pictures and a really nice "Pink Warrior" scarf from the Race for the Cure Breast Cancer walk she did last week in Denver. WAY to GO JANICE!

And finally - my DVC connection thinks that my brother and sister are now confirmed into SSR with us....

And did u see the new signature guidelines..... OY - such bother for such a little thing!

Jen....regarding entry time for MVMCP....

Currently for MNSSHP, the official entrance time allowed is 4PM. They have special lines for party ticket holders to enter the park.
