12/6/07...Anyone with us?

Hello all!

Anyone ever take the Nassau Historic City Tour or the Ardastra Gardens and City Tour? I have been reading poor reviews of Nassau as a port on other threads, but I figured maybe we should get off the boat and at least see the Bahamas since we have never been there for a couple of hours. My wife's parents and Aunt and Uncle will be with us and they don't like heavy, long distance walking, but a moderate amount is OK. We will also have our DD(3) with us, so I don't want her to be bored. Are these tours worth it? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Last (and only) time I was in Nassau, I didn't get off the ship. Probably won't this time either....three days is just not enough on the WONDER!

I love my other tickler and had to re-create.... OH MY!:lmao:

Well, Hannosmom, Chichihoney, GreyFal and Faireygod Mother are all at Castaway Cay today!:beach: The last day of their TransAtlantic crossing. can't wait to hear their stories.

WELCOME HOME KIDS!

...hmmm...so what would it cost a mvmcp'er to go on this little 3 hour tour..???:boat: Tigger sisters, we could just speak to each other in bad French and pretend we were in the Med!:rotfl:

Meet you all here in three months!

Hey ya'll! We're home and I am exhausted! I didn't even make my bed this morning, because I forgot how.;) We ate too much, drank too much, and generally had too much fun. Spain is beautiful, the seas were calm, and Castaway Cay was hot, but great for snorkeling! The Magic held up very well to all us rabel rousers, but they did run out of berries, lemons, limes and Heineken. LOL!!!

I will do a better posting after I have rested awhile, like maybe a week.:)

I've been enjoying Sarah's trip report that she's sent via email. Sounds like you had a lovely time. I do totally get the "enough" drinking... as I am now a light weight!

I can't wait to see photos - dont forget to post those. Here are a few of my kids for your viewing pleasure!

we too have been enjoying sarah's trip report! great job sarah and thanks for taking the time to put it together for all of us!! :thumbsup2

ok, so, uh, in case someone was wondering, are y'all LATE or EARLY dining, and has anyone linked for a rotation?:rolleyes1

Also, no Pirate Night on the 3 day?pirate:

also, what time can an avid DCL'er expect to get to Port from Saratoga Springs via Disney transport. Assuming you won't arrive til a little later in the afternoon (sob!), will you pretty much "walk right on" or is there more paperwork and waiting to be done?

We have late dining and will be linking dining a little later on (once Peg and I get confirmed in the Walt Suite). We plan to request TAP (the 8PM seating)

There is no pirate MENU...but there is a PARTY...on Nassau day.

We will also be exploring resort to port transportation....perhaps discuss with Linda/Pat. The four of us (Janice/Linda/Peg/me) don't know which resort we'll be at yet, but I'm sure there will be town car kind of arrangements made. IF one were to use DCL transportation....a 1-1:30PM arrival at the port could be expected AND check in at that time is very fast...you practically walk on the ship.

this is just in case..........

Hello all!

We did the Ardastra Garden tour with a 4 year old and we loved it. I highly recommend it, in fact we may do it again this trip for some of the newbies with us.

Hello all. We are home, happy, safe and fatter. It was the most awesome trip I have ever experienced. Disney did it in their typical style.

I managed to hook my neice and now she will be joing us for the this cruise. She is bringing her bo (life is short and you do what you gotta do, no doubt we will put a smile on our face and have a drink in hand). My sister does NOT know they are coming. I am of the opinion that my family does not have enough drama because we are always trying to surprise someone. Maybe I am getting old and realizing that surprises are not all that they are cracked up to be.

Speaking of getting older, I am planning a trip to Disneyland for my big 5 0. We will be there the end of the month. Does anyone have any recommendations on wht to see or not to see. I want to maximize my time, but not stress out. We are going to have dinner at the Napa Rose becasue we just sailed with the GM. he was wonderful.

Well I look forward to seeing you guys real soon.

Keep me posted on the dining rotation and any other plans you may be considering.

Well we are all back safe and sound from the Med Repo! After being waited on hand an foot I have to say if sucks to cook and clean :laundy:
I (faireygodmother's neice) and my bo will be cruising along with you all! I think I have finally gotten hook on these cruises :thumbsup2 So what are some cool things to do at Nassau? I've only been there once and we did the swim with the dolphins thing. I think it was windy and the water was cold then, so I guess water excursions wouldn't be a good idea. I have read that several people are staying on board and I have read that it isn't a great port. Any ideas for those you want to leave the ship?
