I read somewhere on this thread that there is a shuttle launch scheduled for 4:30pm on Dec 6th, our sailing date!!

Now how cool will that be The closest I have been to a launch was way back in 1991 with DW when we were at the Kennedy Space Center and the shuttle was on the pad, we missed the launch by three or four days.
I'll keep my fingers & toes crossed they have no delays........hey we could have a sail-off & a lift-off party!!!!!

Your friend doesn't happen to have about 32 points she could rent us for a studio at OKW, does she? We're trying to get in the nights of 9 through 12 December. We rented from a DVC member last January and fell in love with OKW. Early December is a popular time so I don't know if a studio would be available, but thought I'd try. I've posted on the DVC rental forum, too.
I hope it's okay if I ask that question in this thread.

I'm pretty sure she does not have any extra points, as she was renting to me and someone else. I can't check with her right now as she is in Florida, but I'll ask when she gets back. I know pretty much everything for the first two weeks of December is on wait list! (Those darn DVCers double-booking resrots goodness know's I'd never do that )

Wow, I didn't realize the time for making Palo and shore excursion reservations was sneaking up so fast. If I remember correctly, we can't make those until the trip is completely paid for, right? Or can we?
I need to go dig out my PassPorter Guide to the Disney Cruise Line and review everything, along with the paperwork from last January's cruise.

Sounds like you guys (gals) are a lot of fun - we hope to meet up with you onboard.

If I were you - I would post on the DVC threat that you are willing to "buy" some points. You may have much better luck - since there will be gads (I'm guessing) of folks who would be willing.

Wow you folks have been doing some cruising, I was just reading some of your trip reports and you all sound like a very cool group indeed.

What is a double dip? is that a ship realignment from east coast to west coast?

How many cruises have you all taken?
My wife and I have been talking about a cruise sandwich for years now and are hoping next year in Oct. to do just that. We have booked Oct. 12 of 2008 on the Wonder for a 50th Anniversary for friends of our, can't wait for that.
Has anyone here done a sandwich before? is it better to have more days before or after the cruise?
Just want to find out which might be better.

the double dip is 2 stops at castaway cay for the magic they took out the keywest into first day at castaway cay then friday another day at castaway cay.

east coast to the west and the west coast to the east coast is a rep

Bob, this will be cruise #3 for me. I did a 4 day in Nov 05 and the 7 day 'Double dip' in Nov 06. I also have #4 booked for next May for the westbound Panama Canal repositioning cruise.

And we can't wait! I just finished ordering some snorkel stuff for Castaway Cay. They have such a nice snorkel area with tons 'o' fish. So lovely!

Indeed - one of my fondest memories once I figured out how to connect my snorkel tube to my mask!!!! The farther out you go the bigger and more fish show up. And... if you take pretzels in a plastic bag - they will follow you all over the cove!

One of the guys on our Panama Cruise thread hooked a bunch of us with this web cam (live) from AFRICA!!! I finally after days of watching saw a RHINO drinking from the pond. I saw a little bitty animal walking around but it was too small for me to figure our what it was. Now I know why - in relationship to the RHINO he was tiny!

I'm having fun now! I can't wait till the sun comes up (9 hours ahead) and I get to see Zebra, etc! Now I want to go to AFRICA!!!!

Wow - that's a cool website. Can't wait until it's daylight and critters start coming in to fill up. Any idea what time zone they are on, or how many hours earlier they are than say east coast of U.S.?

BTW - Southwest is still not open for booking Decmeber flights yet!!! ARRRGHHH
