OMG Cheryl - she looks just like you - this is your DD's girl? She is super adorable. Plus - you two also look good! ARRGHHHH!

We had more than ever...........about 90 children!!:thumbsup2 I was a balmy 70 degree day which is unusual here for this time of year.:flower3:

In our old neighborhood we woul dget around 200 kids -- most of the them *brought in*.
That's great that y'all had such good weather! We usually hope that it isn't too hot here! Some years it's so hot the kids can hardly wear their costumes because of sweating so much! It was in the mid 80's here.

Great pics!!!!! The kids are adorable!!!!! I remember when you got the call from your dd when she thought she was in labor with your dgs!!! I'm sure the CM at Shutters won't forget either!!!

Just reading my Disney insider's blog and found this:cool1: Not counting on it but the part about the "resort Disney is building South of here" makes me think that they may already have this in the works. Could we plan on a 2011 reunion here at Disneyland and cruise on a new ship:yay:

May I take a moment out of your schedule to remind you all of something:

Hello!

We're back from that Princess Sapphire cruise! It was a nice voyage and pleasant controversy free time with my Father and relatives. I must confess that we skipped the zip line in PV in favor of doing the dolphins there as they had a better deal compared to Cabo - so we ended up ALL doing it instead of just Alicia and Julianna. So - I did have a nice time in PV in spite of missing the zip line thing. I guess we'll probably do it again next time we sail through - more so since the kids will be larger/older and probably qualified to do it in more places compared to the ONE place in PV which would take Julianna at her size and age.

Aside from that - I don necessarily want to go into too much comparative detail as this forum is a Disney community - and we DO love sailing with the Mouse - however I will say I am happy to address and specific queries if anyone were so interested - and you can choose from posting a public inquery or sending the Qs privately. I will admit to rebooking with Princess whle aboard to get their modest incentives.... so that should validate our favorable impressions of Princess.

Quick note....I hit an oil slick with my bike and broke my wrist. ER says I will need surgery.

Debbi... I'm very sorry that you took a spill and fractured something in your wrist. I broke my hip and wrist in a bicycle accident a couple decades ago so I have some idea of what may be coming. In my case it was a triangular bone that "floated" in my wrist so no surgery was involved - just some discomfort and a cast to immobilize it... then some lite PT afterwards. The hip was another story as one broken bit of bone had muscles attached so it all had to be put back together with surgical bolt and a huge 1.25" titanium washer. And no ... I don't set off metal detectors at the airports with my hip.

At any rate - may I offer some gentle "get well soon" wishes your way Debbi!

Ahhh.... Laura,

The good ol' get out and vote chat has begun already! And a non-partisan bit of encouragement too - (thank you) - as we DO need more folks in our jury pool so Alicia and I will not get summoned as often! < wink >

SO - it seems we've only posted 82 entries in the 10 days that we've been gone (11PM of the 24th to 11PM tonite). I guess that's a reasonable pace with 8.2 entries per day; or an average of one new posting every 2 hours, 55 minutes and 36.585 seconds.

Sounds like a possibility!!! :thumbsup2 Unless we have to go down tp Florida and close a contract on our house.:woohoo: Of course............we could always do a few days stay-over at WDW after returning and then go sign the contracts.:rolleyes1

I am so sorry Debi! I had had a big spill on my bike and biffed it hard on the ground a few days ago, thankfully my head hit on grass, a bit dizzy for a few minutes, a slight sprained ankle and bruises all over, but nothing broken, thank goodness. Things are already starting to go away, but not even as serious or as painful as your accident. I hope that you recover soon!

Hey Debi,

Add Linda and I to the list of people wishing you a speedy recovery!
I love your signature too! I am hoping our Baltic cruise thread will have a good one soon!

Tis all over , but the shouting! No more nasty political ads! :cool1: Our precent has 1,917 reg voters and 860 voted. I was 186 at 9 AM. Our PTO made $450 on the bake sale.

Of course I was patrotic and stimulated the economy today! And my Disney VISA card!

Thanks to all who went out to vote! Cheryl, I knew you and John would vote.

I must be overtired. I thought that said "I WIN!!!"

I didn't even know Cheryl was up for re-election.:confused3

LOL!

It's funny...dh and I both have voted in every election since we turned 18. I assumed most people have always voted...it turns out not to be the case....

Oldest ds always votes Libertarian.
Today when he was going into work a couple of woman were out there chanting and asking everyone who they voted for Obama or McCain (ds works in the IT dept for dh -- and I thought HR might have something to say about these *ladies* and their behavior....) and ds looked at them and answered *Neither. I vote Libertarian.*
They didn't know what he was talking about. They thought you could only vote for Obama or McCain..... Since here in TX at the top left side of the sheet it has Democrat, Republican & Libertarian (in case you want to vote a straight party ticket) we're thinking these women have never voted before...... And they are around my age!!!!!
We can only assume they only voted for who they wanted for president and didn't bother to fill out the rest of their sheet since they couldn't discuss anything else that was up for a vote -- believe me our ds loves to get into *discussions* with people. ;)

I wonder if these ladies realize that even if Obama wins that the Democrats have had control for the last 2 yrs so, what do they think will be different??? :confused3 :confused3

I did! and I worked and worked and worked..I have never seen so many people! we had over 800 people in our precienct (I know I spelled that wrong but since i just go home after working the election for the last 16 hours...I deserve it... :rotfl2:

Have a great night everyone...

Cheryl..great pics! Debi..sorry about your wrist!

BTW............I am a winner. I was given a gift card from Sears at a Baby convention(john's company he works for has one there) and I won a $500 gift card to Sear or Kmart.

I should be a politician.............it does not always take a great mind to run the country!!!:lmao: :lmao: I am not taking sides either,:thumbsup2
