12/30/2011 8 Night Magic New Year's Eve Celebration!

Working on the FE'S should have them done by this weekend:worship: Checked with Continental and our four bags will fly free:cool1::cool1:. Found out the rate at the Hyatt has a corporate rate for my company that is cheaper then AAA:banana::banana: Saving money for the cruise any where you can: PRICELESS:thumbsup2

See everyone real soon:dance3:

Thats awesome that your bags get to fly free... I don't have enough flyer points with Star Alliance to do that :sad2: But I do have enough Hyatt Gold Card points that our stay is free.:cool1: But in the end I don;t really care... I'm going on vacation and away from cooler weather here in Canada!!

::banana::cool1:TWO WEEKS!!!:cool1::banana:

Sorry. Couldn't resist, and DH has really about had it with my countdown. Why is he such a stick in the mud? :confused3

Had to come here, where people understand. It's like "Cheers", but without the bar.:rotfl:

I finished my FE gifts today. I hope everyone likes them. Now to pack...or at least think about it.
I am sure everyone will be really happy with your gifts. I know what you mean though you always wonder if they like them. I have never received a bad gift. Hey while I am thinking of it I want to put this out there, I need an assistant greeter for the Dis meets on the second Sea day. Judi and I can cover the first day in the promenade lounge at 1030am but I need someone to cover the second sea day in diversions at 11am anyone who can be the greeter please let me know.:santa::yay::dance3:

Cheers that is great!
I finished the last final exam today. All the college papers are graded. Everything is cleaned out from this semester and I have 2 items to prepare for the new semester because when we return it is right back to work. I want a massage at Castaway Cay. I need a Cabana boy! Teaching six classes as a part time instructor running between two colleges was brutal but alas it is jammies time til the cruise! I say keep counting! 13days to go til I fly!:yay::dance3::cheer2::santa:

Just finished grading final exams and posting grades myself. The "out of the office" email response is activated (I don't need complaints about a grading system that was clearly explained last September), and the tree is up!

The trek begins Thursday:
Dec 22-26: Sister's place in Georgia for a Merry Christmas.
Dec 26-30: Saratoga Springs Resort.
Dec 30-Jan7: CRUISE ON THE DISNEY MAGIC!

Happy-dance time!:dance3:

Hi everyone! My parents and I (Mike 21) will be joining you for New Years. We took this cruise last year on the Wonder and had such a great time we decided to do it again. This is somewhat of a graduation cruise, since I received my bachelors degree today. Still have one more semester of school to wrap up my masters. I am going to try to catch up on the thread, but if someone could fill me in on any meets or other things that have been discussed I would appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing everyone in 13 days!!

Welcome aboard Mike and congratulations on earning your degree. I know there are two meets planned but have forgotten the when and where. I'm sure someone will fill you in on that.

So much for the plan on everyone being healthy and in one piece for this trip. I have walking pneumonia, my mom has a respiratory virus and my brother has torn the ligaments in his wrist and will be in a brace for a month. Oh well at least no one is contagious and I still plan on having a good time. Two more work days and then on Wednesday we are out of here soooo ready for this trip.

Finally booked an excusion to go see the Baths on Virgin Gorda! Now I'm trying to decide what to do in St. Martin and St. Thomas. We've been there several times to see the islands so I was looking into some non-Disney excursions.

Has anyone heard of/doing the Captain Alan's Three Island tour? The mud baths really sound like fun!

I'm thinking about the helmet dive, is anyone else? Nemo is doing the real scuba diving, so I am solo.

Hi Everyone!
We are really excited! Remember the first dis meet will be our first sea day- meaning Dec 31st at 1030am in the promenade lounge. I m planning to be holding a little party fan saying Dis meets hopefully you will recognize the groupies. If not just starting asking for Barb and Judi. Also I am stilling looking for a helper to to the greeter for the second dis meet at diversions on Jan 1st at 11am. Anyone willing to just be there and say hello and be friendly let me know. Happy holidays to everyone. Dont forget to make that last checklist before you leave.
See you next week!:santa::dance3::cheer2:

OMG!!!! Next Friday we set sail!!! Isn't that exciting???? I know I'm so excited... In a few more days I can finally let the cat out of the bag and tell my DD's we are going on this cruise. I have so much to do between now and then. I still have Christmas presents to wrap, FE gifts to get all packaged, call DCL to order a case of water for our room and a few other things before Christmas Day. I just can't wait to leave, smell the ocean air, find a nice lounger and just RELAX!!! I so need to spend some time enjoying life and taking it easy!!!

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone and I look forward to meeting you all very soon!!!

You can scratch the water off your list if you'd like one less thing to do. There are tables and drink servers(I'm not sure of the correct term) who you can sign up with all over the ship. We usually take care of it right outside Topsiders on Deck 9. Deck 9...now that's music to my ears.

Thank You for the info!!! I was actually dreading having to make that long distance phone call to place the order. I could have faxed it in but really who faxes these days when there is email everywhere!! :)

You really pay that much for water? I bring ours with us. I pack a case of water in our luggage. No way am I paying 30.00 for a case of water when it costs 5.00. I put into space bags, seal it tight and wrap it between some tshirts and other clothing. It doesn't make the luggage too heavy either. I thought it would till I tried it. It passed and flew just fine. No leaks or anything. We fly Southwest so as long as our bags are under 50 lbs it flies.
