Did I mention to you guys that I booked this cruise without my husband knowing!!! My mom and step-dad went on a cruise at the end of this past January and talked about how cool, temperature wise, it was. I was looking at this cruise because it was cheap(ish), but my husband was convinced it would be too cold in December. I plan on telling him around September! I've mentioned it to my son - in his little 6-year-old head he knows we're going. He can't wait. Plus the cruise is a week before his birthday so that makes it even better. My daughter (19 months) already loves Mickey Mouse so it will be impossible my husband to say no to them. He loves the cruise and the ships so I know he will enjoy it. I just got to wait until the right time to tell him!!!

Only 7 more months according to y'alls countdown!!!

This sounds familar. On our first cruise on DCL I made our resv through DU without my DH knowing. I did this basicly because he kept on making excuses that I wouldn't like to cruise and gave excuse after excuse for me not to make a resv with DCL. I finally told him when the deposit was non-refunable. He knew of our WDW trip but not the DCL cruise. Of course it was just the 2 of us no kids. Now he loves to cruise. Now due to our cruising we haven't been to WDW for 5 yrs. I cannot wait to go back.

Our first cruise was in January with DCL and if I can recall it wasn't all that cold in Nassau. The only time we felt the coldness is when we were on the 10th deck on DCL and it was extremly windy and cold up there.

Lisa, your husband and kids will love this cruise. 7 more months and counting down

LOL This sounds exactly like something I would do !! I hope it is nice in December. I say a prayer every day that it is since i've made such a big deal about it with everyone thats going along
I know i've been in Nassau at the beginning of November and it was very comfortable and then at the end of July and it was so hot i thought i would melt!!
oh ya..I check that count down religiously lol.

Hello everyone!!!! Hope you all are doing well! Its been sorta busy around here, but now that my kids summer break has begun, things should calm down a little bit

Even though our cruise is at 6 months away, i'm still doing shopping, planning etc lol. I still haven't gotten around to making my Fish extender yet...something I've gotta do. I still have a few more T-shirts to make yet..just when i think i've made enough, i find more cute ideas...oh well. I just don't wanna go overboard! Even thought about doing some shorts to match with them but i don't know.

Hello and welcome!! Nice to "meet" you lol. I am in the process of starting my fish extender, but have never participated in one, so I can't really inform you as I need informing myself lol. I have not even decided what I am going to give as a FE gift!!
A little about us....we are a family of four (DH,36 me,34 DD,11 and DD5) We are in 6606 and my mom and stepdd will be going along with us and staying in a connecting cabin.

Just checking in to say hello! I've been reading up on the boards and making magnets. I started making some for myself and just got carried away and now I have a whole photobucket full! Anyways, from what I've read for the FE the organizer collects everyones names that wants to participate and info and right before the cruise they email everyone on the list. Some arrange a meet and greet and give the list to them then. This is my first cruise too so I guess just go with the flow.

I have seen some of your magnets over on the DISign board and they are wonderful!! I will probably request some as well if you have the time. I'll have to look through them again to decide

Another thought to "mill around"....are we going to have a Dis meet? Doesn't matter to me, just wondered if we was planning on one.

Is everyone going down early or on the day of the cruise? We are stay in Port Canaveral for 2 days before the cruise, so trying to figure out stuff to see and do then as well.

Can you tell I am excited and can't wait for vacation? LOL

Its been a while since I've posted. DH, DD, and I just got back from WDW. We are DVC members and stayed at our home resort, BCV, which we love. Spent most of our time at Stormalong Bay but did go into the theme parks a couple of days. DD and I both reached the highest score of 999,999 on Buzz Lightyear.

Milliepie--your designs are awesome. Would love to have you personalize a couple for DH and I. Are you going to do any Disney Christmas designs?

We would enjoy participating in the fish extender exchange. Although we have been on three DCL cruises, no one in our group wanted to do it.

On our last cruise, we had a meet and greet in the Promenade Lounge at 3 p.m. This worked good as it gave us enough time to meet everyone and then get to the lifeboat drill. It's nice to do this at the very beginning of the cruise because then you keep running into people you "know" throughout the whole cruise.

Hi! Sounds like you had a great time at WDW! We are planning our first trip to WDW for May of 2010...I am just amazed at how much there is to planning one! I honestly didn't realize there was so many details to it!
I can't wait to do the FE..I have been looking for ideas for gifts but i'm not very creative lol. Also, that does sound like a good time for a meet and greet...I remember the time between boarding and the lifeboat drill seemed like forever!

Aww...what great pics! Looks like wonderful memories were made I have 2 dd's and can't begin to imagine how I would feel if they were moving ..I know that has to be quite hard for you.
