Greetings Disney Wonder Folk! I just booked this cruise as a surprise for my other half for christmas. I booked a GTY Cat 11 and received an upgrade to a Cat 9 within the day. We are both Platnium Castaway Club members but have only sailed on the Wonder 2 times-1 3 day cruise and 1 either 10 or 11 day cruise a few years back. Like I said this is a surprise and after just 2 days I want to tell him so badly-LOL Has anyone planned a surprise vacation before?

Looking forward to seeing friendly DIS faces onboard.

Can't wait to see what changes they've made to the Wonder either!

As for not being a talkative bunch..we take it in spurts, but with kids, school and work it is hard to get on here as often as we'd like.

That's not a problem. If the weather is warm, that is exactly where you will find DH and I for most of the trip except I will be drinking tropical drinks!

If you would like to come by the meet and greet, please do! You don't have to stay long. You can get a beer at the Promenade Lounge and just "Hi". Its kind of nice to get together the first day so you can put names to faces in case you run into any of us during the cruise.

Have you still been able to keep everything a secret?

I sure hope the weather is warm for us! My oldest dd keeps asking if we are going to be able to get in the water at Castaway Cay. I told her to just keep her fingers crossed!!!! She has begun the countdown with me lol..I think we are all anxious to get started on this trip, I know I am We are surprising them by leaving that monday, they thing we're not leaving till tuesday. Going to pick them up from school and start about halfway down. Can't wait to see what their reaction is

donmil- have you made any more plans for your dcl house party? I've got a room booked, and a tentative menu set, but thats about it. I don't know whether to play some games or not. I can't even think of games to play lol. I hope they will let us use our OBC for this on our upcoming cruise.

Hey Lisa!

I just about have all my names listed in the invite section. Before I send them I want to finish calling or emailing my family so they'll know what to expect.

I would like to be able to teach everyone to make a towel animal but I have got to learn myself first which means I need to find instructions. Sounds like we'll have puzzles for the kids and I'm printing off coloring pages from DCL's Castaway Club page for the kids too. I might do a Disney Trivia cruise too. Give a prize for the trivia and the towel animal and maybe just a door prize. I hosted a luau a few years ago and I'm trying to find what I did what that stuff. I have a feeling I thru it away.

I'm thinking about doing separate areas of my dining room (which is empty right now since I'm having a new table and chairs made) Make one area about Alaska and use the totem pole. Make one about the Caribbean and use a palm tree. And make one about the Mediterranean/Northern Europe but don't know what to use as a focal point. And I guess I better do a Mexico one too.

Food is going to be more finger foods-wings, meatballs, subs, nachos, desserts...and Castaway Punch recipe I found online and capri suns for the kids.

Wow!! that sounds really great! I'm not that creative lol. Mine will have fingerfood as well. I am going to try to make some of the cold mango and papaya soup they serve in Parrot Cay and I'm going to try to do a virgin version of the Konk Koolers. Probably will have the meatballs and a veggie tray and that will be about it. I am going to make up some goody bags with the stuff they send in the party pack, and print off coloring pages too. I am completely stuck on the games part though. i don't really have the money to buy a bunch of door prizes, and to be h onest im not really in to party games. I am going to try to burn a disk of our cruise pics and set them up on my laptop to show as a slideshow as well. We will be so ready for vacation by the time this AND Thanksgiving is done!!!!!

If I get a trivia quiz made up, I'll email it to you and you can use it too if you want to? I don't want to spend much money on it either. Food alone costs enough. I'm glad they are sending puzzles and tattoos for kids! I think we'll have a blast and it will be a good way to hype us up even more for our cruise! Yippee!

Booked airfare for the little one that could have been free today. I don't think that he would have been a very good lap baby for 2 1/2 hours on the plane. This way I can enjoy my plane ride with him in his carseat.

I've got my WDW small planners completed, FE gifts done, shirts done, FE done, pirate costumes done...I think that I need to start making a list for packing purposes. I'm way to excited about this trip.

Has anyone seen the Dream pictures? DH showed me and I really want to go.

Wow...You'd really make me choose lol!!! I like all of them, and so do the rest of my family. I personally guess, if I had to choose, it would be Mickey. My girls (of course) like tinkerbell and princesses, but they also like mickey and minnie too. We aren't picky Former Cast members,huh? I bet that was the best job ever!!! I am anxiously counting down the days myself....I can't wait. My kids ask me every day how many more days do we have,mom

I love Stitch because he reminds me of my boys but I totally adore Mickey and Minnie.

Donmil- Cute FE!!! You did a great job! I am still trying to figure out what to us to put the names on the pockets of mine. I bought some iron on letters that were made of crystals or something like that and they didn't stick at all.

My printer is messed up..so I am handwriting the FE /cruise group document by hand lol. i have a few questions ( i'm not blond,but I should be I think)

I noticed on the FE document where Rebagarth and party's info. had been changed. So will room 6572 and 6574 have separate FE's? Or do all gifts go in one? Also, will Denise and Eileen have separate Fe's as well. Just want to make sure so I can get an accurate count.

Also, is anyone going to take their FE and FE gifts with them or mail them ahead of time? I can't decide what to do. We are now leaving on the 30th of Nov and driving halfway down. My fear is that they will get lost in the mail!!!

Thanks guys! I'm even more obsessive about checking my countdown ticker than I ever was lol.

Sorry I've not been online much....so much to do, so little time. Computer crashed and was out of commission for a week. Can only do so much on the phone. Disney trip was put on the back burner while planning and organizing my DD wedding. Engagement Party two weeks from tomorrow.

I'm soooo going to need this trip after all this. FE is almost done, just need to finish off the dowel and put names on it which has me stumped. Thank you to my friend Monique and her major talents. She did the FE for me last night. I love it

My sister is already packed and she doesn't fly until 11/23. This is a great trip for her...baby sister turns 50, going to WDW and cruise and NY. I'm not sure what she's more excited about.

Unfortunately Brad was not successful in getting Steve and his crew to join the FE.

Less than a month and we'll be in WDW!
