12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

Hi All,

We will be on our 5th Disney Cruise on the 24th of December (Our first Christmas). It will be myself 40, DW36, DD6, and (New) DS6 months at that time.

We will be leaving from the Dallas area on the 20th and will drive there and fly back. Actually, we got luckt because the rental car cost was not bad at all, Now the gas is another story. But it will give us a chance to see the sites, and enjoy without all the rush.

Not sure where we will stay, but i am sure it will be interesting.

Welcome. My son will be 6 years old a month after the cruise, so close in age to your DD. My daughter will be 23 months at the time of sailing. Good to have you aboard. 5 cruises on the DCL? Wow! This is our second, we may rebook onboard for summer 2010 if they announce plans to go back to the Med. We'll see.

Cheers,
Adrianna

Andy thanks for the links! I will have to check them out. Glad to hear that you like the food Adrianna. I have heard mixed reviews. But we didn't sign up for a gourmet cruise, right, so what should we expect?

Honestly, I was impressed by the food, but then again we're not fancy folk...

He's a little bit country...
and I'm a little bit rock and roll...

I'm taking Lindsey and her best friend to Oklahoma City to see the Jonas Brother in concert tonight. We will be staying over, and going shopping tomorrow. Since Dale had to leave this morning, I'll also be taking Val(oldest DD) with us. I'm gonna be in need of some adult companionship. Two 15 yr old girls aren't gonna cut it...:rotfl2:
Anyhoo, be good everyone, and I'll see ya when I get back. Hopefully with pics, if I can remember my camera!:confused3
Later Gators!

A buddy of mine drove the Jonas Brothers when they were here for the NHL All-star game. I had to ask who they were:rotfl2:

I found this from another thread. Go here and download the file (for free) http://www.download.com/Waltograph-Font/3000-2190_4-10355417.html?hhTest
It is a font called Waltograph that you can type out things in a font that looks Disney-ish. You are welcome.

That was the font I downloaded for the lady when I was getting my tattoo. We ended up not using it but now at least I have it thanks for the link:thumbsup2 Since I have a dd12 I am all too well aware of who the Jonas Bros are.;) Unfortunately they are not coming anywhere close to where we live so she will have to admire them from afar! I am sure Brenda is having a good time apparently they are quite good to see in concert!

Oh P.S I now know what empty nest feels like. The first of four robin chicks flew right over my head today to leave the nest. It turned out there were 4 not 3 and it has been a wonderful 2 weeks watching them grow up!

My kids know and LOVE the Jonas Bros. Good thing they haven't really found out what concerts are or how to find out when they are coming. Guess I will leave that up to them to figure out. :rotfl2: I have only been to a few big act country concerts at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Nothing major. To a friend of mine a concert isn't a real concert unless its GNR, Skynyrd, KISS, Motley Crue, etc. My closest thing to a real concert is when DD, me, DD's friend and her mom will be attending the American Idol Tour when they come to town.

Remind me to tell your kids about pollstar.com:lmao:

Welcome Dad22Angels_AC:yay: I'm AndymanGA sister and my parents, DH, DD6 turning 7 on the cruise and DS21 months at cruise time.

Well the last of my robin babies flew the nest this morn. I took everything down and powerwashed all the poo away:sad1: I will miss them. Tomorrow I am going to go and get my tat finished. Courtney how exciting your kids know the Jonas Bros! I will have to tell dd12!
I got stung on the eyelid by a wasp today:sick: I just cannot get into the stampede spirit this year. The parade was really crappy and it put me in a grumpy mood;) I finished printing all the junk off for summer holidays. I am looking forward to some nice beach time:cloud9: Finally did our taxes. Yes we were late! Good thing we have a refund coming!:teacher: Hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying summer so far!:thumbsup2

OH OK, then I shouldn't mention they were in Dallas last night:rolleyes1 The girls tried their best to talk me into driving to Dallas yesterday so they could go again:rotfl2: They would have been happy with nose bleed seats:lmao: So they say:rolleyes: Heck, they are trying to talk us into taking them to one more concert before the tour ends. But the closest would be Denver, or St Louis. Neither of which I want to drive in. Heck, I won't drive in DFW no way no how:sad2: That place scares the bejeebers outta me.:scared1:
I would love to go to an American Idol concert. They are coming to the Ford Center in OKC. But I think it's this month, so tickets would be scarce, if they aren't sold out already.
Michael and a friend of the family is going to Dallas the end of the month to see Slipknot. That's not music, that's just screaming.:faint:

Ok, I've put it off long enough. Time to balance ye ol checkbook, and pay the mid month bills. Catch ya'll later.

I was in Dallas in early April for business for my first time. Got to see a Stars game. We were 3 rows off the glass:thumbsup2 Would have loved to seen more of the big D... We have a free weekend at a hotel in Austin between now and early May 09. Never been and cant wait for that.

Drag n' fly I went by the arena this afternoon. They have about a dozen Phaneuf AllStar jerseys for around $116. Sizes range from M to XXL. Let me know if I need to get you some.
