12/24/08 Christmas Cruise on the Wonder

26c is about 79f. The lady I bought it off of is a completely different lady. She is a dis lady too and hers also look very beautiful.:thumbsup2

She did a online shipping estimate and it turned out to be 8 dollars less and she refunded it back. Nice to see an honest ebayer! I special ordered a tink themed one:goodvibes If you don't see one you want you can special order them also. I will pm you the link.

We are in connecting rooms 2594-2596.

Seems I'm probably the only one with an inside stateroom. :sad1: Part of what I had read as best room for those who get sick (which I tend to do in car only don't know about ship although there is another story involving a little charter boat) was an inside. Another said to get a balcony. I'd like to get an upgrade too but doubt it will happen. :confused3 Besides....kept more money for the excursions and whatnot. Jealous nonetheless...

Can't remember if I already posted this here, but when I calculated the avg. cost per night of the cruise, we had a Cat 5 in January that cost us $650 per night and this time it'll avg. $925 per night for a Cat 9. Passporter suggests that young children's body rythyms do better with a window allowing for natural daylighting and night, or we'd be in an inside stateroom. Holy Chowder on the peak holiday pricing, DCL! I guess they can charge whatever the market will bear. :scared1:

We chose a cat 9 because I need to have a window or else I would feel like I was sleeping in a closet.

We are on the 2nd floor (Cant remember exact cabin number just yet). We are in a Cat. 9 in the AFT of the ship.

I read that too. I figured since the kids are not quite that young they will be fine. I usually like it dark or I can't sleep anyways. The slightest light wakes me up. Gotta hate the holiday pricing. Any other time it wouldn't have been an issue. That's crazy!

Ahhhhh! The packers are here. Hard to just give up control and let them do their packing thing! Fort Leavenworth here we come. :scared1:

Awwww, you are leaving me already? Just breathe, it will be ok. Sorry Val couldn't be the one packing you this time. I assume the driver will be loading you tomorrow, then you will be gone.

Nah, we're a two day pack. The movers estimated us at 14,000 and I have a lot of dishpak nicknacks and other stuff that needs custom boxing. . We have 4 gals here and they haven't made it upstairs yet or down to the basement yet. Moving van on Wednesday, so we can't clear quarters until Thursday.

Dale would love a 14,000 lb shipment. He loaded a small one here and headed out to Al. this morning. He has other shipments on that he loaded in the San Antonio area late last week. Seriously, 4 girls and they are still on the main floor? You have that much stuff or are they just slow:rotfl2:
Sorry, been in the business too long I guess. I expect everyone to work they way I used to,and Dale still does. :sad2:
Maybe it's a good thing Dale isn't loading you. He would be there breathing down the packers necks:lmao: When he has a big move,he always shows up on packing day to do inventory. Sometimes he is even able to talk the shipper into letting him load a day early.

Well, hang in there. It will be all over before you know it.

Wow! Have a great move!:woohoo: How far are you moving from where you ae now? Ya I know dumb hillbilly canuck knows nuthin???:lmao:

Well I have stuff to do today and im a siting here on the computer...WHY??? Because I locked my keys in the van and dh has the other set. So I call him up at work...I locked the keys in the van?...ok well go to the side drivers window and call Roadside assistance...WHAT???? I can't call them that would be sooo embarrassing, what if the keys are not there? I have LOOKED everywhere...Um Annette he says that is what roadside assistance is for. Man am I gonna be embarrassed if they are not in there:rolleyes: :rolleyes1 I called them and it is Caa coming...which is too funny because we have CAA too...same as AAA down there.

Speaking of dumb hillbilly canucks eh!

OMG girl, sounds like something I would do! :rotfl2: I did that once with a new car. I was so used to just lwaving my keys and my purse in the van, which was parked in our garage.(I wouldn't forget them that way) Well, the new car wouldn't unlock unless the drivers door was open for so many seconds. I didn't know, and just left everything in there as usual. Yup had to call a locksmith. :lmao:

Adrianna lives about 20 min north west of me. I live on the east side of Lawton, Ok. and they are on the army post. At least for another three days, then they will be living in Ft Leavenworth Kansas. I wish I had made the time to meet her. I didn't realize they were leaving this fast.:sad2:

Ok, I'm off to weigh in at the dr. Dont want to, but I must face the music. I was a very bad girl all last week, and it has caught up with me. In more ways than one:scared1: Let's just say I know the 5 lbs I lost last month, has come back to haunt me,and brought a few more lbs along for the ride:rolleyes1
See ya'll later

My gain wasn't as bad as it could have been. Only 2 lbs.:cool1: I should be able to take that off easily enough.

Ok, I'm off to the pool for an evening swim before a shower and my bed. Been up since 4 am and am about ready to call it a night.

See ya'll tomorrow!

Good morning everyone!

Not only were my keys NOT in the van they were sitting out in plain view. I was so embarrassed. Then it turns out the guy is from Tampa of all places so I talked to him for about a half hour since we are going there in December!:upsidedow

It is so cold here today 12c/55f:sad2:

We are supposed to go camping this weekend way up in the boonies so hopefully it warms up. Wearing a toque at night just to keep warm is NOT my idea of a good time!:rotfl2:

On August 1 we are on the road for summer holidays. I am so looking forward to some sun and beach time ahhh!

Good for you Brenda! Not as bad as you thought!

Hope Adrianna is doing ok with her move!

Courtney must be working nights right now haven't heard from my DPIC(drinking partner in crime):rotfl2:

Andy your sons birth must be very close?

_AC I see you are bunking in the same area as us. This whole FE thing could be quite a marathon as it sounds like we are spread out especially with Brenda in the ivory tower:rolleyes1 :snooty: ;)

Hope to see the rest of the gang posting soon!pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Ivory tower? :lmao: Gee, where's the love:confused3 :rotfl2:

Glad you found your keys. I still say the person who invents a pager for car keys, and cell phones on silent, will make a fortune :worship:

I have Sinus headache today, and it won't go away. :headache: Spent most of the day just lying in bed in the dark. I finally decided to get up and check my email, and do a few things.
Hope everyone is enjoying the day.

4 days and counting. Of course he could be here today or 2 weeks from today...

DragNfly,
If you go here and enter the code ccm0715 you can get a Ignilia jersey for $45 plus shopping. You should get on their email list. Lots of great specials

We are in cabin 7004. Our parents are in 7006 and AndymanGA is in 7008. All three cabins will participate in the FE. Is everyone else participating?

On a side note, my DD is anxiously awaiting her cousin's birth. She has prayed every night for the last week that tonight would be the night. AndymanGA's wife is encouraging that prayer:worship: I think she's doing great to be pregnant in the summer:cool1:

:drinking1 :drinking: :drinking1 Oh, gee....sorry I haven't been around. Been a little....busy. :lmao:

All kidding aside, gotta love my DPIC Annette. Been busy with work and dealing with stuff around the house and the kiddos. No, no night shifts for me. At least not intentionally. Since I work in the OR it is strictly M-F, unless I am on call and I have been. However, Saturday was exciting for me. Went out with a group of people from the hospital as two of them are leaving to do some travel nursing. Got home at 0145 and had to be at work at 0700. I wasn't in too bad of shape. :drinking1 Good times though. Been trying to get this house back in order. And now trying to plan a trip for me and DD to go to Austin. Gonna get a star map and see if we can track down Matthew McHunky, I mean McConaughey. DH has forbidden me to go now. :lmao: :lmao: As if....I read an article today about how he was flirting and dirty dancing with some girls in Nicaragua a while back. I could only be so lucky....:cloud9: We're gonna go see Billy Bob Thornton and his band as well. That should be interesting.

Well, hello stranger:wave2: I thought you had fallen off the ends of the earth:rotfl2: Guess you were just trying to stay out of trouble...As if that were even possible:lmao: Glad to see you back posting.

hkatmom, At least you will all be easy to find:thumbsup2 I was pregnant twice though summer. The first was a record breaking heatwave in 1980. The last time was with the twins. Which didn't end up too bad. Course I was on bed rest the whole summer:rotfl: Please pop in and let us know after the little guy gets here. Once you are all finished admiring him of course.:cloud9:
Best of luck to them both.:grouphug:
