12/22/2011 Disney Dream Christmas Cruise

Hi all - getting back on the boards again after months of absence. It just hit us that we are THAT CLOSE to the cruise! We are also doing a B2B on 12/18...I know some of you are, too.

Already posted this on the 12/18 thread, but if any of your teen kids would like to connect with DD Megan (14) before the cruise, PM me! On our first DCL cruise last year, we connected with another family and it was nice for Megan to have a friend before we even boarded the ship.

Just added our info to the FE thread!

:yay: Ok..... I am REALLY getting excited!!! I have already started working on my FE gifts and hope they turn out as nice as they look in my head.....:confused3 You just never know how people will like what you put so much thought and time into putting together. (when you are over busy with life, kids, businesses, house duty.... you have to get done what you can when you can find the time....)

Less then 3 months everyone!!! AND way too much coffee already today!!! phone ringing.... back to work!!!:yay:

It is good to be excited! I am formulating my FE's, but not solidified yet. I'm waiting on a few supplies and to see how many people and cabins will be included. I'm also trying to make a list of what we need to remember to bring and spending toooo much time reading posts.....

:yay: I just signed up for the FE!!! I am so excited! I love the idea that there will be a deadline for signing up. Life get so busy, I dont know if I would have time to prepare any "last minute" additions. So, whoever had that idea, I truely thank you!! This cruise will be stressful enough I am afraid, one less item to stress over is wonderful. I think my biggest worry is making our flight out of Minnesota with the great winter wonderland and our lovely snow up here!! and yes, we are leaving a few days early just to plan for flight delays...... AHHHHH!!! {happy thoughts of the Dream,:wizard: happy thoughts of the Dream.....}

Happy Crafting!!!:yay:

:wave2: G'Day Kasha321
It's great to see more families signing up for the FE. I have my fingers crossed for you that your flights take off without delay. Minnesota sounds perfect for me, I Love the snow and cold :lovestruc:

Good idea! I have a spot on the spreadsheet for allergies, so this is one place to add the info. I have an allergy to gluten (in wheat, barley, rye) so those things are present in a lot of places (most commonly found places: all-purpose or wheat flour, soy sauce - because most soy sauces are fermented with wheat- and "malt" such as flavorings in candy and cereal... and of course, beer).

TrySomethingNew - Thanks for adding the area for allergies or special requests I think this FE is going to be fantastic because we will all have the right information and numbers to make this work and with minimal stress :scared1: Now I just need to settle on my ideas :headache:

Thanks so much for organizing the FE spreadsheet! I just got us signed up! I haven't been on here in a while and it's so great to read about all the other families that will be on the cruise . . . cannot believe it's almost October already!!! December will be here before we know it! :cool1:

See you all soon!
Shonna

Hi Shonna :wave2: Yes I can't believe how fast this year is going... it's going to be time to set sail before we know it

G'Day Gourt :thumbsup2 Welcome back to the boards, I have been absent for a while as well. However I find myself on here more now that it's getting closer and closer till we make the 20 hour flight to Florida :santa:

Wow! A 20 hour flight! Your kids must be Angels! :littleangel: I can't believe that it is almost October, and nearly time for us 1st time cruisers to be allowed to sign up for stuff on the cruise!

Has anyone else booked any shore excursions yet? or planning on booking any?

We did the Bahamas cruise a few years back, and highly recommend Atlantis especially with the kids. It's basically a huge water park, and it's a very relaxing day (although, every day on the cruise is relaxing!!!). :cool2: We'll be doing this one again for sure, the kids loved Atlantis. As for Castaway Cay, we're going to try the stingrays, and reserved some floats. We tried to get a cabana, but those were already taken by the Gold/Platinum members. Someday...

Hi everyone! I stumbled on a really great thread tonight that has all kinds of great tips from families that have cruised on the Dream this year. Really great stuff - especially for first time cruisers like me and my family! It's called POST YOUR DISNEY DREAM TIPS/MUST do'S! I have to have 10 posts to post the link, so give me a minute! :rolleyes1

OK, so I was totally planning on making my own FE to hang, but after looking at some of the ones on etsy, I'm seriously thinking about just purchasing one. They're so cute when they're personalized and embroidered! I wish I had one of those super cool computerized embroidery machines!! Maybe if I win at bingo during the cruise, I'll be able to get one!

I just discovered the Etsy site from my friend who cruised last year. They have amazing stuff - will probably order my FE Extender from there, such cute ones to choose from!
