[QUOTE="Got Disney";16329879]Morning all:) ,

Anyone going to go on the Mexican Riviera Cruise or the Repo cruise?????
We are planning for the Mexican Cruise but if they do the Repo cruise when the kids are out of school than Billie wants to go on that again.

For those of you that are interested and did not look at my links they will be announcing the summer 2008 on Jan 17 and bookings on Jan 31.

And if in 2010 when the new ship is due out I will be on it for sure for Alaska...anyone game for that one????that one will have to be booked as soon as the announcement comes out...or will miss out I'm sure!!!! Bet the price will be sky high...after all someone needs to pay for the new ship mys well be us....;)

OK, I think I've got this all figured out.......

1. "IF", and that's a big if, they do the Eastbound Repo the same way they did it in 2005 (leaves LA 8/20 and returns to FL the Saturday of Labor Day weekend), I am definately going to do that one. We start school the Wednesday before Labor Day, and have that Friday off for a 4 day holiday weekend. So, she will only miss two days of school. Downside - it will be her first year in High School and she will miss the open house day also :guilty:. But, if the dates jive, I am thinking it is just too good to pass up.

2. If (by some slim chance) they sail to Hawaii from LA, and the repo days are not good I will book one of those. We are schedule to do CA & HI for Christmas & New Year's this year, but may cancel the HI part either way. If the repo dates work - that's going to be a tough call, but I think the repo will win. I am not interested in doing Mexico out of LA at all.

3. Neither of the above comes to pass :sad1: :sad1: , we will probably sail for Christmas 2008 and get AP's again for a bunch of WDW trips throughout 2008.

Sorry to go on & on, but I have actually been obsessing about this all morning :crazy2: :crazy2:. I think I've got it all figured out from every possible angle though :rolleyes1 .

OH, and yes Robin- we will definately sail with you to Alaska in 2010!!!!!

:headache: Too many possibilities for me...I'll let you know more after the announcement.

We definitely want to do something special Summer of 2008. Unfortunately, our school starts mid August and I'll have a senior. Not a good time to miss a lot of school. That probably means the repo is off for us. I don't know how excited we would be to do the Mexican Riviera...not enough difference between ports to me...but DH may have a different attitude, guess I SHOULD ask! :) If the sailings go anywhere else that would up the ante, but Robin's announcement didn't sound like it!

Now Alaska....that's another story!:cool1: I'm not going to start planning that too soon, just because who even KNOWS if the ship will be on time! By 2010 I will have one son in college and the second will be entering his senior year. :scared1: Let's hope we will be able to afford a cruise, because we would LOVE to do that one!:goodvibes

Kat, the snail mail finally arrived--thanks! Yours did go out today.

You actually ask for DH's input :scratchin  :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks everyone for all the surprises we got in our stockings EVERY day!:goodvibes And thanks for making this a very magical cruise!!:goodvibes
(Sorry it took so long...my winter break was a very busy one!)

I hate to wait 3 more years, but if/when they do Alaska we are definitely IN!! Let's keep an eye on it and if they do maybe we can all sail together again!! That would be great fun!!!!!!

Hello everyone-

It's nice to see everyone checking in. Sorry it's taken me so long. Thank you everyone for all the great stuff you left in our stocking!

I had surgery on Monday and came home from the hospital yesterday. I should be resting but I've been resting all day so I decided to check to see how everyone was doing.

Talk to you all soon-
Eileen

Ok I am up for another cruise to the caribbean right now!!! It is cold and snowy here and no one is coming in and cleaning my room everyday twice a day at that. Oh and the menu here is crappy and if you don't like it you can't order something else. Your stuck eating it. The entertainment -- OK I will stop with my ranting already! I know you guys miss it as much as I do. Good thing I took lots of pictures. I am going to try to post to the yahoo site pictures this weekend. I have to go to my friend's house as we are on dial up and it would take forever. Chat with you soon.

Oh we are probably in for an Alaskan cruise in 2010! I don't know though we have them leaving out of Seattle pretty reasonable like $799pp with a balcony.

Hi Eileen,

Hope it's nothing too serious. Get your rest and get well soon :flower3:

Eileen hope all is better for you and your well. I have surgery scheduled for Feb 1 but may cancel it....woman problems and may wait to see what happens...

Crappy food....crappy food sucks and unless you have time to do gourmet crappy food it is....hard to come back to the same old same old isn't it :sad1:

So here have some popcorn with lots of butter popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: :)

Definitely feel better soon, Eileen! It was great to meet you on the cruise.

Dave says if DCL does do a new ship and go to Alaska in 2010 we are definitely IN!!! He even thinks we should try for the maiden voyage to Alaska!!!! Now how likely is it we'd be lucky enough to get that, eh?? :confused3

Yesterday Dave and Sam emptied the 55 gallon tank and took the fish to one of our local pet stores and traded the fish and filtration system for a guinea pig and it's accoutrements! Sam had one when she was about 2 or 3 and it eventually died, as they do. She has been heartbroken since! So she finally talked daddy into getting another one. This one gets an entire 55 gallon tank to live in! But still..... oh well, it made her very happy.

Hi everyone!

Eileen, hope you're doing well and it's nothing serious!

And yes, returning to the real world..:sad2: I'm not sure whether it's worse that I have to shop for and cook the crappy food or the fact that nobody takes away the dirty towels and brings clean ones, or the backpacks ..or....or...or...

I don't know if I could persuade DH to do a maiden voyage...he calls a maiden voyage the "shakedown cruise." Like I said, with kids in college we may not even be in a position to think about it. How many DVC points do you think an Alaska cruise would take? Maybe if we started saving now...or better yet, maybe we should leave the college student in charge and just Dave and I go! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Think we'd have a house when we got back?

LOL!!! I am not really into the idea of a maiden voyage either.

I am in heaven right now... one of the guys brought in cheese and sausage and veggies today and he had a huge chunk of gorgonzola. I love it AND it reminds me of the cheese plates I get from DCL room service!! Brings a smile to my face which is good because this cold is really dragging me down. I can't breathe right now so the cheese is even better because I CAN taste it :) while I am not tasting much else today.

Sherrena, glad the package arrived finally. I think yours may have taken longer because it was a small box as opposed to a mailer.

I got an email from my dad last night saying he had totalled his car. He hasn't gone into how it happened, but he was taken to the hospital and run through all kinds of machines and tests. He said he got a pretty bad case of whiplash and this morning he is in a lot of pain but won't take any meds because he has to deal with the insurance company, etc. Then he has to get a new car :( . I am just glad he is okay.

Hi Heidi & Holly - glad I got a chance to at least meet you guys and say, "HI". Actually, when I saw two blondes in very familiar looking pirate outfits pirate: pirate: on the dance floor I thought, "That's got to be them".

Did you both run the WDW marathon? How did you do? I give you credit - I can't run up the stairs  - pathetic.

Sherrena - I'm with you - I don't stay at hotels or go to restaurants when they first open. No maiden voyages for me :goodvibes . Plus, I heard cruise lines notoriously cancel maiden voyages because they have mis-calculated when the ship will be ready to sail. Could you imagine having airfare and time off and NO CRUISE :scared1: .

Kat - I hope your Dad is OK. Does he live near you?

No, my Dad lives in Georgia. He is in a lot of pain today but otherwise I think he is ok physically. He has to deal with insurance companies, etc today so he wouldn't take any pain killers. I am still anxious to hear what happened.

Kat - Glad to hear he is ok. How scary. Hi Joanie. Well no school day. Snow. Went on time yesterday more snow then and the roads were bad. Today less snow and better road conditions but due to a bunch of complaints yesterday and only 150 of 450 kids making it to Ry's school closed today.
