Okay found this on one of the threads I visit.....looks like the Magic wil be doing California for 2008..

Magic Coming to California!!!
I have been following this thread with great interest in anticipation of the 2008 itinerary announcement. Well I could not believe that some kind of news has not been discovered as to the 2008 itineraries. So being the internet person that I am, I went in search of an answer. After hours of searches I came across this which answers all of our questions. According to the linked permit from the Port of Los Angeles, DCL (otherwise known as Magical Cruise Company) has been granted a permit for conducting business out of the Port of Los Angeles from May 1, 2008 through September 15, 2008 for the purpose of family cruises to Mexico.

Hi everyone...

cleaning frenzy day here today...removing Christmas and the month's worth of dust that has accumulated! :rolleyes1

Denise, it's great that the thieves didn't get in to do damage, and it's nice to hear that DVC gave your points back. They should, but it's good to hear that they did. We've only had to talk about a point refund once in the 14 years we have owned. That was for a Labor Day weekend at Hilton Head, and there was a tropical storm off the coast that nobody was sure about. DVC said we could cancel and we could have our points refunded or we could come and have points refunded if we had to leave early. Since we were just a few hours away by car, we opted to go and had a great weekend, but DVC was going to do whatever we wanted.

Today is the calm before the storm. While the boys had some sports practices this week, games and all start with a frenzy NEXT weekend. (Gave us time to get organized.) Robin, I didn't know Billie was so into basketball...it is Kev's favorite sport!

Kat, congrats on your reservations. I love visiting Disney any time! I don't know when we'll go back...we're going to Vero Beach for Spring Break, and then Summer we go to a different beach place where we go each year with friends, and then back to visit family. Too bad Dave thinks he needs to work so much of the year! That, the money thing and the kids pesky school schedule really cut into my vacation fun! ;)

Monday I do go in to find out about my work schedule for the next couple of months. During tax season I help a small CPA firm get through their tax crunch. It works out nicely, because I pick up some extra money and keep myself current, yet I'm done before Summer break! He likes not having to pay people during his slow time of year.

OK, now to dust these shelves in the office!

Thanks Robin for doing the research on it.

Ah well, looks like the Repo's will be while Julia is in school (as suspected). That was really the only one (besides Hawaii) we were willing to pay the extra airfare for. If there were any way we could think of to get around the school thing we would be there in a flash. Looks like we will now be looking at Christmas of '08 instead.

I feel like "we know a se-cret" thanks to Robin's research, even though the rumors have been out there. I'm like you, though, I doubt that we will do that one. The repo will be during our school time as well, and while we are hoping to do something special in Summer of 2008, I don't think cruising Mexico will be what we want.

Hmmmmmm.....back to the drawing board.

Hi everyone!

I've been playing with my pictures (finally) and put a few out on the yahoo group. We have this annoying habit of sticking family members in many of our pictures, so most of the ones we took won't interest anyone, but I put out some that were more "generic." If we got something that anyone wants a copy of, feel free to steal it. If you need for me to e-mail it, let me know.

(I also put a few with kids in them because I thought they were cute!)

Sherrena, those are great! I may just take a few. The sunsets are gorgeous and while I have pics of you, Dave and Patrick, I have none of Kevin or Bryan for our trip album so I may copy one of the three of them too. Have you gotten your CD yet?

While I'd love to do a Panama Canal cruise they do seem to insist on doing them while the kids are in school and I know Dave won't want to do the Mexico thing. We may have to look at another cruise line and do Alaska anyway. Probably send Sam out to New York state to spend time with my Aunt and Uncle who have been begging to have her come out for a few weeks during the summer. By then she will be almost 12 so I might even feel comfortable enough to let her fly alone!

Glad you like them! Help yourself to whatever! I'm not surprised you had nothing of Brian and Kevin....with them on the express dinner plan and all!;)

No, haven't gotten the CD, but I'm sure i will soon. I'm thinking between our pictures, some Jen gave me, yours and those I steal from JR I will have an awesome collection of pictures from this trip....please oh please let me actually get them into an album!

Sherrena, great pitcures...Thanks for sharing.

Glad I'm no the only one dissapointed about the kids cramping our travel plans. The more I think about, I think I may look into another cruise line for the PC crossing. I know my SIL/BIL did a February School break thru the Canal a few years ago. The kids missed some school, but with the winter break, it wasn't a full week.

Kat, got the CD......THANKS :thumbsup2!!! That was very nice of you. I haven't has a chance to view it yet, but hope to this week.

Not too much going on around here 'cept the crazy weather. Yesterday was 73 degrees (a record breaker)!!! Today is 50 but is supposed to turn a bit more seasonal, although still warmer than usual, later this week.

Has anyone heard from Jen?

Nope not here...think she disapeared into cyber space with her computer....:rotfl2:

Also Kat the CD came yesterday..thanks so much that was soooo nice of you and everytime I look at the pictures and the Disk I will remember you ...even for years to come....and It will make me smile...:) :) :)

Nope, I know nothing about Jen either...

the last I heard from her, she was sweet enough to put a CD with some pictures in my stocking...(I had asked her for a copy of one picture...she gave me a bunch!)

WE MISS YOU JEN....IF YOU CHECK THIS!

I have sent Jen a message through Yahoo and also checked in with her "Cruise Team" for the DIS Challenge and they also have not hered from her since the end of December.....I will also check her BLOG....:confused3

BLOG has not been posted on since Dec 4th...I sentb her an E-mail through there also have her regular e-mail and sent her a message through there asking her in all to ....Check back in ...so we know she is okay.

Hi All -

Well, it is almost back to life as normal. Finishing up New Year's Cards and putting the last of our pictures in albums. Now waiting for SIL and BIL pics. That could be awhile as everyone is very busy.

I corrected our address in the yahoo site as we are on 112th St. not 12th. Thanks again to everyone for making the cruise special.

I think I still have her cell phone number. I will try to call her this evening.

Hi Angela!!!! Hope you are well. Sorry, I left the 1 out of your address, my fault!

They say we are supposed to get snow in the next few days. If we do it will be the first snow this winter, really. I hope we don't, though.

DH has decided that we are going to fly into Miami for a long weekend and then drive to Key West! We missed so much this last time due to the rain. He wants to rent a convertible and just do a quick weekend getaway thing. He might even dive...I need to start looking into airfares, etc. I guess.

A weekend getaway to Key West....sounds good to me! People tell me it is a lonnnnnnng drive from Miami to Key West...you may want to look at flights that go all the way there, if they aren't too expensive.

The thing with Jen is interesting...she did post a couple of times right after the trip, then disappeared? Strange that not even her team has heard from her...hope everything is OK. Robin, if you get an answer please do let us know. Kat, if you don't have her number I probably still do. I know I put it in my cell when that was the plan for the meet and greet...don't think I ever took it out.

And yes, we have the crazy weather too....Friday and yesterday, pouring and tornadoes South of town. In between, Saturday was gorgeous! (Good for taking in Christmas decorations.) Today it's much colder, but very sunny and supposed to warm up nicely.

Here's another one....we haven't heard from Susan at all either, have we? I miss her here..she was such a regular!

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Morning everyone,:)
First off got an e-mail from Jen on here regular e-mail and she is fine. Her Laptop brock and she had top send it into Sony and is using a public computer...She said that she will touch base when Sony returns it...

I was thinking about Susan last night also....and a few others. Guess we are the only ones without a life...lol...

Also must thell you all that Today is my Birthday...Yay me :woohoo:
I am a whopping 49 today...

Older at age but younger at heart thanks to Disney....

My kids were so mean today because last night I took away computer for 2 weeks...long story on that so I won't bore you...

I'ts nice to be MOM (king)..lol...

Anyway I am not planning on doing much today but when my cold is gone will do something. Told Billie not to bother getting me anything ,feel satisfyed after big vacation. He will give me a message tonight however.

So have a great day and I will check in later.....:thumbsup2

Glad Jen is ok. She must be lost without her laptop!

I heard from Mark right after they got back but nothing from him or Susan since.

Happy Birthday, Robin!!! 49 isn't old. I will be 45 this year.

Work really blows today. I have been hip deep in alligators since I walked in the door and it is only Monday!

I have been looking into different options for Key West and air fares are awful. I haven't been able to fund much for under $1200 round trip for the three of us!! For a long weekend that is ridiculous!!!!!!! Especially when I can find round trip to Orlando for me and Sam in August for about $450 or a little less for the two of us! Now I am looking into what things to do. I want to do a character meal, thinking about the Lilo and Stitch breakfast. Has anyone done that??

party: :bday: A big Happy Birthday to you, Robin :bday: party: Have a nice massage :goodvibes ;)

I heard the same, Sherrena...something like 5 hours from Miami (or it may have been Naples :scratchin - that's where we were looking to drive from). Either way, I remember hearing it was a long, boring drive. $1200 - that's a lot of cabbage, mon!!

Kat, haven't done the Lilo & Stitch, but then again, I can't bring myself to spend $19/pp for bacon & eggs. Besides, morning is prime touring the parks time for us. I always try to be done with everything I want to see by noon so I can either relax in the parks or at my condo. We usually have a PB&J on the drive into the parks and call that breakfast. Wish I could join you guys, but am doing a full week in NYC in April for Julia's Spring Break and that should pretty much break the bank for us. I am looking to go to WDW probably about 4 x's in 2008. I get accomodations dirt cheap so our biggest expense is AP's. We do the Character Dinners sometimes and they are alot of fun. Have you done Hoop de Doo before? No characters but lots of fun.

Hey, has anyone had trouble staying logged into the DIS? Since this weekend, about every 5 minutes or so, I get booted out of my user name and have to keep logging back in whenever I want to post. It's getting a little annoying.

I haven't had any problems.

What character dinner would you recommend, Mary Ann? Sam is NOT into the princesses so that would be out. I got the dining package so would be able to do ones that cost 1 dinner each. I know what you mean about breakfast time! I was just looking into different things that might be fun to do with Sam. We will have three park days and two partial days. I figure the first day (a partial) will be for going to Downtown Disney and having dinner at Planet Hollywood (her favorite place), maybe some swimming as well.
