I always overpack my carry on. Munchies, books, tickets, extra pair of clothes, camera, etc

Now you guys have me nervous about flying Delta. We haven't flown Delta in about 14 years. We go through SLC to get to Orlando and through Charlotte on the way back to Seattle.

Serious rain here - have to cross the Snoqualime river to get back and forth from work to home. See if I have to go around tonight.

I usually overpack too but hey....

It has been grey here but no rain so far, at least not as of lunch time. I haven't been outside since then. I have to stop and get my tires checked on the way home. DH thinks I may have a broken belt in one of my tires and I have to drive to Indianapolis tomorrow so better get it checked.

I really need to get the Halloween decorations down! They are still out in front of the house. They need to go back in the attic. I want to get the suitcases down but I don't think DH will go for that yet! I can dream, though!

Denise, I emailed you the one sign, didn't I? Do you have any programs that open jpeg files? If so you should be able to open it with one of those and then print it in landscape format.

Yes you did thanks and I showed it on the PM's to dh - he muttered to himself, then told me out of ink  Then I told him I wanted the picture you sent to go on transfer paper for a T-shirt. He looked at me like I was from Mars, but whatever......talk to the hand I say .....no one is going to mess with me about the shirts.. :rotfl2:

Anyhow, then I had him look at photoshop and left him to his own devices for oh say 2 HOURS!!!! Don't get me going  .... He SAID he tried but could not figure out how to curve the words - was hoping for that life saver ring, I went back down there and he was making CD's ???? :lmao: What was he thinking??? Tells me he just can't do it.

So I do think I have your picture still - unless my dh has somehow managed to erase it. :furious:

Showing my geekiness, there's no need for a 'special' router once you go through the cable modem -- it's just an IP connection at that point. My first advice when having router problems with my cable connection is I shut off all the equipment, then bring it up in order. Shut everything off, then power on the cable modem, wait for all the blinking lights (technical term) to come all the way on, then do the same with the router, then the computer.

This has helped several times for me, particularly after there has been a cable outage or some other power issue. It's worth a try before you spend money on a technician. Unfortunately, most cable companies won't help you if you use a router unless it is one of theirs.
Thanks I will try all that first!!!! :thumbsup2

Same here on the decorations...told Michael that we will start puting up our Christmas decorations this weekend...we leave on Dec 11th so he want the tree up(tryed to talk him out of the tree this year)...so we wil decorate erly

jeeze...i've only been gone an hour or so and look how many posts...jeeze

Evening everyone!!

Our high school football team won this weekend and we continue in the playoffs. My son did great. I'm not just saying that cuz I'm his mom!!:) Yah!!!

I've been running around all day. Couldn't find a one time use underwater camera (wanted Fuji) anywhere!! Finally found it at Best Buy. I went to staples to buy packing tubes (not sure if that's what they are really called) to put the lithograph (they gave everyone one on the last Christmas cruise) in so it won't get ruined in the luggage. Just an idea if anyone doesn't want to carry the litho onto the plane. The tubes aren't too big so they easily will fit into a suitcase.

Angela--since our first stop is in Key West, maybe you could just buy a case of water there. We usually buy our beer there and bring it on the ship with no questions asked. We just make sure it's (the beer) in a grocery bag.

Have to run out again with DD.

DS12 took down the lights this weekend but can't get the plastic pumpkins out of the tree without a ladder. So we'll swap out those with our Christmas decorations this weekend. It is supposed to be warm.

hey Judy...haven't seen you around for a while lol

Thanks Jen, they should. As I said, if I can make it through the next 4 weeks all should be well. It will be a mess until then, I fear, though. So I come in here and try to forget all about it by thinking about the cruise! :sunny: Sunshine and beaches and the ocean and pirates ... my Jack Sparrow lanyard pin I have been wanting came today!!! Hurray!!!

Isn't it great how the little things in life can really turn a day around?

Been busy all day with errands, two kids at Dr. (flu shots successfully obtained) grocery shopping, etc. Haven't even started laundry...but going to get that going too.

A friend calls me as I'm heading out of the grocery store, says that she saw something that she really thought I needed. So I went by her house to get it, and it was a box of hamburger patties--shaped like Mickey heads! I swear it! Tonight I just picked up sandwiches because we were running late with the Dr. appointment and with the kids all not having school tomorrow they were not going to be home long. Can't wait to surprise them with the Mickey Burgers. A little thing can turn around a hum-drum day... :sunny:

No Christmas decorations are going up around here yet! We have a little tree we will put up but not until after Thanksgiving, as usual. I do need to get the Halloween stuff put away, though! :lmao:

I need to order shirts too, just been too lazy, or something, I guess.

I can email it to you. Do you have MS Publisher or Power Point? I have it on both.

You can get carry on rolling bags.....small suitcases business people use for short trips--just have to be within the guidelines...

I'm not sure we'll do full-blown Christmas decorations this year. MIL comes for Thanksgiving (and yes, I do accept condolences) (sp?) so we never do it until she is gone. By then, it is less than two weeks to cruise. Worth it? I doubt it. I think we'll do minimal this year!
